I felt like I was walking on a cloud and they were comfortable even tho I walked over 12, 000 steps a day in them every day. This is my first pair of proper running shoes and I love them so far! Used to run in some old Asics I got on clearance, but now that I ’ m getting into running more consistently I bought these. I have very flat feet and collapsed arches, and these were recommended for me because of their supportive centre path tech. The first 5k i ran in these I got nasty blisters on the insides of the my feet where my arch was being held up. If this is the case for you, don ’ t give up on these shoes yet. I wish I had broken them in more slowly but they are super comfortable now. Ran my first 10K in these shoes, something I never thought I ’ d be able to do after having some pretty nasty shin splints and knee pain from playing soccer my whole life. I totally recommend these to any fellow flat footed runner, especially if you ’ re just starting out. I ’ ve taken them on trails, pavement, track, and they feel fantastic.

I love Merrell Moab ’s, wear them every day and have 5 pair. But as hot as this summer has been, I wanted a pair of lighter weight shoes. I started with Merrell styles, but had no luck getting a good fit for my problem feet—a neuroma and plantar fasciitis on one foot and a bunion on the other. I also tried styles from all the highly rated shoes for walking, including those with gel insoles. They all bothered my neuroma, and the gels were so bouncy they made me feel a little unsteady on my feet. So I went back to Merrell and tried the speed solo, ordered up a half size, and finally found my fit! The shoes seemed narrow at first, but after wearing them a couple of times, they ’ re as comfortable as my Moab ’s.

Another Great Cortez. Everytime since 1972 I have been in a pair of Cortez. Everytime I know they are going to fit exactly the same as the first time I placed my foot into a Nike Cortez; that would be perfectly.
