[ Took this on a two night backpacking trip in the Rockies and the extra space from the gear wings was the envy of everyone in our camp. Definitely got called the Vienna Sausage tent a lot, but if it's functional, who cares what color it is. Makes it easier to spot your camp. Got rained on plenty and this thing stayed dry-- that's probably the most important part. Set up was all color- coded so super easy. Clips in like other backpacking tents. My only gripe is the door. The fly only has a vertical zipper to access the door and the bubble of the D is on the other side. So you really have to reach around to open it and I felt like I was always battling the tent to get in( my partner did not hate this as much as I did). I 'm sure it's not the lightest tent on the market but weight was n't a huge concern on our trip and I really appreciated the extra space to keep our packs inside the tent. The ol Vienna Sausage tent will be continue to be our backpacking go- to. Its flaws can be overlooked for the convenience of extra space.

[ First off, this tent is just beautiful. The colors are as vibrant as they are online. This tent is perfect for car camping and 2 people( especially if you have a dog or a small child). It is a great tent, super easy to set up and tear down. Can stand on its own and comes with a footprint which is an added bonus.

For the price, the Limelight is a solid performer. It's the style and size that the majority of outdoor folks will at some point. It also wo n't break the bank. While ultralight tents shine for the fast packers and the weight conscious, the price for weight savings is a non linear formula. In other words you 'll pay a lot more for a lot less when it comes to shaving ounces. I 've used the lImelight in all its configurations over the years. Mine has been to Mexico, the Andes, and all over the US. It's a good three season performer and works even in the odd snowstorm. It's light enough to travel well and carry( if load is shared between two people).

[ I really like this tent. The shape strikes a good balance of being roomy where you need it without wasting space. You can tell the tent was thoughtfully designed because they got the details right. I especially like the roll top storage bag that is so much better than jamming a wet tent into a bag. Setup was easy and quick- just two poles. Bought this tent a few weeks before heading to Wind River and Cirque of the Towers. Packs small and light, and was easy to set up and had plenty of room for two. Everything needed in a tent to keep my load light without giving up anything. Wish it came with the seams sealed, but I knew that going in and it was n't that difficult or time consuming.

As a long- time admirer of the Bibler I- tent, the Firstlight was a no- brainer for me. Love this tent. To the reviewer that commented on using it on Vancouver Island- yes, the coast will always be a difficult proposition for a single- wall tent; some my least comfortable/most clammy/cold/condensation- riddled nights have been spent up on Forbidden Plateau on the Island- in double- wall tents such as a Trango Assault. For the Rockies though( cold/dry) this tent is just about perfect( it should come factory seam- sealed though!). It ’s useable on the coast, but I just know to lower my expectations somewhat.

Honestly ca n't say I 've had any of the issues other people mentioned. I 've slept in the tent a few times now, including inclement weather. Once in the winter when it hit 17F and recently during during storms with driving rain. The winter I picked up frost on the inside of the fly with the vents open, would vent doors next time. During the down pour the fly wet out but the inside stayed dry. Nothing flapped in the wind or leaked water. The stakes supplied are plenty. I might spring for nicer stakes, but ca n't complain at the price point. Much more room than my Quarter dome. Not sure how you make it easier to set up? Match the colors insert the poles clip the clips- put the peak pole on top of the cross poles stakes in the loops. I 'll be in touch to see if I can get the bike pack poles for it.

I bought this to do some backcountry elk hunting in oregon. I am not planning to get more then 8 miles back so the weight is really not a concern to me even though its really not that heavy. Its definitely bigger then I expected as I have purchased cheaper 2- person tents in the past that your head was smooshed into the wall of the tent. Bottom of the tent is a little thin so I do suggest running a tyvek type ground cover underneath of it if you are running any type of sleeping pad. For the price it will hunt and sleep fantastic!

Took it out for a weekend and was very comfortable. Had some unexpected wind and rain and has absolutely no problems at all. Kept bugs out very well. Only complaint is the netting seems to stop too high up so the ventilation doesn ’ t make its way to the floor very well. Solid purchase either way and I can ’ t wait to use it again.

