These are the best waders on the planet. Mine are the previous version introduced in 2018. They fit like no other wader and they perform like no other wader. I have never had a leak. I had them customised with a different bootie size for a modest additional charge. My advice is don ’ t sit down on anything with spikes and don ’ t march through any bushes with spikes. That seems like common sense to me. Superb waders. I anticipate writing an equally positive review of my waders in several years time. Worth every penny( I live and fish in Scotland) or cent.

I am a fish biologist in Washington State and wear waders pretty much two thirds of the year conducting stream and river surveys. I have owned several pairs of Simms waders and love the durability, flexibility, and breathability of the G3's. They are surprisingly rugged and have held up bushwhacking through blackberries, salmonberries and devils club, which can shred lesser waders.

I had the previous generation Freestone Waders and they took 3 years of abuse, 3- 4 days a week on the water and exceeded my expectations. I recently bought the new Freestone Zs and they are fantastic! The stitching makes for a better feel and better mobility. The fit, flex, and new gravel guards are top notch. Ordered size 9 my normal size and they fit perfect. After I put them on the first time I could tell they would be hard to take off. First half dozen times I wore them I put a plastic shopping bag over each foot to make it easier to get them off. They have since loosened up alittle so no more shopping bags. So far great boots. Small interior pocket would have been nice.

The plain earth color seems to blend well with multiple habitats in multiple seasons in S. Louisiana. The boots are insulated enough that my feet were comfortable during my first hunt in sub freezing temps. The uninsulated upper is perfect as I can wear them during early teal or frogging season as they seem to breath well. I 'm 5'10 '', 190lbs( 32 '' waist) and wear 10. 5- 11 in shoes. The waders fit perfect. Zip chest and hand pockets are nice additions.

I had been waiting and watching reviews on these waders for the last few months before pulling the trigger on them. After hunting in them over the last few weeks in several different places, they have impressed me. The fit is perfect. I hunt 30- 40 times a season, so these will be put to the test over the remainder of this season and next. Only thing I ’ ve found missing is D- loops. But I made my own using a ziiptie and it ’s worked fine. I think these will contend with the likes of Chene and Sitka. And the warranty looks to be the same if not better.

Great product... its my third Simms wading staff. One bent after falling on it crossing a river in Montana and another snapped in two after a bad fall negotiating high spring water in Colorado. I would NEVER BE ON A STREAM WITHOUT THIS PRODUCT. It has saved me too many times to count. Over the last 60 years years I used a lot of different wading staffs and this is the best. One thing I do n't care for is the way they have integrated the holster and the retractable leash. I would much rather have two separate components- I never bother using the holster. I sling it over my right shoulder when not in use.
