[ We bought this to use as a diaper bag, and it works really well. I love that it has two side pockets for water bottles( or baby bottles!), and a spacious interior with a wide opening. Our first diaper bag backpack just did not open wide enough for us to find what we were looking for, but this one makes it easy. I got it in the Copenhagen blue which is a nice medium blue with a sort of subtle crosshatch pattern. I know this backpack will serve us well and last us beyond our diaper bag years.

I 've been using this Surge backpack since 2019 and it has been great! I 've heard my family's thoughts on the newer model of the same backpack and they are not as impressed. The straps are more prone to breaking and the seams have started tearing pretty early in the life of their backpack. This being said, my older model has been so great! It's gone through years of hauling notebooks, folders, textbooks, water bottles, and clothes for practice after school. One of the shoulder straps did begin to tear last year( 2024) slightly but a quick stitch- job has got it back to working order. I would definitely buy a North Face backpack again!

It's built strongly enough to withstand the rigors of my daily work/life commute but crafted with such taste it looks like it belongs in any boardroom for executive meetings. FIT and FEEL: Backpack is bigger than it looks, and still fits comfortably when wearing for extended periods of time. The straps have solid padding and the Haul Loop is extra luxurious. No trouble adjusting the straps to my desired length. DESIGN: Sleek, understated elegance. The only branding on it is a basic Nike Swoosh on the front outer pocket, and even then it's the same color as the rest of the backpack to continue with the more sophisticated look. FABRIC: The nylon material used on the exterior of the backpack feels like its built to last and the interior polyester is also well constructed. There are so many things I love about this backpack. The Trolley/Luggage sleeve on the backside is such a nice feature to be included as this backpack definitely has the size to be used for extended trips. I also like how the interior laptop sleeve has a button clasp at the top to prevent a laptop from potentially sliding out or moving around if the backpack was upended for any reason. The drawstring allows for a wider opening into the main compartment but there's also a side zipper for quick access( refer to my photo). There's also an interior bottle sleeve that could potentially be used to hold sunblock or anything else you may want to keep hidden away.

[ I ’ ve had this new backpack for a little over a month now and I ’ m really enjoying it. From a work standpoint, there ’s a cushioned area for my laptop, iPad& other work files in the main pocket. In the secondary pocket that is sealed with Velcro, I carry all of my laptop cords and other miscellaneous supplies. I ’ m surprised how well the Velcro seals and nothing falls out. The side zipper allows me quick access to whatever I need. On top there is a small zipper pocket for my pens, pencils, and a calculator. There is also a water bottle holder on each side. But what I like most about this bag is the blaze orange interior, which helps me to see items that get buried in the bottom of the bag that would normally be difficult to see if it was lined in black. This is ingenious as I ’ ve never had a backpack with this coloration on the interior. I thought it would be annoying, but it is very helpful. Ordered this backpack for my 8th grade son online because this backpack was not available to purchase in store. We received our order quickly. Everything looked good with the exception that 5 of the 7 paracord zipper attachments were missing. Normally it would not be an issue but the zipper pulls are pretty small so it would have been nice to have the paracord attachments that they are supposed to come with. It ’s very well built and easy to carry, there ’s plenty of room for evacuation essentials, and all of my stuff stayed dry! All sorts of camping and survival supplies are very popular here in hurricane country — even though I don ’ t know of a single person who actually voluntarily goes camping around here! The only thing I wish I could change about the bag is the color! I really wanted a hot pink, or at least a bright neon orange or yellow! Still, the red and yellow is considerably more visible than the basic black. I received the correct item, in good condition, in a decent amount of time. The packaging was frankly ridiculous, though! It ’s very flat and took up minimal room, even without rolling it up – so there was no reason to send it in a massive cardboard box the size of a golf bag, for goodness sakes!

