The gloves are amazing balancing the durability of leather and the performance of gortex. The gloves can be a little stiff but after a day of use they feel start to feel like a second skin. The details are really what makes this glove so great. The pull loop combined with the velcro cuff is a amazing mix that lets you put both gloves on in a matter of seconds. The gloves are plenty warm for just about anything, I 've used them down to below zero with wind chill with just a liner and my hands were as toasty as ever. I 've yet to have a issue with the palm leather wetting out. The only issue I 've had is that velco on the cuff can cause the material around it to fuzz up a little bit but it's barley notice able and is only a visual problem. Overall I 'd recommend these gloves for anyone who is looking for a great ski glove for the slopes, and beyond.

While I initially thought these gloves were too small( based on the sizing model), after I broke them in they fit really well. Overall, I really like these gloves. I find my hands get colder now in the winter than they did before. I like that these gloves are water and windproof, and some insulation for warmth. I also really like the fact that they have leather to increase their ruggedness.

Sometimes you want a lighter, thinner glove that makes it easier to manipulate things in your pack, pull skins, dig pits, etc. Other days you want a glove that keeps you warm and dry when it ’s dumping and windy on the chairlift. These are those gloves. The inner liner can be pulled out to dry faster, and the long gauntlet shell keeps rain and snow where it ’s supposed to be. I supplemented the included Nikwax for better coverage and seam sealing. So far these are my favorite in- bounds gloves in years, better than the Hestras and Kincos I have used in the past.

These gloves were used on an expedition cruise to Antarctica where I did zodiac rides and hiking. They kept my hands warm in sub- freezing temps, no issue! They are bulky so you loose some dexterity, but that ’s just how it ’s going to be with these gloves. It was nice to be able to remove the GorTex outer and use the inner glove on more temperate days. Would recommend to anyone who needs a solid cold weather glove.

I got several pair of these gloves for snowboarding/skiing. They are very warm with they liners. We have only used them on days were the temps were in the 20's and we did n't need the liners. They are dry and I love the features such as the tethers and cuff cinch. They are bulky with the liners and tend to run a bit large. My 16 year old son wears the small and I can fit the medium. Overall they are a fantastic glove at a very good price.

Used these gloves for 1 day between 14 and 28 deg F with windgusts and snow machines on making icy and windy conditions for a much lower feels like temp. First off, the GoreTex in these gloves holds up to its reputation, the ice/snow from the snow machines stuck to everything and ev eventually would melt but my gloves on the inside didnt feel wet at all even once. Wore these without the liner and they are comfortable, but not that warm. My hands were cold but not super uncomfortably cold by lunch without the liner in. Put the liner in after going back out and it made a world of difference. My hands stayed warm the rest of the day even after the sun went down and temperature dropped significantly. After a full day of use on the slopes carrying ski poles most of the time, there is no sign of any use on these gloves and i am hopeful they keep holding up for me. They were fairly expensive at full price, but seem to be worth it so far.

These gloves have completely changed her skiing experience and keeps her going for a lot longer! She rarely goes above the lowest setting, except for when on a cold chair lift. Really impressed with these. We ski 70+ days per season and so far she has used them every single day. Battery life is pretty good! There seems to be better out there for battery life, but get a spare and always have them charged and you 're set!

This is my third pair of heated gloves, and by far the best. I think mainly because they are mittens, with no finger separations. So the whole space gets heated. Because our family has poor circulation and gets very cold hands, these heated mitts have become essential for squeezing maximum value out of each of our precious snowboarding days. We can now stay out until we actually get tired rather than being forced to take a break due to being too cold. We purchased one pair in early 2023, one in late 2023, and one in 2024. Although the high price tag will necessitate years for us to fully outfit our large family, the incredible effectiveness of these mitts have prompted a goal to have ten pairs within the next several years. We 've had good experience with the batteries thus far; lasting most of a typical day of snowboarding. Planning to purchase some back- up batteries to have on deck for extended days. For the latest pair we chose the oyster color, which looks WHITE on the webpage, but it is not white-- it's closer to SAND. Since we were hoping for white to go with a girl's purple jacket, the sand color is a disappointment, but fine. Function is the most important thing here. SIze note. We all wear wrist guards underneath our mitts, and the size XL has been compatible with that protection system. Even our youngest family members( age 10) can use the size XL over their wrist guards and it works well.

