I bought this a a month ago prior to travelling from UK to Canada and the USA. Used for work/ gym/ commute( on the days I need a bigger bag), train/ carryon air travel and day hikes. I can ’ t really fault it, you can use all the space available very easily, there ’s enough rigidity in the back to hold its shape even when not full and straps and handles seem sufficiently sturdy and comfortable. Some might prefer more pockets and compartments but I prefer the openness and flexibility between the quick access pocket at the top and the main compartment that butterflies open. You can be more strategic how you use that so long you remember what you need is on what side and only open that part. Drinks holder seems very sturdy, never drops. This replaces a Arc ’ Teryx Mantis that broke and is recommend this one for sure, and feels better made!

I have been very happy with this pack. I had previously been using a 45L travel backpack and it was just too big. This 30L bag is the perfect size. The material is well made and I especially love the way it can fit packing cubes. I also like the way the main compartment is accessed via a zipper that allows it to fully open when lying flat.

I took this bag on a 10- day trip to Italy, and it exceeded all my expectations. With an average of 25- 30k steps each day, the bag remained incredibly comfortable throughout. One day, I carried two bottles of wine and a quilt around Capri with ease; on another, I transported five bottles of wine from Ischia to Sorrento without a hitch. The clam shell design was a game- changer — when I nearly got pickpocketed in Rome, the thief couldn ’ t get into the bag, thanks to how I secured the zippers. Initially, I was concerned the bag might be too big, but when it came time to pack souvenirs and wine, the extra space was a lifesaver. I even used it as my carry- on in the airport, and it held everything I needed with room to spare. This bag was, without a doubt, the best travel companion I could have asked for.

I bought the 30L travel backpack in February of 2024, along with some small and medium packing cubes from Peak Design. I 've been on two trips using this bag and the cubes, one for a 3 day business trip and another for a three week trip through Chili, Uruguay and Argentina. This has turned out to be a nearly perfect pack for me. On both trips I filled it with one medium cube containing pants, a small cube with shirts, and another cube with underwear. My 15 '' laptop also fit in nicely along with various toiletries and smaller items. I found it to be very comfortable on my back and easy to adjust. It has a nice, clean, unpretentious look to it. I also have a Pakt2 and an Aer Travel Pack 3. Although both are a little larger than the Peak Design, I found that the Peak Design turned out to be the most practical to pack and access among the three packs. I am very satisfied with this pack and the cubes. They make for a great packing system.

It also fits a pair of flip flops. The main compartment fits his shoulder pads, elbow pads, and gloves, and has some extra room for his jersey, small towel, and clean shirt. [ When they say not all things are created equally, they are referring to this backpack. I use it to replace my work bag and boy was it a great choice. I can fit my laptop, cables, mouse, and all my documents in. The compartments and the side zipper allow for easy access. The draw string feature is great as many zippers tend to wear out and I like that you can losen/tighten to your own comfort level. The handle on the top of the back pack is really different from others and is easy on the hands when grabbing. The materials don ’ t feel cheap and they are easy to clean. I like the water bootle compartment as well as the slot to add it to a carry on luggage for easier transportation when traveling. I can see this being used in a variety of ways. I can see myself using it to travel as well. The subtle brand in the front is nice and gives it that high end look. The straps feel really well on the shoulders and the padding is great. I have an overpacking problem but all of the different compartments and pockets made it so I could fit everything I needed. The support on the backside of it helps so much with my back pain and doesn ’ t make me feel exhausted at the end of a busy travel day. Furthermore, the top bit comes off as a smaller backpack which was perfect for day trips. The only thing i would change would be the smaller buckles that attach the front pocket to the bag, they were a little weak. The middle zipper opening is an amazing feature that allows you to get into your items without having to pull everything out from the top like a conventional pack. One downside are the hip straps. I feel they could be slightly larger for the size of pack, I had some discomfort but nothing terribly bad, likely had more to do with me being out of shape as well. I went backpacking in Linville Gorge, NC for three days, and honestly, my best choice was the 65L backpack. It fit what I needed and had plenty of room to spare. The support to keep my back from sweating, the elastic exterior pockets, and the included small daypack are my favorite details. I am a 35 years old nomad, and I 've been a nomad since my childhood( thank you, mom and dad!). So you can imagine that I ’ ve gone through my fair share of travel gear. But five years ago, I made the switch to this backpack, and let me tell you: it changed the game!! This isn ’ t just a bag; it ’s my life in carry- on form. We ’ re talking everything: clothes, two laptops, cameras, wires, other electronics, toiletries, you name it... I even managed to attach a tripod and camping tent on the front face for a while.( Who even designs something that versatile? Genius!!!) I am not the most careful person with my belongings, so backpack has seen it all. I ’ ve flown on airlines across every continent, and not once did it get issues using it as a carry- on. Okay, there was that one tiny plane where it wouldn ’ t fit in the overhead bin. But I found an easy solution: I pulled out my laptops, slid this backpack under the seat, and we were good to go.( Sure, the flight was cramped, but blame the plane, not the backpack 😂) It ’s not just about the space, though. This bag is comfy to carry for hours, perfectly balanced, with multiple carrying options and a sternum strap that ’s somehow both lightweight and super durable. And yes, it ’s heavier than my previous bags. But I ca n't complain, because it ’s built to last. Five years of travel( and trust me, my trips are not gentle), and it still looks like I just bought it. No scratches, no tears, not much wear( you can see it in the pic, although the backpack was super dirty on one of those pics lol). And I loooove the water resistance. This thing has survived downpours that left me drenched while my gear stayed dry. Mind you, I have my stuff inside plastic bags inside my backpack, just in case. But the last few times, nothing inside got wet anyway. I haven ’ t tested it recently, and I know that the water resistance may decrease over the years... but from my past experiences, it ’s never let me down.( I ’ ll update this review if that ever changes) If you ’ re on the fence because of the price, but you are looking for something to use for years, let me save you some time: just get it. After five years, I can ’ t imagine using another backpack. It ’s my ultimate travel companion, and if ever it breaks, I would buy another one for sure. I hope this helps someone!!!

