These are snug at the instep if you have “ taller ” feet; it took a few wears to start to feel comfortable, and takes a shoe horn every time to get them on. Surprisingly roomy at toe box( which is where my width is). Learher and construction seem good. Cork later at the sole makes these a bit more casual, but colorwise, plays well with all the neutrals. Good looking for a casual boot. Squeaky for first day, then not again. Haven ’ t tested waterproofing yet.

I expected a break- in period but these blacksmiths were comfortable out of the box. Soft but supportive and the fit was perfect for me. No chafing, roomy but not loose. The traction was good even in wet weather. And they are fine to wear even during hot and humid days where I live. Chose the copper rough and tough because I think the look is so classic and understated. Love the versatility as well. Can use them with just about every pair of pants and( even shorts) in my closet.
