I froze about 15 pounds of meat in ziplocks, and placed in plastic cereal boxed shaped containers. and put two gallons of frozen ice jugs. With about 24 cans and condiments. We came home with a golf ball sized ice cube in the gallon jugs, and cold meat! One more gallon of ice and it would have made 6 days, no doubt. Example is the back of a Honda Odyssey…yes, I ’ m a dad with kids and dogs and one day I ’ ll have a rad car again, but until then I ’ ll settle on having a rad Yeti. But reality is, this fits perfectly behind the third row in the trunk space. Adds a nice spot for the kid to sit when the trunk is open as well. It is heavy on its own, must have a minimum of 3 years dad strength to lift this thing when full. Kids love it, it ’s a sticker magnet for them( and me). [ My husband and I love this cooler. I ’ ve added some photos to show off a few features. I love the latch to keep the lid closed. That way when we ’ re headed down the road we never have to worry about it toppling over and coming open or the wind pulling the lid open in the back of the truck. I also really like the handles. They have straps so they can extend out and up to give you more flexibility in how you hold it. It also makes it easy to carry on my own with my short arms. It of course has wheels to roll on and they are nice and large so it glides smoothly and easily. The handle extends pretty high. Up to around my chest. So I never have to lean down to roll it along. The inside is quite large both vertically and horizontally so that I can put a variety of different sizes and shaped items in. Watermelon…no problem. Six packs…no problem. Tons of stuff! And it stays so cold for so long. Plus the drain plug has a no lose cap and it ’s position much better than previous coolers I ’ ve owned. It ’s down at the bottom of the cooler instead of above the floor of the cooler slightly, so all of the liquid drains. We love this cooler so much that we gave away the one we had before this. Fantastic water source for camping. Kept water nice and cold for several days and provided an easy way to refill bottles and camelbaks with ice cold water for hikes. Keep in mind that 8 lbs of ice will take up 1 gallon of volume. If the water is room temperature when you put it in( like those 5 gallon containers you re- fill at the store) then you will need approximately 12 lbs of ice just to even get it cold( with all the ice now melted and none leftover). So I ’ d recommend pairing 24 lbs of ice with 3 gallons of room temperature water. That should leave you with roughly 4. 5 gallons of ice cold water and 12 lbs of ice to make sure it stays cold.

I researched for about 2 weeks after my “ USA made ” lifetime cooler broke after a few years of lite duty. After all the reviews and research I decided on a orca cooler and guess what? I didn ’ t make a mistake I would put this on yeti level with a better warranty and being made right here in the states. My cooler came with a big scratch on top but it looks like something shipping did. Im impressed with all aspects of this cooler my favorite parts are the handles and the bag on the back all very sturdy and high quality. If I get good longevity out of this as I feel I will you guys have a life long customer.

My second ORCA cooler. This one is a 20 quart and will be used for day trips. It is a great American product and is built to last generations. When I received the cooler the flag had not adhered and had to be pressed back on. This is the issue with most stickers I tried to put on my 40 quart but the eventually they all come off. Bottom line, I bought the cooler to be a cooler not a billboard. I will buy again.

I requested this for Christmas, absolutely wonderful present. I am senior citizen that camps alone and I was having trouble draining my six day cooler, the location of the drain plug is perfect, I just lean it out the back of my van and drain. [ I love this cooler, my daughter bout one of these and I have been using it more than her so I figured I needed to buy my own. Believe it or not my dad had invented the wheel design and handle back in the 80's. I 'm glad to see your improvements to the design. I really like the extension T on the handle. but would remocent one thing and that is something to get the handle up higher so the cooler does n't tip over when you walk upright where it is comfortable. I just made a loop with 2 '' webbing to put around the handle as a quick fix but would love something more purmanent.
