The nylon is thick, abrasion resistant, super bomber, and I feel comfortable taking a lead fall on them. The nylon used gives stretches a little, putting more dynamic parts into the climbing equation and giving you a( very) slightly softer fall. Since the slings are wider than usual, I use sport quick draw carabiners so that the sling lays flat in the end of the carabiner. These slings are excellent at giving you a sense of comfort while taking lead falls on them.
