We have been camping with Camp Chef for years, with mostly a big and hungry crew, and these Camp Chef Griddles are a mainstay. From fried eggs and pancakes to Chicken Fried Steak, these grill perform. I cant think of a reason to have an outdoor stove if you do n't have a Camp Chef Griddle. We use one on our BBQ grill, at home, too. It works great when we have a big crew for breakfast!.

I 've had a Campchef 2 burner griddle since the early 90's and its still working well. I have cooked literally hundreds of meals on it. In the 90's the griddles did n't come with the diffuser plates on the bottom so I made a couple of them. They now they come with the diffuser plates and I love them. To me, a griddle is the most important accessory for any Campchef stove and I highly recommend purchasing one. It allows so much flexibility as to what you can cook. I now have 2 of the 2 burner griddles and 2 of the single burner griddles.( I have 3 of the Pro90 stoves and 1 single burner stove).

Long honest review here and I want to start this review off with this is my very first full sized griddle. I have always just used the Camp Chef Sidekick Griddle on the Woodwind Smoker. Before buying I put in my time researching and looking at reviews and I am so happy I went with The Gridiron 36. This thing is sturdy, easy to use, and just looks badass. I am about 2 months in and keep saying I ’ m glad I stuck with Camp Chef equipment. First it arrived in perfect condition and was easy to put together. Everything about it is fantastic. The lid is awesome and love how it ’s connected for easy on and off. The four burners and ignition is great and have not had a single issue. Extremely quiet when I turn it on. The shelves on the side are useful for everyday cooking and yes the one above the propane tank doesn ’ t fold down but that ’s okay I don ’ t fold them down to begin with even with the cover. Grease management is a breeze and love that it ’s in the front and easy access from underneath. I have the cover and griddle mat which I strongly suggest. IF you want some kind of critique or one thing I wish was different. I wish the line for the propane was not directly up front and in the rear, kind of hidden, but that ’s purely cosmetic and does not affect a thing. I ’ m over it already. My buddies have a popular competitor griddle and it just looks small and not as well built as the Gridiron 36. Next up is buying some of the magnetic attachments. After every cook I think I verbally say to my wife I ’ m glad I chose Camp Chef again!

I like the fact that when you turn it on low, the temperature stays low as opposed to other brands that just keep getting hotter the longer it goes. Very even heating all across the surface. I ’ ve had my griddle for a year and used about twice a month and my top has absolutely no deterioration or excessive wear. The griddle has never seen any metal cooking utensils or abrasive cleaning products or tools. I use only Pit Boss utensils for the griddle and clean with Dawn soap, water and the Pit Boss scrub pad( recommended by Pit Boss). Another tip would be to not use oil( as you would with a steel grill). I use butter and only enough to flavor. My experience is better than most reviews. You can ’ t treat this griddle like a steel top.

I did have an initial issue with one of the burner nacklights not working and they sent me out a new know with backlight immediately, no problem at all. Every time Father's Day /Mother's Day approaches I always think of what a great gift this made for me.**** There is a current issue however, I do need a new 5 burner cooktop and can not get one anywhere and this is not available in the current parts list. I have not been able get assistance with this thus far so any help would be appreciated!!

I bought this to replace the grill on the RoadTrip portable propane stove that I recently purchased, giving e capability to do eggs, pancakes, etc. I bought the RoadTrip after inquiring if it was a “ low pressure ” device, which my travel trailer required to operate from its propane system. Coleman said it was “ low pressure ”, but with its additional regulator it does not work from my travel trailer ’s propane system. It ’s a good product, but does not meet my original requirement.
