I bought this basically the second I found out it existed. I ’ ve been looking for a portable shade option since forever, but I didn ’ t want an entire tent production and umbrellas weren ’ t cutting it anymore. I wanted something that moved with me, or the direction of the sun, quickly- no bulk, one- person setup. I knew there had to be something better than the just tents or umbrellas. In walks the Shibumi Park Vista... and it was love at first sight. I ’ m 5 ” tall and even I can set this up, by myself, in about 2 minutes. The design is so clever! You can tell that Shibumi thought through the details and practical application. It ’s very lightweight and has a small footprint when you ’ re packing. I can toss it in the back of the car, carry it to our destination, and have shade almost anywhere, without looking like a clumsy fool trying to set something up that isn ’ t worth the work. This is easy peasy and the shade payoff is huge! I would love to see the option to purchase a base for attaching to stadium seating. That would be an absolute God send for track meets.

It was easy to set up, although it was easier with four people than two, just for trying to keep the legs going up evenly. It was steady and we did not use the stakes because it was sitting on concrete, but it also was not windy. The canopy seems durable and the legs strong. I love the color selection and was able to get our school color green, I would like to get one to have at home.

I bought this to replace an old pop- up which had bowed, bent and broke at the middle brace points. I bought this one specifically for the reinforced braces in the middle and it did n't bow in once even during a rain storm in the mountain of Southern CO. The vented top was perfect for the wind, which was n't super strong, but was moving the top quite a bit! Really liked the idea of closing and opening these vents. Even had one side closed& the other open during the rain so it would n't come in us while we were cooking! Also bought this because of parts replacements, even thought I have n't needed it, very nice to know that it's available! The issue we had when putting it up, was a screw in the inside leg at the bottom was n't put in straight and it was catching the outer leg from extending. In step 3 of the instructions, Figure D was impossible to do! Had to have 2 people work at this to get it to click!

This canopy is the best one I 've owned. It is a very sturdy with heavy gauge hardware including double sown seams on the canvas. I used it twice at windy football games and never hinted of sailing off. The E- Z Up 10'x10' is defiantly a two person setup and take down. Surprisingly, it is easy to remove/insert from the wheeled carrying envelope. It's 57lbs heavy.

I have had many canopy's in the past and everyone of them has lasted a year or two until breaking. This costs a little more but is very much worth the price. The cover is thick grade canvas that will not tear. The legs are strong and long enough so I do n't hit my head every time I walk under the tent( I 'm 6' 2 ''). the bag and wheels may be the best feature of all. The wheels are wide enough so the bag with the tent wo n't tip over while pulling it and it is made of the same strong canvas as the top of the canopy.

The mechanism to open and close this canopy is genius. It takes a minute to get the hang of it, but can absolutely be fully opened with legs extended in a minute, by yourself. More importantly, you can close it yourself( also very easily) in just seconds, and without needing to recruit three other people to help you like other canopies. This canopy is far better quality than any of the typical canopies you see at tailgates or soccer tournaments. It's heavier than other canopies, but it comes with a great quality bag with wheels which makes it easy to move. The straight- leg design means that you have a full 10 x 10 covered area as many other brands have angled legs which make the space under the canopy smaller than 10x10. This one feels much bigger than a typical canopy. I will be showing this off and recommending to all of my tailgate friends and fellow lacrosse parents. I got the grey color which is simple and neutral.

This canopy is incredible. We use it for youth baseball tournaments and everyone that sees it thinks it's awesome. It is absolutely the easiest canopy I 've seen to put up and take down. It is of better quality than any others also. Only thing that you will need to get used to is that is much heavier than others you may have used in the past, but that is due in large part to the quality. It would have benefited also from having tie points for the anchor system to tie it down but it is manageable. Be careful also not to drop it on the wheels when unloading as the pins that hold the wheels will bend due to the weight.

