I have worn them indoors for 1- 2 hours without difficulty and then started wearing them outdoors for 1- 2 hour walks with my dog. We were on sidewalks and in wooded areas. My first pair of Chaco's boots- The package arrived on time- purchased 1/2 size up men's fields lace boot. In hand inspection of the boots coloring and construction are excellent. The dark brown leather is blemish free. The feeling of fit wearing thick wool socks is comfortable, no odd pressure points along the upper or side portion of the shoes. Man made foam insert foot bed sits on top of the compressed paper or leather mid sole. The glued on `` Chaco '' rubber sole is grippy and has deep treads for a secure wet stance in the rain. Very comfortable around the calf area because of the elastic cut out design, provides easy flex while walking. Overall a good looking boot.

Not the MOST comfortable, but it is a more old school boot. Soles hold up incredibly well considering I walk on broken glass every day. I 've worn these a few times a month for about five months now and I 'm impressed by their waterproof ability. Recently I had to work for several hours out in the rain and every layer I was wearing ended up soaked- but my socks and feet stayed dry! I bought these boots over a year ago. So far they have been pretty good. I work as a full time diesel technician and occasionally have to do landscaping and construction work and these boots have held up pretty well to everything I do. The oil, diesel, break cleaner, etc have not hurt the leather nor the stitches at all. I will say I am disappointed in the insoles, being that they only lasted me about 4 months. I have had to replace the insoles quite often but mainly because I do weigh about 255 lbs and have a very wide foot. Also the hook eyelet on my left boot broke after about 6 months as well. The water proof feature has been great even for being a lace up boot. I ’ ve been I some fairly deep water( nearly covering up the entire boot) and haven ’ t had any water go into these boots or the leather. All in all these boots have been a strong and sturdy boot for what I need them for. I ’ d recommend them highly since I haven ’ t had much issues with them besides the two mentioned and have found them super comfortable

The first pair I bought myself in 2014, side by side with their replacement that just arrived today. Pulled them out of the box and it was like meeting an old friend that hasn ’ t changed a bit. The fit and feel, perfection. Now, I literally hiked the soles off of the old pair. The toes cracked. Laces frayed but original. Hike 6 miles per day. Half asphalt and half gravel. To Date= 54 miles in these boots. Break in took 40 miles. Cons: 1. Blister: Still have Blister on right heel. 2. Ankle: Inside Right ankle was sore through 40 miles. This was due to rubbing up against part inside ankle padding that attaches outside Hook Eyelet. Pros: 1. Sturdy- No breakdown of any material or stichibg above the sole 2. Comfortable- After break in period of 40 miles, ankle pain went away. Hard to tell boots are even on during each hike. 3. Sole- Slight wear on heal and outside ball- nothing significant 4. Grip- excellent. I do have to go down hill on 20% grade for 70 feet on loose gravel, no slip Overall 1. I Recommend these boots 2. I sincerely hope that Vasque does n't discontinue the Breeze LT GTX. I 've had a pair of clunkier Vasque's and a pair of Merrell's and these outperform both hands down. I 've worn these in the winter with a thicker pair of socks and in the summer with a thinner pair of socks over the last year of having them and they hold up great in both( although not designed as a winter/snow boot). Hiking summers in Boise desert heat is hard, and these have not once given me a blister, been uncomfortable, or made me question my footing. Everything about them is phenomenal! I recommend them to all of my friends and will continue to buy more pairs. Now I just want more color options please!:)

I bought these for a photography trip to Iceland. As with all my Vasque boots, they fit right out of the box. I hiked on rocky hills and through streams and wet sand beaches and they were a dream. Fully waterproof and comfortable after 12 hour days. Loved they were so much lighter than other hiking boots. Tread on bottom gave sure footing on wet rocks. I couldn ’ t have asked for more!

[ I 've only done about 20 miles in these boots so far, but am VERY happy with them! I read reviews all over the place and decided to follow the advice of ordering a half size up, I will always have to wear a thick sock with them but feel it was still the right way to go. After reading the reviews I was a little concerned about the `` strange arch support '' mentioned by many. I was worried it was going to be similar to Chacos, which I cant wear because of the large arch support, however it's not like that at all and gives more support under your heal( not sure how to best explain this(:) and I find it very comfortable. These seemed pretty stiff at first but after one 5 mile hike they loosened up and feel very similar to a tennis shoe. I do have to mention that the heal box is oddly large, this does n't seem to be an issue for me, but thought I would mention it incase it would be helpful to someone else. All in all I would say if your on the fence about these you should just go for it!

[ So far I have hiked with these shoes a little over 20mi. I hiked Mount Monadnock two days each day around 10mi. They are very lightweight while being pretty supportive. I definitely felt confident using these shoes on the Spellman, Pompelly,& Marlboro Trails. Spellman being the steepest trail on the mountain, I had no problem climbing off trail on the steep granite slabs. I was able to use the flat toe part of the boot to to support myself while standing on small cracks in the rock like I was wearing a climbing shoe. It was awesome! I felt like a kid at the playground! Terrain was mostly dry, but there were a couple wet spots that the Megagrip sole did perform well on. Temperature was in the low 70 ’ sF. The only negative I have about the boot, is that it does not breathe well. My feet did sweat considerably wearing a lightweight synthetic sock. Both days I took my shoes and socks off at the summit and removed the Ortholite insoles to dry for a half hour in the sun and wind. The inside of the boots didn ’ t fully dry out. The Ortholight insole mostly dried, because they are very thin. Inersoles could be a little thicker to provide more cushioning, but overall my feet felt good at the end of both hikes. These are aggressive trails for breaking in new shoes, but they felt pretty good out of the box, so I went for it. I think these boots will be best for shoulder season hikes and hikes taking you above tree line. Can ’ t wait to take them to Mount Washington NH!

I actually do n't own these shoes, but I tried them on in an 8 at the store( I wear 8. 5 but they only had whole sizes) and wanted to say that they are pretty narrow and snug. If I had bought them instead of choosing the Explorer III, I 'd have bought a size 9- 9. 5 just for normal socks. I just wanted to let everyone know they should probably size up, maybe even two sizes! Very cute boots.

Couldn ’ t be happier with these boots! If I could give them 10 stars I would. Feels like you are wearing sneakers but perfectly cozy. I normally wear an 8. 5 but ordered an 9 as that is what I would normally wear in tennis shoes or boots with thicker socks. My foot is on the wider side and these fit great. Exactly what I needed for walking my dog in the cold temps and snow.

Delivery was excellent, one day earlier than expected. Boots are very cute and light. Once I tried them in they fit a bit tight however I walked around the house and they did give in. I am a size 8/wide for reference. Comparing the Uggs they are much flexible and light. We will see how they perform in the snow