Made extremely well. Loved the hard bottom of this considering I mostly fish kayak and canoe, keeps things dry. Looked forever for what this thing will hold with no info on storage capacity. Pulled the trigger and was pleased with what I could fit. Main compartment holds 3 3700 size boxes, you could add a 3700 thin as well but its pretty tight. The front pouch will hold a 3600 box without much room to spare, I loaded mine with a 3600 thin terminal box and a thin 3500 box. Pouches on the side of bag will hold the small Flambeau spinner bait box. I used top pouch for plastics, holds like ten bags or so comfortably. Great bag and comfortable to carry fully loaded

I 've had this pack for 4+ years now. I take it on a couple backpacking trips a year on average and some day hikes where I 'm carrying more than normal. It's always fit everything I need. I 've carried a large tandem packraft and paddles with it( alpacka forager). I 've hiked 30 miles of the Kesugi Ridge Trail with it. The most notable use I think was for a caribou hunt I did a couple years ago on the Denali Highway. I packed out a cow caribou including all meat and 4 quarters bone in and the hide with my other knives and day pack type gear 5 miles down a mountain side and back to the parking lot via the trail. Roughly 100lbs. No buckles broke or came undone under tension, no rips, straps worked well to keep the load secure and close to my body. It only creaked and groaned a bit under that load, but otherwise performed well especially for not being a hunting pack. I would buy again!

Great bag. Great size. I bought this bag to replace another 40L bag I had for work and daily use. I was looking for a bag that had plenty of room in a main compartment, while also being able to hold a laptop and smaller items( pens, small tools, notepad). This bag fit the need great. I recently traveled across the country with it and it held up great. The straps and back panel make it comfortable to wear, the roll top makes throwing and grab large items easy, and it did well holding up to a light snow flurry while I was out( though I feel the material would struggle with a heavy soak). Firstly, this bag has a small plastic internal frame to provide structure. The frame is lightweight, yet sturdy enough for a fully packed bag. The straps on the bottom of the bag are perfect for a sleeping bag, ground mat, or small tent. I dumped my big backpack years ago and traveled light with a gray Herschel which seemed just the right size. Then I found myself with a book, laptop, sandwich( cause you 've got to bring your own food on planes nowadays), and electronic cables and batteries until the Hershel was running out of space. I did n't want to go back to a big backpack but wanted something just a little bigger. This works! It's small enough to fit under an airline seat( see photo) but bigger and more organized on the inside. Plus my gray canvas Herschel showed dirt and stains whereas this one is jet black and has a slick surface that can be wiped off. It feels a little bigger and stiffer on the back but I 'm fine with that. You 're not going to get compliments with this one because it is plain black but it's super functional and with a lifetime guarantee I 'm not planning on getting another backpack for a long time.

I needed a mid- size bag for a full day of multi- pitch climbing, crag hopping, and lots of hiking in between. Priorities were lightweight, supportive, wearable while climbing, and water bladder compatibility. This bag fits the bill on all of those and is built to comfortably accommodate a harness while being to easily access gear. Where it missed the mark for me was that it's built for a male body. I tried as many adjustments as much as possible but as a 5' 4 '' '' female I could n't get the right fit. I hope osprey recognizes an untapped market and creates female versions of these technical bags some day, like they do for hiking bags!

I did n't understand the significance of a female- specific pack until I got this one-- I had been using a 75L+ unisex/ male pack for 10+ years and it always felt just a little off. The first time putting this one on, fully loaded, for a 5 day backpacking trip, I realized what a game- changer it was. Originally I was concerned going down in size by 5L, but all the pockets and stash points make up for it. It packs much better than my previous pack and the weight is distributed better and sits on my hips more comfortably. Definitely recommend!

Just got this pack as a replacement for my very old and trusted Arial 75. Despite being a guy I got the women's as my last one was a women's and it fit me so well. I am 5' 7 '' '' and 155#. Super comfortable and easy to adjust. I have just used it so far for day backcountry skiing. It easily synched down to a small size and was narrow with no wobble for skiing in the trees.