Hats off to the engineers at GCI.... The old days of 2 or four people pulling each corner of a canopy outwards are over. This canopy makes it crazy simple for one person to quickly set up a canopy without needing any support from others. Be ready to have onlookers impressed with your new rig. In the first week of owning this canopy, I was able to use it camping with my family and also at a Lacrosse Tournament. While we were setting up our tent, a quick thunderstorm was passing through. We quickly set this up over our tent to prevent rain from getting in the tent.( we did n't trust the rain fly on our tent). We also used this canopy as a sun shelter while camping. At the lacrosse tournament, this canopy stood out among the others with its stylish branding and blue color. The lax team and families were able to quickly find our home base under the canopy. This was our location for gear, drinks, snacks, and resting between games. The biggest challenge with this canopy is the expectation that it operates like canopies from the past. Knowledge and experience with past canopies and their design may impede upon learning a new technology and design. People will find that the Initial set up is very different. GCI created clever instructions and a great video to learn the new method. I 'm not someone to read directions so the video was useful for me. Once you 've learned the set up method... subsequent set ups are like riding a bike. Bonus features of this canopy are- Solid carrying case with wheels, handles, pocket for stakes and big opening for sliding the canopy in and out.- Robust sturdy framing- Double layer padded friction spots to prevent any tearing- Flick down legs for quick assembly- Stylish and robust canopy fabric- Air vents at the top to allow wind and air movement areas that could use improvement...- bigger wheels on bag would help with rough terrain but current wheels do alright- maybe a longer velcro pull strap on the canopy to wrap around the corner of the tent frame to get more adherence to velcro.- Would love it if there was an optional mosquito screen accessory All in all, I 'm loving this canopy... its a game- changer! Best beach shade
We were vacationing in a spot where you are only allowed to have a shade structure with a monopole in the middle and this was perfect. It was so much cheaper than the other monopole that ’s more well known. It was easy to put up and in fact, I like it more than our neso grande shade tent which cost four times as much when we purchased at five years ago. Bought this Neso Grande Beach shade to spend time with my grandson and family at Atlantic beach. We travel by plane to visit and the tent was easy to put in a suitcase( lightweight and small). The tent was easy to set up. The first day was really windy and we did have to add extra sand to the bags so that the tent sides would stay up. The next day was not as windy and tent stayed up wonderfully. I am considering getting the extra two poles, however they are not necessary for the tent to work well. The fabric is strong and the sand fell off easily for packing. We had five people under the tent so I would not reccommend any smaller of a tent for this many individuals. I love the color that I purchased.

We had to make an unplanned purchase when our very expensive canopy was ruined in a pop up storm. This one is so much lighter and easier to set up! We used it for the rest of our beach week and it was great as long as it was n't extremely windy. Time will tell on how it holds up, but it was a great purchase for us.

I bought the grande online from Dicks sporting goods, picked up at the South Portland store, same day. Set up was simple, stretched it out in an X pattern, flipped the cord under the sand bags and filled with sand. Poked the poles under the front corners, adjusted the bags a little bit by stretching out, then dug a small pit and buried them. I 've been doing this for three days in the coastal winds and it's been getting more efficient each time. Zero issues, stays put for hours with shifting winds when set up properly. Take down is just as simple. Storage bag is compact. 5+ stars, I 'd buy it again without a doubt and have not received anything for this review.

I 'm really liking this compact backpack canopy, especially after buying a different one from a different store originally. They were the same size, style and price, but the first one I bought had mesh panels around the frame, including between the top and wall, leaving a gap of coverage and they would catch in the velcro. After returning that one, I picked up this Quest canopy and was much more satisfied with the sturdiness of the frame and thicker fabric in one solid piece- no mesh! While it's true this canopy does n't stand as tall as a standard 10x10, it's comfortable for sitting under in chairs and the compact size when storing and transporting is worth the trade off for us. It's easy enough to bring and set up by myself for the kids' swim practices, while a 10x10 would be too much hassle. I have been very popular at practices when I bring this canopy. We used this at our first swim meet and set up two chairs and a blanket and it worked for us. I could lift and rotate the whole canopy as needed to adjust the orientation of the canopy wall as the day went on. Almost everyone else had a 10x10, but they also involved wagons and lots of hauling gear around. We were happy with our relatively light load and the minimal space needed for storage at home.

I bought a canopy last week and went to set it up. A gust of wind came before I was able to put the stakes in. I caught it and when it hit the ground two legs got damaged. I called to see what I could do about getting replacement legs. Kurt asked me my name, address and told me they would send out two replacement legs. This was a Thursday and I received the legs on Monday. I left the canopy up because it was damaged were it is lowered. So far GREAT product and superb customer service.

There's adequate interior space to accommodate a comfy( appropriately scaled) camp style chair, mini size cooler, and large tote bag/ backpack. The two side windows, front door, and small flap in the back can be unzipped according to preference and comfort needs. Unlike other weather pods, the front door unzips from the top down rather than the reverse which is much more suitable for control of visibility and comfort. The pod comes with stakes for added stability during increment and/or windy weather. I also like that it comes with a carrying case. The pod is quite easy to open and close once you practice a few times and become more familiar with the process. However, I found it very helpful to first view the video on the manufacturer's website. I highly recommend this amazing pop up pod for protection and comfort on cooler, windy, and/or rainy days. It's also nice when you prefer your own space and would rather not converse with others. It's definitely been an eye- catcher too and I 'm frequently asked about where to purchase this Perfect Pod!

I put the 12'x12' sail up on mounts that were about 16'x16'. I used heavy duty bungie straps, instead of the mounting hardware that came with the sail, to see how it would look. Turns out the bungie straps worked real well and pulled the sail real tight. I think I may leave it that way. I am really very happy with this product.
