These are the ones!! True to size, clean look, super comfortable. They are cushioned, they give a little bounce to your walk, and they are a great all around shoe. I love my air max 270s but they are not the best support in the gym. These give good support for running, the recumbent bike, and I ’ ve had ease lifting with them. I 'll admit that I have always thought Altra shoes were not for me. Between the squared off toe box and the zero drop DNA; I just never gave them a chance. That all changed when they came out with the Experience collection and the move to a mid- drop ALTernative. first hike rubber tip on one toe of one shoe starting to peel back. I do n't recall catching my toe on something. I have the altra gators and( not just this shoe but others) the laces do n't go far enough towards to toes so you ca n't use the lace hook on the gator. I push the gator fabric through some laces as a workaround. Other than these 2 minor things I love them

I am trying to progress down to minimalist shoes so the escalante 4 are a good step in that transition. I was n't thrilled with any of the women's models/colors in wide width, so I decided to purchase the Men's Escalante 4( mens regular is equivalent to womens wide width) instead. I wear a 10- 10. 5 wide in womens and went with the mens size 9 in black/white- perfect fit. Of course I wish the color was a bit more feminine, but at least there was a neutral option! I 'm new to the wide toe box, zero drop but I 'm absolutely in love with this shoe& hope I never have to go back to traditional tennis shoes. Zero- drop requires some adjustment time- my calves have been BURNING on walks, so I 've had to slow it down. FYI I tried Flux footwear first, but they are ridiculously narrow, so I had to return( also beware their return policy). I wear my new altras for walking and strength training primarily, and I plan to wear them when I visit London for 10 days in October. So happy with my purchase overall. One critique is I 'd like to see more wide- width options for women.

My go to every day shoe. They are super versatile and comfy. I wear these to work with jeans, skirts, athleisure style slacks- they go with everything. I personally love the chunky look of them and the white leather makes them more fashion- forward and versatile. I wore them everyday straight for a week in Europe and had no reason to switch to my other shoes. They wipe clean easily too. These are not my favorite Brooks shoes for running, but definitely my favorite for daily wear comfort and style. Stiffer at first then other ghost max but they loosen a bit with wear. The Nike Structure 25 Extra Wide is my favorite sneaker ever. I have flat feet and wear orthotics. My orthotics fit like a glove in these sneakers. These are the best trainers I have ever had. They are supportive and comfortable. I spent years wearing orthotic insoles due to knee and back pain but didnt need them in these trainers. I now have several pairs of these. I am able to run 5k in these without knee pain. I wear them for every day things too so I basically live in them. I have persuaded my mother to try them and she absolutely loves them. She is 74 years old with much worse joint problems than me but she has noticed a significant improvement wearing these trainers. I can not recommend them enough. I think all osteopaths and physios should be recommending these to their patients to be honest.

I 've had the last several Glycerin models except the 21. And thought they were the most comfortable shoes ever. These blow them out of the water. I 'm not a runner. I wear these for health issues, fairly severe foot neuropathy from a spinal injury. When i discovered the Glycerin series it gave me enough relief that i could manage to make it thru a whole store again. And even start getting on a treadmill a little bit. Then along comes this new slip on model, they are just what the doctor should 've ordered. I doubled my usual distance on the treadmill and then went and did several stores. I ca n't thank Brooks enough for the new lease on life these shoes will give me! Great work! They are mild to hot weather shoes for sure, opening the doors in the freezer section at the store and you could feel the freezing air right away. Be awesome when it's hot out. I 'm 17 stone and needed shoes that could handle my weight, I googled running shoes for large males and brooks came up, since then I 've always used brooks shoes for my running and walking, I started with trace 2's and walked/speed walked for 11 months on roads and football fields/rugby fields 3 miles a day then when they wore out I graduated to glycerine GTS which is when I started running/jogging again and I continued using them for another year 3 miles a day and also in the gym on the treadmill and on the stairmaster so then I needed to get a new pair so I chose glycerin again which I have to say are the best overall shoes for exercising on all different levels I 'm very happy with the first and second pair of glycerins and continue to wear them for gym work and as a very comfortable shoe for my 12 hour shifts as a care giver. I recently bought a pair of ghost max 2 shoes and I love them but they have much stiffer/harder feel all round and a larger roll forward type sole shape, I 've had to break them then in for the last month as they are much more robust than the glycerins which are straight out of the box run ready! I 'm enjoying the ghost max but be warned that they are so, so different than the trace and glycerin, it's completely changed my running style with the ghost max.... Conclusion.. They are higher and more supportive and stronger all round and slightly heavier too but the finish is top quality, the DNA foam is exceptional quality and comfort the colours are as usual amazing, The tounge padding is good but moves around a lot, the laces are good, the air cooling is great as usual, I 'll always buy brooks as they always make shoes that the customers want and need to exacting standards and for a 17 stone 245 pound heavy built weight training/running fanatic they suit me and my exercise obsessions very well...

Probably the most comfortable pair of sneakers I have ever worn. They took a short time to get used to( an hour or 2) and I absolutely love them. Very cushioned and bouncy, lightweight but supportive of my arch, heel and forefoot. I walk 5- 10 miles a day and foot comfort is extremely important to me. Great job, Nike!

If you ’ re a big, tall guy with foot issues, this is THE shoe for you. I ’ m 6 ’ 4 ” tall, about 250 lbs., with a bit of plantar fasciitis in my right foot, and high arches. I had the Beast 20 shoes before this, and these are the perfect replacement for those. Well- cushioned, great arch support, and very stable to walk/run in. The only criticism I can give is that I ’ d it if the upper reached a little higher on my foot. Having high arches means my foot is taller than usual, so I barely have enough lace- length left to tie them. I can get them tied, but barely, and since the tongue has that elastic strap on one side, it gets pulled toward that a bit.

The Zegama 2 has so far been a great shoe. My search for a shoe like this began when my Pegasus 4 GTX's finally hit the retirement cycle of shoes. The Pegasus 4 GTX's were some of the( if not the top) most comfortable shoes that I had ever had while also being capable of light outdoor activities. My instinct was to replace them with the Pegasus 5 GTX's. After exchanging sizes several times, I finally just return the 5's. They were just too tight, did n't fit right, and created a lot of foot pain. I decided to try the Zegama 2's. I actually had my eye on them during my transition from the Pegasus 4's!. These things remind me of the o'so comfortable Pegasus 4 GTX's. The Zegama 2's offer great bounce, support, and comfort! The grip is incredible too, it simply rocks. I play a lot of disc golf and these things have held true in any condition that I 've been in, wet, dry, muddy, slippery, you name it. Also, running any sort of distance in these feels great. They provide great bounce and support. I have n't ran a particularly long distance in them, maybe around 4 miles so far, which felt great and natural. I would n't second guess doubling that mileage or more. Overall these are great. Do n't think twice, grab a pair!.
