I just purchased a Spider GT Max last week. I rolled a few putts on the putting green and it is great so far. The new face insert feels better than the older Spider X. I need to experiment with the movable weights in the future but I am very excited. We only use the driver 14 times per round but we use putter more than a half of our score. This putter is by far the best putter I 've ever owned. It swings like a well balanced pendulum. Played with a buddy the second time out and was draining everything. After making a 15 footer he asked to try it and proceeded to drop his from about the same distance. It definitely got his attention. I 'm hoping that if it continues to perform like this it will save me 3 to 4 strokes per round. Wish it was a little less expensive but if it lasts me several years it will be well worth it.

I was looking at all the available counter balanced putters, and this is the one I kept coming back to. In my unscientific side by side with the Taylormade, Tommy Armour, Scotty Cameron, etc. this is the one that I made the most putts with and felt most confident with. Performed excellent on the course, too- I was a noticeably better putter while using it, one or two putting almost all 18. Feels great, works great. If you try it and it works well for you, there is zero reason to buy anything more expensive unless you want to pay an extra couple hundred to have a different logo etched into your club.

As a near- single digit player, I ’ ve found this Zero Torque Counter Balanced design excellent. Takes a bit getting used to but the roll is soft, true, comfortable( I use modified claw) and the grip is solid, a bit wider than normal. My putting stats are definitely improved( and psychologically as well). Full recommendation. Though not inexpensive.