I have Reynaud ’s and can never keep my hands warm. These mittens aren ’ t perfect, I still get cold fingers, but they are the best I ’ ve had in a very long time. The inner mittens are great on their own. I use them primarily for running, but they would be great for skiing and other winter activities. I liked them so much I bought a second pair. They ’ re big and a bit bulky, but they ’ re warm, well made. I have been wearing the inner mittens in warmer temps using trekking poles. I haven ’ t used them enough to know how well they will stand up to this use.

The mittens performed well above what I had expected. they are 100% wind proof and never let any moisture in. The most extreme weather I used them in was snowshoeing in- 25- 28 °F with a good 10- 15 mph wind. The mittens were so warm that at times I had to remove them so my hands could cool off. The recommended sizing for me was a M. I went up a size and they were snug, but very comfortable. The quality of these gloves are outstanding. I 've already recommended them to a few friends and family.

The Patrol gloves feel like a toned down version of the Guide gloves that I 've used extensively. The biggest difference is the shorter gauntlet and the insulation only covering the palm, where the insulated inner runs down over the wrist into the gauntlet on the Guides. Because of those differences the mobility is a bit better with the Patrol, they 're a less bulky/more packable and are n't quite as warm as the Guides.

I have owned these mittens through two seasons now. Through that time they have held up very well through trees, being dragged on the ground, and carrying around sharp edges of a snowboard. I waited on making a review to see how they held up over time after being completely soaked and dried numerous times, and evaluate the wear on the palm. Both have impressed, but not as much as their warming capability. The thing that will separate these from other mittens is their ability to warm while wet. They are not as waterproof as some other gloves as this price point, but they are the warmest mittens I have ever used and they retain that warming ability even when the inside is saturated. My suggestion would be an alternative to velcro for the wrist cuff as snow gets caught on it very easily, making it difficult to use( draw string?). These gloves have been used between temps of 15- 45 degrees F on the west and east coast in clear and stormy conditions. Picture displays palm wear after 1. 5 seasons of heavy use.

Great activewear. These are comfortably thin and breathable for active sports, e. g., ascent on splitboard, but still warm and protective in below freezing conditions. The reinforcements are well- placed for trekking pole straps. Reflective accents add visibility in low light.

The gloves do a great job lightly insulating, they are n't waterproof but still do a decent job keeping your hands dry. I 've hiked with them, they make good driving mitts too. They are pretty windproof too which makes them the most useful in colder windy weather. My only complaint is if you 're wearing a watch or some other form of wrist accessory, the wrist parts of the glove do n't do a great job accommodating for that. Other than that, great mitts.

I still love these gloves and will continue to use them. HOWEVER, I did gain some more experience with them. Doing astrophotography in Arches in 21 degree weather taught me that I 'll need to add another layer and use hand warmers with these. They were fine while the blood was pumping, but when it came to waiting around, my fingers got numb. They would be perfectly fine for anything above 32 degrees. The pull tabs and large openings made it easy to get my hands in and out quickly. Adjusts at the wrist and opening for a tighter fit.

