The RockLock has to be the best twist lock around. I was looking for a larger twist lock pear shape carabiner with a large gate opening to use on my cowtails for caving and this hit the mark. This is the largest opening I can find in a twist lock. Twist lock is super easy to open with thicker/muddy gloves on. Easier to clean/decon and durable. Larger opening makes these super easy to use at anchors, quick to clip safety lines, or to clip the ledge above your anchor knot. I also use these for making a top rope anchor as remember to screw the gate down, I ’ m bad with that, and it doesn ’ t take two hands to manipulate like a trilock. I can not recommend these more.

I love these carabiners simply for the fact that they are n't over the top expensive, and its easy to carry a bunch of them without getting weighted down. The bluff I usually climb at is about a mile hike up a very steep slope, and often times I 'm camping out there too, so having light weight gear is always a bonus. The only draw back is that the size does make them a little more difficult to maneuver through/around a lot of other gear( if your setting a top rope in a precarious position for example) but I 've also never had it present an actual problem.

The construction on this carabiner is on par with other major branded carabiners and the size/shape is also on par. The thing I enjoy most about it is that it has the retainer that keeps it oriented correctly. This can be a pain in the rear at times if you 're clipping in and out repeatedly, but it's also a good reminder to screw your gate closed when clipping in as the retainer wo n't close or function until you 're completely screwed closed on your gate. Overall it's a great carabiner and helps on many fronts when climbing. This is especially helpful at preventing cross- loading while belaying someone.

Great QuickDraw, the dogbone is think enough if you need to yank up on a draw during a projecting session and the carabiners are a good size when you ’ re pumped and need to clip a draw. Especially great for the price! I ’ ll be buying more when I need new QuickDraws and may need to get the longer version as well. The longer ones are better for use with a stick clip especially if you are pulling draws off the wall with the stick.

I love everything about these for the gym and short outdoor crags, and crux ’s. I like the thick dog one that ’s easy to grab if needed, and the carabiners included are easy to manipulate when getting a forearm pump and tired hands. I use two together often for a quick top rope anchor and they work great for it.

To start with, these quickdraws are hefty. I would n't call them heavy, but they definitely are n't lightweight. In my case, that's exactly what I was looking for. I want to be able to use these often without having to worry about them wearing out and the give me the impression that they 'll last a long time. If you want something lightweight for alpine excursions, check out Mammut's wiregate options. The gates are stiff enough that I am not worried about them coming open accidentally. My favorite feature is that there is red fabric embedded in the dog- bone, which if you manage to wear the fabric down far enough to reveal that red fabric you 'll know its time to replace the dog- bone.

Because I really liked how the gates felt whilst clipping. I Used this product mostly for lead climbing and the extra length really helped in some of the tricky positions you get into. I have always liked the way Mammut carabiners feel. They feel secure but not to stiff to make clipping hard in any way. This product is great for beginner to expert climbers.

TLDR; Super sweet quickdraws with nice action and the thick dog bones make them relatively nice to grab. The length is awesome for sport climbs but may be a bit short for longer, wandering routes. Indicator webbing is also comforting to have! For context, I mainly use these quickdraws for sportclimbing, and for sportclimbs, they 're amazing. The keylock carabiners are nicely sized and super smooth making them super easy to to clip/unclip them. The hanger/bolt side carabiner has some texture on the gate that also make clipping/unclipping easier. The webbing used for the dog bone is quite thick so despite appearances, they are comfortable to grab when required. The dog bones being 10cm may be a bit short for longer wandering routes, but for most sport routes, I have n't had a huge issue. The indicator webbing is also a nice feature!!

Good carabiner to have extra safety without getting too bulcky or heavy. Ideal to clip straight to bolts like when using those Quads or similar anchors. It is too small to make knots or self anchor over other ropes or rappels. Good to carry your machard Kevlar 5- 6mm cord for rapelling. Good stuff!

The monofil perfect alternative to a wire gate, and lighter than a solid gate. Unlike most wiregate quickdraws, the rope can ’ t get caught on the end of the carabiner. [ The smooth feel and the solid 'clunk' sound of the gates closing is just awesome. They are slightly but noticeably heavier than than the Petzl Spirit Express which have a similar feel and sound.
