However, we played santa with these bad boys 2 nights ago and they worked great. They were very very bright.. it actually hurt to look at the light. Ideally, you wont be looking at the light so that shouldnt matter. I love the option for different light brightness for different tasks. [ My first trip with my new Tungsten 1 Person tent was to Big Bend Ranch State Park last November. Temps ranged from lower 80 ’s during the day to lower 40 ’s at night. The tent weighed almost half what my previous one did. I was really happy about that. It also sets up in only a couple of minutes even when using the rain fly. On warmer nights the Tungsten was perfect without the fly. Great views of a star filled sky that way as well. On the coolest nights I was super comfortable with the fly on to help retain some heat. I was pleasantly surprised to find the air circulation was good enough to almost prevent all condensation from building up inside the fly. I am 6 ’ 2 ” and there was plenty of room for me and my long sleeping bag plus all of the gear that makes me happy to have close at hand. Don ’ t misunderstand though; it is definitely a one person tent. After those 4 nights I would definitely recommend this tent. It has all of the quality you would expect from a premium brand like Marmot. Get one for yourself without fear of disappointment.

I remember Midland radios from back in the hay- day of CB ’s, the 1970s. Always good quality and a good signal. I am a licensed Ham Radio Operator today and I am still impressed by the quality of workmanship and quality of signal. The ER- 310 has many great features but one stands out for me; Other “ emergency crank radios ” can only be charged by solar or crank… both taking a long time. The ER- 310 can also be charged with an included USB cable. This makes re- charging SO MUCH EASIER. I have bought 4 radios now; for myself and other Ham Radio friends. We ’ re very pleased with this radio. It performs exactly as advertised. I hope we never need to use it in a serious emergency, which here in Florida would be a major hurricane, and some occasional tornadoes, but I have confidence in it. A major issue here is power loss for extended periods, which has happened before. I like that it has multiple power options, in addition to plug- in AC. The solar, battery( both Li- ion and double- AA), plus hand crank sources should keep us connected. I also like 2 features I think are quite clever, but potentially important. One is the continuous SOS beacon. We ’ ve had hurricanes where flooding has marooned people onto their roofs, even into trees. This could attract rescue aircraft. Second is the dog whistle. We might not use that locally, but if we tried to evacuate with our car, and subsequently became blocked and stranded, perhaps had to abandon the car, search& rescue teams might find us. That ’s also where its self- contained portability is a plus. My only suggestion might be making the radio water resistant. Since heavy rain& flooding are typical with most of the weather threats we ’ ve faced here.

The Fenix 8 solar has a long battery life. I have n't charged it for 2 weeks and the Fenix has 41% still to go. Nice health monitors like HR and Pulse Ox. I am a Lifeguard and feel better that it is rated for deeper water than just a swim.

I mainly use it for running and cycling and its amazing. While this has all the bells and whistles it is definetley meant for the more serious consumer. UI is kind of weird like in most garmin products but the button interface makes it friendlier than most. Best suited for the committed adventurer and athlete. I bought this a month ago and am delighted w it! It looks cool, the interchangeable watch faces are fun to experiment with, and the amount of data I get is incredible! In GPS mode, it does not need any time to locate the satellites like previous Garmins I ’ ve owned. It took awhile to get the hang of all the buttons, but once I did it ’s no problem. I really appreciate ALL the functions available on this device. The only criticisms are pretty minor:( 1) It does seem to get kind of dim in certain lighting conditions, like the “ auto brightness ” function maybe isn ’ t the best; and( 2) When it displays my sleep patterns the colors used to represent REM sleep and “ awake ” are so similar that it ’s just a little more confusing than it would be otherwise. But I am so glad I bought this watch!

I 've had my Garmin Phoenix 847 mm for about a month and I 've used it everyday. I 'm an avid golfer and it is fantastic for the game of golf also great for tracking daily activity, my daily walks, I absolutely love the tactical and regular flashlight built into the watch which allows me to get up at night and not have to turn on any lights. We recently had a major storm come through the area where power went out and I navigated the entire house and the breaker panels with my watch- very convenient. There's almost not a single use in my life that I do or this watch does n't come in handy. Sometimes it's a little confusing on where things are located and what buttons to push but I keep going back to the YouTube video and that's helpful. Do n't forget in the activities menu you can edit them and change where the appear in the menu so now Golf appears at the top of my activities for me and then other things based upon their use are now in priority order, that is also very helpful. I do n't have enough good things to say about it. If you do n't like the bezel color, I ordered different bezels that go on the top of it that are silver and red, black and white, so now you have multiple bezels you can use as well as multiple faces you can pick from and just transform the watch to look many different ways. Very cool

I love this watch! Admittedly, it has more capabilities than I use, but the features I use are very good. Wearing the watch along with my Oura ring didn ’ t last long and the latter has been relegated to my dresser drawer as the former does everything the Oura does and more… especially in sleep tracking. I ’ m pleased I got the 47mm rather than the 51mm. The display on the AMOLED is great. I did change the watch strap as the orange was pretty obnoxious.
