I own a lot of high end rods, and these Duckett rods are great. I am not sure what the other guy did to break one, but I have hooked some HUGE fish and had zero problems. Alot of complaints about the eyes not holding up but I have n't had any issues yet. It's rated a little soft and found the medium closer to a med light, so I returned it and got a med heavy 7'... much better. Have n't used it that long, but so far so good. I personally like the carbon fiber reel butt a lot, which is very nice looking and adds to the lightness of the rod. Nice lightweight rod especially paired up with my JDM Metanium.
