[ I have n't had to buy new hiking boots in years and though it would take lots of tries to find the right boots. I put these on and was immediately sold on how comfortable they were and how perfectly they fit. I have n't had the chance to take them out on a trail yet, but they have been great for a couple of walks in town so far to start to break them in. I love the color, too. [ I was on a quest to find a waterproof, cushioned hiking shoe for Torres del Paine “ O ” backpacking trek The final pairs were from Columbia and Hoka Speedgoat. The Peakfreak was my final choice as I found that the cushioning level matched that of Hoka, without the bulk. I completed the trek and was compelled to write this review as the Peakfreak surpassed my expectations. The trek was around 70 miles with unforgiving terrain. This shoe softened the impact on my low back and foot pads, yet was sturdy for the uneven trail. We hiked through snow, rivers, mud and my feet remained dry. The soles gripped every rock and slippery root. My Peakfreaks kept me upright while others were slipping and losing traction. Oh, and no blisters and no break- in necessary. The only recommendation is to order 1/2 size up. I ’ m a true 9 1/2 and my toes were a bit crammed. I bought a size 10 and it fit perfectly.

Been wearing these for one month+. So far they ’ re outstanding. My dog and I do 3. 5- 4 miles a day and in colder weather my favorite shoes are Columbia so I thought I would try these out. I have flat feet and I wear custom orthotics in all my shoes so I ’ m very picky. The Konos have great stability, super cushioning I have yet to come home with wet socks. I purchased these shoes in early Feb and have just worn them now. I am impressed with the comfort and support they offer. We go on cruises and I prefer `` water '' shoes over sandals. The style is great and I will also wear them for low impact workouts. The fact that they are water proof and dry quickly is a bonus. I wash all my work- out shoes and air dry them. [ I spent a couple of weekends in these. I bought them so I am able to drive and hike in them but also to be able to put them on and take them off easier when compared with hiking boots. So far they performed excellently. I am also very pleased by them being breathable and keeping my feet cool despite hiking in hot weather. They seem rather roomy and I have wide feet. I was concerned that I may get blisters but in the end I was very comfortable after a 3 mile hike in sandy soil. I would definitely buy them again.

[ This is a good shoe. The only problem that I 'm having is the tongue of the shoe kind of digs into the top of my foot and was a little uncomfortable in the beginning. I 'm hoping that this is just a breaking in issue. I have worn these Teva's for probably 10 years or so and I do love them. Just not 100% sure about the new style just yet