I wore out one of these. Using it for solo car camping and short back packs to base camps. No heavier than any 4 season tent and quite warm with the high solid nylon walls. Mine was a little compact inside but fine solo. I had a couple who lived in one for a week. He was tall and she was petite. I like the basic stand alone pole system of a dome tent. The fly can be tied to maximize airflow and ventilation. I did buy a Tiger Wall, but I live where I can get `` factory '' deals and I 'll lighten my pack any chance I get, but I was ready to get another one of these and the vestibule!

Was super excited to start building my backpacking gear collection, and this was one of the first things I got from Dick ’s. My first time putting it up, it took about 10 minutes to setup and takedown. Granted, with practice I could go faster. When I crawled inside it did feel rather roomy. I ’ m usually a solo backpacker, but there ’s definitely room for two if you ’ re not bringing your backpacks into the tent. It ’s not the lightest of options, but it gets the job done. I was looking for a new lightweight tent with room. After much research I settled on the Nemo Dagger 2P. The new fly material of the OSMO was of interest. As always, I just dove in and started setting up. The basic tent setup was very quick and intuitive. The fly took me a few minutes, but once I caught on that the hook ups are color codes it was a snap. The new material is interesting. Very light and almost feels like some type of paper. Even though it is thin, I did put some stress on it trying to put the fly on wrong the first time with poles poking it, but not a mark. I also did some tugging and it appears to be tough. I have n't been out in the rain yet so I ran a garden hose on it for about 15 minutes. While I did n't stake it out very well I did n't not any sagging and the water for the most part ran off. Not a great test, but something. It also dried very quickly compared to my old rain fly. Very impressed so far and cant wait to see how if hold ups over the season.

Bought the Dagger 2P with Osmo fabric this spring and due to injuries just used it for the first time, car- camping at the Oregon coast. Set- up took about five minutes single- handed with my left( non- dominant) arm in a sling. Plenty of space inside for two, no issues with condensation even though it's very humid year- round at the coast. The zippers and tie- backs are so easy to operate with one hand, I love that. The Osmo fabric dries quickly. I 'm looking forward to backpacking with this tent!

I like all the features that are included and it is perfect gor backpacking with a friend or partner. Have had this tent for a few months now and have taken it on a handful of backpacking trips. Have n't experienced more extreme weather in it quite yet, but I 'm really pleased with how it's help up so far. I think it's the perfect combo of lightweight, easy to set up, not terribly cramped with two people, good ventilation, and packability. For reference, The two tents I 've used multiple times before are the Copper Spur UL2 and the REI Flash Air 2. The Tiger Wall UL2 beats out both of those when trying to optimize well for weight+ comfort. I also love the Fast Fly Shelter feature. I 've recently set it up a few times at the beach for shelter and shade, but am unsure if the fly fabric protects against UV rays. Would be grateful if y'all could advise me on this. Thanks!

I absolutely love this tent. It meets my comfort needs while being ultralight. The side entries are what sold it for me. I have never enjoyed contorting my way into front single entry tents. I find the double vestibules and doors to be so much more functional and comfortable. My partner and I sleep very comfortably in this tent. I 'm 6' 220lbs and she's 5' 10 '' and 130lbs. We 're not super small folks, especially me lol, and we find it very comfortable.

This tent is what I wanted in a backpacking specific tent. Lightweight, compact, easy to use, and provides enough protection to keep moving the next day. I 've used this tent in many different weather conditions, it's great in warm weather, and kept me going when recently struck by a snowstorm at 11, 000 feet in Colorado( image attached). I do have trouble with the door and fly keepers. They loop and tab fly keeper system feels to be attached too low on the fly body, so that the vestibule door tents to unroll and flop down. Overall this is a great tent that will serve me well in years to come.

Nice backpacking tent. Withstood heavy wind gusts like a champ. If I could change a thing about this tent, then I would prefer that there would be only one zipper around the screen door. The way this is designed currently requires two hands always, which is n't practical. Otherwise, good storage options inside and super light!

Just got my new Tiger Wall and have already used it twice. Did a mountain ridge hike and followed it up with a beach camp out. So far I love the tent- it's super light and compacts well in my compress bag. Really easy to clean and love the double doors for my girlfriend and I. Since I mainly use a 1p wanted the single door. Only downsides so far it would of been nice if it included a gear loft, but one is easily added with installed loops for one. So happy with it so far.