[ The fit is a bit small, depending on what you plan on doing with them. I bought these in a women's small. I have small hands; my palm circumference is an even 7 '' and the length of my hand is just less than 7 ''. I 've never previously found a women's small to be at all tight, in fact, sometimes I have to order extra smalls, but these gloves are just a tad bit on the small side. They fit perfectly when my hand is curled, as if you 're holding onto your ski poles or something else, but when I try to stretch my hand as open as possible, it feels just a bit tight in the length. So if you plan on standing around with your hand opened wide and pressed down flat, you should size up. The other issue is the gauntlet sleeve is a little tight/small in circumference-- it's just a bit hard to pull on over a parka sleeve, especiallly if one glove is already on. Also, if you want really fine dexterity, these are too thick for that. I found that while the touchscreen fingers do work fine on my phone and tablet, the difficulty comes in in accuracy, due to the thickness of the gloves. I also found it a little difficult to use a sensitive two button mouse without accidental clicks. However, those things aside, the gloves are very comfy/cozy. The inside lining is soft and I have n't yet noticed sweaty palms. They kept me warm and dry working outside in cold and rainy weather, which is what I bought them for. I would have preferred if the palms had been reinforced with another layer of leather, but so far they seem to be holding up to chopping and stacking wood and other miscellaneous odd jobs around a cabin in the woods when it's cold and rainy. I would imagine these would be good for snowsports as well as winter motorcycling, but again, if you 're looking for really fine touchscreen dexterity, I 'd find a thinner glove that maybe is n't as warm/thick.

Marketed as lightweight ski mountaineering gloves, these are also a good choice for trail running in cold weather or surprise snow storms on a summer background trip. They are comfy in the 30 ’s especially with the wind hood. They breathe fairly well into the low 40 ’s without the wind hood, even on the skin track. They are not that warm below freezing, at least for long periods of time and/or the hardiest folks. They do not have any touch screen capability and the lack of wrist leash makes it a touch easier to lose them as my only minor gripes. However reasonable trade off for the weight. I also own a pair of the lightweight soft shell gloves from BD. The material is a bit thicker and the wrists are longer. Also the palms on these are sturdier. Similar dexterity. Overall though, really enjoy them. For true winter conditions I would recommend a true winter set of gloves as well though.

We love this glove so much. We use it for everything. When we bought we bought for an avy two day course in SLC. We wore the glove the whole time in January class because it was perfect for skinning and adding the puffy over when it got cold- was a good balance. Only suggestion to BD is to add a second nose wipe area to the 2nd finger. Wiping your nose with medial thenar causes one to lift the whole shoulder upward.:)

the most out of all the BD gloves i tried but i went with the impulse gloves bc they seem like they are rated for colder weather( although annoyingly BD has 2 different temperature ratings at different parts of the web page for both the impulse and legend gloves.( come on guys!:)) one area of Legend's page shows them rated 0- 15F and another area says 0- 30F. one area of Impulse page says 0- 15 then another area say- 5- 25F. they also show the Impulse gloves having different weights 266. 3g and then 280g lol. i went with impulse gloves bc they are thicker and therefore have to be rated for colder weather im guessing.( also the permaloft rating is better in the Impulse.) my hands are 8. 6 inches long and 9. 2 inches circumference. i went with large evethough i am bt L and XL. my fingers are long but palms are not girthy and i also figure these wil stretch out a lot being they are leather

I recently used these gloves on two different 11- 12 hour hikes in chilly conditions. Temps were minus 12 F with wind chill at minus 20 to minus 30 F. These kept my hands warm from start to finish. These thing are sweet. On my second pair and if I had not burnt holes in them from being to close to buddy heater I would still be on my first pair. Dexterity for grabbing screws and sinking them to attaching draws and clipping they allow you to feel through every move. They do not puff up and create over gripping pressure combine with the pre- curve fingers man the best gloves. Have had them in 0° and had not had to switch gloves between leading and at belay. Waterproof, grippy leather and even a a spot to wipe your nose. A must have in your kit. I have camp geckos as well and came back to these killer. They will keep you saying I 'll Be Back.

[ I bought these gloves at the height of winter and I have not looked back. They are extremely warm and keep your hands dry in every condition. They especially shined when it came to winter sports because any contact with the snow would previously give me wet, cold hands. There is no such thing with these with the combination of GoreTex and with the cuffs going up so high on my arm and being adjustable, wet hands and arms are a thing of the past. There are a number of handy features as well with finger holds on the outside of ring fingers make the gloves easy to remove even while gloved. The retention cuffs do their job well. I would recommend these for someone looking for a nice pair of gloves that wants to keep their hands warm and dry. They outperform everything else at their price point.