I absolutely love this backpack in almost every way. It offers so many smart solutions for organizing, packing, and commuting. There are plenty of videos on YouTube showcasing how well it ’s built, and all of that is absolutely true. The material feels incredible, and while placing a tripod in the side pockets does stretch it a bit, I ’ ve never felt like the material would give way. It ’s by far the best backpack I ’ ve ever owned. That said, it ’s a bit small for me, as the waist belt sits a little too high for someone like me — a 1. 90m tall guy with broad shoulders.

Perhaps the best backpack Nike has never made. Within a span of 4 years I ’ ve collected two with a third on the way. Well engineered and stitched together. I ’ ve use it as a personal carry bag, hauled it through congested city streets on two continents and multiple cities and even used a gym bag with all sorts of gear and at most two pairs of shoes comfortably. The side pockets can hold two 32 ounce vacuumed sealed water bottles without any issues. The top small pocket intended for sunglasses has enough ample space for additional items like headphones and a case for glasses. Fully loaded I ’ ve ever had one of these backpacks is at most 45 pounds. Shoulder straps are wide and really comfortable. The adjustability of the shoulder straps is effortless. The addition of the sternum strap gave more stability for heavier loads. The MOLLE style attachment points makes this bag even more versatile to add more items to the face and sides of this bag and has came in clutch many times over. It ’s over built enough for many years of extensive use. They ’ re a bunch of key features I ’ m forgetting but overall you can not go wrong with this bag. Definitely worth it ’s weight in gold!

I bought this right before leaving for a two week in Costa Rica. I figured it would be rainy in Costa Rica even though it was the dry season. It still rained and got this bag wet. I bought this type of roll down water bag design because I have used just the bags for deep water soloing climbing and they work great. This bag worked just perfect to keep all my stuff dry. Mind you, I did n't jump into pools of water with it on and was n't stuck in downpours. I gave it only 4 stars because I did n't fully test it, however I 'm sure it would work just fine. Make sure you deflate the majority of the air out so you can roll it down tighter. Also, make sure to keep it rolled down evenly when securing the buckles. It will unravel some on one side and you would n't want it loose on one side to keep the water out. I 'm a male- 6ft 180lbs and the pack fits great!

I just got this pack a couple of minutes ago. It is very spacious and can hold one sleeping bag, plus a couple of extra things. Please beware though, it says tomato is the only color they have and that's what I ordered. Although, I received a black and gray pack. But, I 'm okay with that because I like that color. Back to the point though, I got the wrong color. It is a very good backpack overall. Also, its weather resistant. Its mostly, i would say, 95% a rubber type material. It seems very durable and feels like it can take a beating. 4 of 5 stars because DICK 'S sent the wrong color and not even a color advertised. I 'm not rating lower because I actually preferred black and gray.

This bag was never advertised as water proof keep that in mind. I use this as a day bag, it has performed flawlessly so far through torrential rain, sleet and snow. Do make sure you get atleast three tight rolls on the top. I 'm giving it 4 stars because of the length of time I 've had it, about 5 months. It's been on many day hikes and a couple overnighters. I usually do n't go over 12- 15 pounds, I pack a full hammock setup. Which includes tarp and underquilt as well as my Bushcrater trio, pack ax, a saw and a medium size knife as well as food and water and other small items. All said and done it works and yes Outdoor Products stands behind their gear, I 've had warranty replacement on one of my kids school bags with no questions asked.

I needed a mid- size bag for a full day of multi- pitch climbing, crag hopping, and lots of hiking in between. Priorities were lightweight, supportive, wearable while climbing, and water bladder compatibility. This bag fits the bill on all of those and is built to comfortably accommodate a harness while being to easily access gear. Where it missed the mark for me was that it's built for a male body. I tried as many adjustments as much as possible but as a 5' 4 '' '' female I could n't get the right fit. I hope osprey recognizes an untapped market and creates female versions of these technical bags some day, like they do for hiking bags!

[ I highly recommend this bad and Thule brand after using this product. Thule Paramount 27L Backpack is perfect for someone who travels. I am realy surprised with this bag. I travel a lot have lots of bags and stroller bag at my home( at least 3 for each member of my family of 4) but I have never used anything like this. It is 3 kg in weight and size is perfect to be used as cabin bag for flights. There is separate space to carry 2 laptop, one ipad safely. I specially liked the side pockets which can fit big bottle and has multiple other pockets inside it secured by chain. Chain and zip are thick and of high quality. There are multiple pockets and spaces which is great to pack your things in an organized way. It has belt on the back which fits on a stroller bag when you are traveling on flights. The straps fits on your shoulder snuggly and has strap to tie it from front so that is doesn ’ t slip. It is perfect for long travel and there is so much space inside it that can surprisingly fit so much inside it. I have bought and replaced many bags because they get damaged easily when traveling long distance but I can guarantee that this Thule bag will last long and will survive harsh conditions of travel. There are many other good things about this bag which you will notice and will be surprised from it once you start using it.
