There is a small disk you have to take out of the flashlight before use. There are several different mode that you can use. There is also a strobe function. The head twists up so you can use it for small spaces or large area areas as seen in my video and pictures. It is 10, 000 lumens so it is super bright! I ’ ve always been a bit of a flashlight guy. As a kid I cost my dad a small fortune in D cells running down his baseball bat sized Maglite. I ’ ve been through more headlamps than I can count over the years. I picked up this particular one a few months ago and I have to say it has been by far the best headlamp I ’ ve ever had. The door fuel capability comes in handy, and the functions on this light are super useful and navigable. It ’s great to having the brightness memory as well as the powertap feature to be able to instantly switch to max and back. One feature that stands out is the way each mode dims/brightens. I haven ’ t seen that on a light before. It also seems a lot brighter than 450 lumens at max. If you ’ re looking for a good reliable headlamp I truly don ’ t think in any way you could go wrong with these. Hope this helps

I ’ m very surprised at some of these bad reviews! I own both the 1500 and 2000 Nebo Davinci flashlights and they are incredible. Best flashlights I have ever owned. I personally prefer the 1500 because of its size. It ’s super small and lightweight and for its size it puts out an insane amount of light with great control and throw. The 2000 is a bit bigger, and even though it does produce more light, the 1500 seems to have the best size to light ratio- so that ’s my recommendation, for what it ’s worth. They are easy to charge( with usb c; hurray!!) and without having to take the battery all the way out. I ’ ve never had any issues with them after getting wet or dropping them, which I ’ ve unfortunately done quite a bit. After many many comparisons, these are the absolute best so far. Hope this helps!

[ This thing SAVED on my last move. Packing my U- Haul took longer than expected, so it went into dark. The fact this thing is magnetic and has spot OR flood is huge. I was able to stick it to the U- Haul and had plenty of light to pack the entire truck for multiple hours on one charge. UI is kind of weird like in most garmin products but the button interface makes it friendlier than most. Best suited for the committed adventurer and athlete. The solar display is less vibrant so watch faces can be a bit dull, the simpler face the better.

If you want a watch that can track any activity and has a battery last for weeks look no further. This watch does it all, with accurate GPS tracking and long battery life it is perfect for my uses. I mainly use it for running and cycling and its amazing. While this has all the bells and whistles it is definetley meant for the more serious consumer. The battery life is great on it, using this watch for all around activities but tracking your runs are great, I love that the screen is pretty much unbreakable and that the bezel doesn ’ t catch too much light causing glare. Very simple to use out the box, and recommended to set it up on the app for a quicker and easier set up. Don ’ t think about buying it. Just buy it. Great Battery Life and Awesome Features! I use this watch daily for running, MTBing and strength training. the watch performs well and the battery last about 3 weeks. I really like the suggested workouts which keep me on track. this feature is great wether you are just getting started or seasoned runner/cyclist. if you are interested in tracking your fitness progress this is a great option and I would highly recommend.

Upgraded from my Fenix 7 to get the full color display. Much more vibrant and readable, with excellent battery life( about 3 weeks with moderate GPS use). As with prior models, it is a bit of a chore to get the menus, display fields, and the watch face customized to your liking, but after that, it just works, with excellent functionality. Main hesitation in recommending it is just the price. Unless you use the microphone/speaker functions( which I do only occasionally) the main upgrade from recent models is the display and battery life.

While a Garmin is still not as “ smart ” as an Apple Watch, the fenix 8 amoled is starting to play in the same ball park. I ’ ve been very happy to return to Garmin for the sport functions after several years with Apple Watch and AWU. The battery life is still unmatched.

I bought the Fenix 8 after a couple of less- than- optimal experiences with competitor products. After several months with the watch, I am convinced that there is not a more thoughtfully designed sports watch on the market. Everything on this watch just works, and Garmin has thought of everything. Even small details like the watch automatically ejecting water from the speaker after a watersports activity speak to the level of detail that Garmin focused on when designing this watch. The software is fast and fluid, the screen is brilliant, and the health and exercise data collected is precise and presented in a useful and palatable format. The only thing that I feel could use some improvement with the watch is that when I take a phone call from the watch, there is evidently a lot of microphone feedback, as in people talking to me through my watch hear a significant echo of everything they say. Overall, an excellent watch that I feel is well worth the higher price tag.

The battery life is amazing and the GPS capabilities are unmatched. The AMOLED face is super bright even in the direct sunlight.