The gloves are warm and comfortable thus far, although they ’ ve not been put through any extreme days yet. Over the cuff three finger gloves are a rarity, so I ’ m glad to see more of them, as that ’s my preferred style. These get bonus points for having a “ nose wipe ”, as that ’s something I ’ ve found myself really missing on gloves that don ’ t have them. My only complaint is that the gloves seem to run very large compared to the size charts( of which there are multiple, depending on where you look, and they conflict with each other). I bought a size small pair for my sister as a Christmas gift, and they are large enough that I could wear them with only very slight discomfort, despite the fact that I generally wear a size 9( or Men ’s Large) glove. If you can try them on in person or can exchange them for a different size, I ’ d have no issues recommending them. If you ’ re ordering online and won ’ t be able to exchange them, either because of vendor policies or time constraints, I ’ d consider other options if you have them.

Absolutely love these gloves for mahy reasons. Firstly, the glove has an amazing fit. While it is easy to get on with the straps to help it is a snug fit that allows me to manouever very well with them. Additionally, the gloves are not so big and padded that I ca n't do much with my hands, however, they still keep my hands warm. My only complaint would be that it is really difficult to use my phone despite the fingertip specifically meant for using the phone. Would highly recommend these gloves.

These gloves are a pair of the best gloves I 've worn, and I 've gone through a lot of gloves over the years. What stood out to me are two things; warmth and dryness. While hiking or training with search and rescue( volunteer) I often have my gloves on and off for tasks as well as taking pictures during hikes, what strikes me with these is that they feel dry and warm every time I put them back on after the task or picture!

Gloves work great. I use them for shoveling snow, driving, and riding the Fat Bike. The Temps are around 20 degrees to 30 degrees. Stay nice and warm. When it's in the minus temps, I 'd go for something warmer. I 'd get another pair.

I 've used these gloves for back country ski touring and cold weather biking. They are a nice mid- weight glove. The leather is nice but as I am not using them for `` driving ''( which is how they were marketed) I will be interested to see how long the supple leather holds up. Comfortable and warm.

I used the Revel Shell Mitts to climb multiple mountains. They allow for a much easier mitt change during intense ascents while also providing the option to keep a mitten or glove underneath. During my winter exercises as part of my military duties, they allowed me to manipulate my weapon quickly without freezing my hands, especially when combined with a pair of Vigor Lightweight or Medium Sensor gloves. The combination of these two gloves is just perfect from- 10 to- 20 degrees.

These are the cats meow. I put a thin pair of the merino wool mitts on the inside and wow. Perfect pairing. Even on their own they rock. Must have for anyone one who plays outside in the spring or anytime really.

Very pleased with these gloves!! I had read a review previously that he used them on fire assignments and was hooked, bought them a few weeks ago and took them out to OR on a fire and they did great! But BONUS I 've also put them to the test at tree climbing this week and they 've done really well! Only gripe is that they 've stretched a little bit, to where the extra space in the fingers gets stuck in carabiners from time to time. Easy to mitigate though, and the leather holds up super well to fire, ash, dirt, sap, ropes, and all:) plus do love that extra loop on the fingers to hang them in a way on my hip that keeps misc dirt from falling in.

These are my new favorite belay gloves! I take them up on the wall when I 'm doing multipitch climbs and also to the sport crag. They are versatile and generally awesome! I did get some holes in them after some usage, so be aware the durability is an issue, but I really have n't found a glove that's both dextrous and durable. Belay gloves put up with some serious abuse, so I 'm not really sure what's reasonable to expect.

Only been using for a short time so durability is unknown but so far they ’ re excellent. Keep my hands warm and super dry all day. The strap to tighten the cuff keeps snow out and the glove fitting tight. Also has wrist straps so you don ’ t drop them off the lift.
