I decided to buy this little lantern for camping and power outages when I realized that I could buy 3 for the price of 1 of the brighter and fuller- featured( and heavier!) lanterns I was considering. Rather than buy a rechargeable model, I decided it was more economical to simply stock up on rechargeable batteries that will power all of my lanterns, headlamps, and pocket flashlights. It can be hung up, placed on a surface without slipping thanks to the rubber base, and even positioned at an angle using the hooks. The moonlight mode is not at all bothersome; it's super dim. The red light is also very pleasant and not at all irritating. It has three LED battery indicators. I appreciate the locking switch to prevent it from turning on during transport, although it's not really necessary because turning it on requires a lot of force — too much for my liking, which is the only negative point I can mention. Another positive aspect is the price. There's nothing else like it at this price.
