The rental skates at our local ice skating rink left a lot to be desired. They were uncomfortable and the laces were shredded to tatters and nearly impossible to tie properly without destroying the few remaining threads. So, we decided to buy our 7 year old daughter these skates for her Learn to Skate lessons. These have been working out great! They are very comfortable( nice padding around ankle) and work well. We got them sharpened prior to first use at the rink ’s pro shop, of course. I ’ m not saying it ’s all due to the skates, but my daughter is one of the best skaters in her class! We are very happy with this purchase and will buy again when she outgrows this size. For reference, she wears a size 1 sneaker and we bought the size 2 skates which give her a little wiggle room to grow into( we ’ re using thick socks in the meanwhile).

I was tired of my stiff- boot ice skates and finally decided to find a comfortable pair of skates, and these absolutely fit the bill! They are padded in the entire boot and are very comfortable. I wear a wome n't size 11 shoe and these fit true to size for me. I 'll admit I 'm a little nervous about the laces being in strap- type material rather than through metal, but I 'm hoping that wo n't be a problem. I l think they are a great value for the price-- and they also look great.

I ordered these skates online mainly because I liked the looks of them and crossed my fingers that they would fit and be comfortable. They fit and they were very comfortable! However the lace up closer system left me skeptical. I was afraid to tighten them too much and have a loop pull out. I reluctantly returned them and will definitely be looking for another pair of Roces skates to purchase with a traditional lace up system because they have the padded comfort that I am looking for.

My daughter got these skates two seasons ago. We only go skating a few times each year, but they still look brand new. They do not come sharpened, so we had them sharpened at a local ice rink this year. They are flat inside so if you have high arches or foot issues you may want inserts for them. Overall these are very sturdy and they look nice. We are happy with the quality.

I did take them to be sharpened after I received them also requested heat molding to break them in faster. My daughter loves her skates! She skates very well in them. And Dicks sells them at a great price with coupons! My initial order was too big. I called and Dicks exchanged them easily for me.
