I had the previous generation Freestone Waders and they took 3 years of abuse, 3- 4 days a week on the water and exceeded my expectations. I recently bought the new Freestone Zs and they are fantastic! The stitching makes for a better feel and better mobility. The fit, flex, and new gravel guards are top notch. The storage pockets are nice along with the tool docking area. The zipper is heavy duty and is convenient allowing for easy in and out and will be useful when nature calls. I have no complaints. I look forward to many, many days on the water with these waders!

So I ’ ve got to be honest.. I really wanted to buy the new waders from First Lite. So much so that I sold the G3 Guides I had worn for several years. They were stocking foots, and for my purposes, boot foot would ’ ve been a better move. But I loved them- they ’ re incredible waders made here in the USA. And I wore the heck out of ‘ em. When First Lite announced that they were delaying their wader launch for another season, I went back to what I knew( Simms), saw this new model, and figured I would give it a try. First impressions: outstanding quality as always, the boot fits snug to the heel, and the zipper is a total game changer. I can ’ t help but think they made these with hunters in mind, given the color and specs( zip+boot foot+webbing on the front). The color is very similar to the Sitka Delta waders in their solid earth tone. Even if First Lite drops something truly revolutionary on their wader next year, I plan on keeping these forever.. a truly excellent product from Simms as always. Note- I normally wear a 9. 5 in shoes, and ordered the 10 Reg in these. Fits perfect so far!

Fit and finish are everything you 'd expect from Simms. Ease of movement even when bending down and squatting is huge. Nothing feels like it is going to rip or break. Using theses to mostly hunt in pairing them with a good leg gaiter to protect the neoprene on the boots should only make them better. I really hope they drop this color combo or similar in a stocking foot in the future. I wish they would have used a OD green boot on these. Boots are super comfortable out of the box and fit true to size. Went with theses over Sitkas deltas, nice to see Simms tapping into the hunting scene a little more. Bring on more solid dark colors and combos! Ill never own a pair of non zip waders again, total game changer!

These fit perfectly and the material is the best from all I have tried. Standing in 55 degree water in the PNW, I ’ m comfortable with just leggings under. The only downside is I use a bait gel and it ’s doesn ’ t come off the material. Guess it gives it character. Buy these, worth it.

Most wader pants I ’ ve tried seemed like a mere afterthought by the manufacturer. These new Simms pants are the best product available by far for those of us who don ’ t need full waders. I use them to launch my boat when necessary, to fish from my kayak and of course, for shallow wading. They are really comfortable and convenient, slipping on and off with no effort. I cant imagine buying wader pants without the zipper! They were perfect for me( Large King) … 6- 2 and 220 lbs. I do wish you could provide 3 three overlapping size ranges for the booties. For those of us with size 11 1/2 feet the 9- 11s are a little short and the 12- 13s a little long. Otherwise, these are perfect!'

[ Oh man. Let me tell you about these bad boys. First, they fit like a glove- not too snug, not too loose, but just right. I ’ ve wet waded in these a few times so far and trust me, no gravel is getting into my shoes or down into these. I could wear these suckers everywhere and be confident and cool in them, they are just that amazing. People often mistake me for a fly fishing guide when I have them on and throw money at me( that ’s what you do with guides, right?), ask for advice( my answer: throw meat, bruh), and occasionally just watch me as I ultimately mess up( no one seems to care because I ’ m wearing these hot as heck socks.). I definitely feel that my angling game has benefited so much from these that I may order another pair just to have around the house.

I thought they might have a collar around your lower leg once you pull the upper down over your boot but they don ’ t. No worries, they are snug enough pebbles and sand don ’ t get in.