After researching ultralight tension tents I settled on this tent and am super happy with my decision. My last Hornet 1 person I have had for 7 years and it still works great. The new OSMO fabric is awesome and super light. The tent poles are maybe 12 '' long, perfect for bike packing or tucking in the side pocket of your backpack. The inside would be snug for 2 people but totally doable as you each have your own door and vestibules. Awesome small details that have been upgrades since my previous tent. Excited to see where I sleep the next 7 years with this one!

I ’ ve used this tent for a few trips since picking it up late last summer. I have the older version of the 1p Hornet but I really wanted to try the 2p out so I ’ d have a little more room. Unless you ’ re super concerned about a few ounces, the 2p is the way to go even for solo trips. You could squeeze another adult in there with you but using it solo provides just enough extra room to be really comfy. The new rectangular shaped stuff sack and extra joints in the supports really help in packing this thing up as well. I used to lash the poles from my original 1p to the outside of my pack but the new version packs up so small I can fit it inside my pack. I really like having everything in my pack, especially hunting, so that was a really nice surprise when I got the new version. It ’s a great tent and I couldn ’ t recommend it more!

This is not a problem unique to Nemo, where 1 person UL tents are coffins, 2 person tents are great for one person, and the 3 person are good for two people, but have a large footprint. I also get that this is the lightest tent in the lineup, but the inside dimensions of the Dragonfly are n't really any different! So, if you are looking for a comfortable one- person tent and do n't mind an extra few ounces in your pack in exchange for sleeping well, this tent is hard to beat. It's one of the lightest and best- designed semi- freestanding tents I 've ever seen and used. It's awesome. I took it on an overnight with some experienced and fit hikers, and not only did we all get to camp at the same time, but I was set up and relaxing while they were still fiddling with their trekking pole tarps. So I highly recommend this tent to anyone who is not trying to go into what I call `` stupid light '' territory. However, my fleet now consists of the Hornet 1( for keeping up with thru hikers and pitching with a smaller footprint) and a Dragonfly 3 for slackpacking with my spouse. My next hope is that Nemo comes out with a true 2- person UL tent that can fit two 25x78 '' pads without a ton of extra space, something like the Dagger, but comparable in weight to the Hornet 3. Maybe it's in the works!

TLDR: If you 're deciding between the 1P and 2P, just get the 2P. Excellent stealth tent. I got the 2 person version for solo bikepacking and it was a winner. It really does n't take up that much more space than the 1P and it allowed me to keep all my gear inside and dry. Fast forward and I find someone to bikepack with me(!)- we both fit perfectly with room for the essentials at the foot. It's vertically spacious enough that you can sit upright and the front opening if super convenient. There is an upside to the neutral colour of the tent in that it makes it easier to stealth camp. The downside is that we almost got smushed by a truck that did n't see us( in what we thought was a secluded spot). If you 're worried about visibility, I would drape a bright reflective towel or jacket over the tent. Otherwise it's perfect. Also do n't overload the top pocket- for essentials only.

This is my first ultra light tent for bike packing. My girlfriend and I have bought this tent especially for bikepacking trips in quebec. In 2022 I have traveled at least 2000 km with this tent on my bike. I have slept in this tent alone or with my girlfriend 15 times this summer. We are very please with the performance of this product. In the pas years we use to spend a lot of money on airbnd and motels during our bikepacking trip so we are very please with the flexibility and the economy this product has given to us. In fact the tent has paid itself in one summer of use.

Overall, I like the tent. It's lightweight, quick and easy to set up, and equally easy to pack away. I 'm 5' 9 '' and weigh 210. There is plenty of room inside for myself and some gear. Most of the gear stays in the vestibule. The internal pockets are great and help keep things like a headlamp from being lost in the clutter of the tent. Big Agnes needs to address two downsides. The first, which should be easily remedied, is the fly zippers are finicky, especially when the fly is wet. It makes matters worse that both zipper pulls are identical, so I invariably pull the wrong one in the dark when getting up to pee. The second problem, which wo n't be as easy to remedy, is that strong winds flatten the tent, even with all the guylines set and taught. Thankfully, this happened in Florida, so I ditched the fly, and the wind blew through the netting, leaving the tent upright.
