I do n't store my quilt in it when it's not being used, I just hang it on the hanger with the quilt.

[ When I travel space is important. Not like the whole seeings “ billions and billions of stars ” at night thing. But more of making big bulky things fit into a smaller space. Kinda like a Tardis in reverse! It ’s smaller inside my pack than outside. This works for squishy things only! It will not work for your trail bike…. Don ’ t ask how I know. Really! For the waterproof test, I sprayed the thing with a garden hose, on “ gentle rain ” setting for 30 seconds with my down bag in there to see how it would perform in wet conditions. So I 've been wanting to upgrade my stock compression bag that came with my sleeping bag for a while now, and wow is the Evac HD absolutely perfect. The 35 L size makes getting a bulky sleeping bag in and compressed a cinch, and the rugged material is perfect for mounting on the outside of a backpack! What's the most impressive, though, is the eVent technology that really allows the sleeping bag to be compressed more than any other type of dry bag, as the air can be pushed out of the bottom through the eVent material. Frankly, I 'm absolutely thrilled with this thing!

I have been using the eVac dry bags for years. They are a great way to keep sleeping bags and extra layers dry while gaining room in your bag. The new HD fabric is bomber. I will use it with a roll- top dry bag to keep my sleeping bag dry all summer on the river. These are the best compression bags I have ever used.

Zero worries
[ The stuff bag that came with my EE 0 degree bag was too small. This compressor bag is perfect. It's big enough to get the bag in without any expletives, and compresses down to 14 inches so I can place it sideways in the pack. Love it.

[ I like the lightness of these. I like the compressibility. The scouts tend to have internal frame packs and need to squeeze things tight, this does the job. I still use an external frame pack, the packs straps go under the compressing stings to keep the bag from sliding sideways off of my pack without having to overtighten the pack straps. These bags have become my favorite.

[ I have used these stuff bags for years and like them because of they are light weight and waterproof and compress my sleeping bag so much. They also provide some mental stimulation each morning figuring out the puzzle of getting the strings untangled and the `` lid '' end of the bag positioned. Honestly, in spite of the string difficulties, I keep buying more.

Also worked great as a pillow to reduce pack weight. ... The thing I like most about this dry bag is that two of the straps now have clips on them, which makes it a lot easier to use than the version of this bag I got 10+ years

I took this bag out on a 15 mile trek with new people to hiking. I showed them the importance of a good quality dry bag, as it started to rain! They watched me stuff the next days breakfast along with some personal items in the Evac bag. Worked well keeping the items inside dry. We had no issues. A couple asked me where to go to get one and I said Sea to Summit.

This is a great product for just about any sport that involves any sort of water. This spends most of the winter on my snowmobile keeping backup layers dry, and has held up really well. These ca n't get wet extra layers are essential in the backcountry, but I never have to worry about that with this bag. In the summer this transitions onto my bike and can take the wear and tear of being strapped on externally. I had an older version of these bags, but the new one is easier to use and more streamlined. The compression feature is well worth the( minimal) additional weight as it takes up way less space and gives you more options to strap the bags onto other things.

13L is the perfect size for my 20 degree down sleeping bag. It ’s critical to keep down dry and having the compression straps turn a full size down bag into the size of a small basketball which frees up lots of space in my backpack for other items. I have an older version of this bag that still works well but the new quick release buckles on this model make it easier to use. Note that you do need to be patient for the eVent to work. It ’s a dry bag so water can ’ t get in but air can escape with compression out of the eVent fabric. Pro tip: roll the top closed once and add pressure to get out a lot of the air, then add two more rolls and clip closed. Pull the bottom over the top and using constant pressure keep cinching the straps alternating sides for and even compression. Another quality piece of gear by Sea to Summit. Two thumbs up.

I have been using the EVX 13 L dry bag when paddling, climbing, camping and bikepacking. This bag is amazing! It is light, tough and above all keeps the weather out. I took this out on a multi- day bikepacking trip which turned into a multi- day snow and rain event. I stored my down jacket and other `` need to stay dry so you do n't cry '' items in it( down jacket/pants). Everything stayed perfectly dry. The compression straps allow me to get my gear into small areas in my bike bags without compromising the integrity of my gear. The compression straps worked super smooth, no twisting or locking up. I travel to remote locations, most of the time solo( unless guiding). I need to know that I can count on my gear to keep me in the backcountry as long as I want and not have to leave due to equipment failure or poor design. The EVAC bag is amazing. I am going to purchase more and I highly recommend it to anyone that spends time exploring, or traveling in areas you know the weather will test and punish the your gear.

Lightweight compression sacks are designed to reduce the volume of your gear, making them ideal for backpacking and travel. They help organize your belongings, allowing you to pack more efficiently and save space in your backpack or luggage. Additionally, these sacks can protect your items from moisture and dirt, enhancing their durability during outdoor adventures.
Lightweight compression sacks are typically made from durable, water-resistant materials such as nylon or polyester. These fabrics are chosen for their strength-to-weight ratio, allowing for a lightweight design without sacrificing durability. Some models may also feature reinforced seams and coatings to enhance water resistance and overall longevity.
Choosing the right size lightweight compression sack depends on the volume of gear you plan to store. Consider the type of items you will be compressing, such as sleeping bags or clothing, and select a size that accommodates them comfortably. It's often helpful to have a range of sizes for different trips, allowing for flexibility based on your packing needs.
Yes, lightweight compression sacks are versatile and can be used for various outdoor activities, including camping, hiking, and traveling. They are particularly beneficial for activities where space is limited, as they help compress bulky items. However, it's essential to consider the specific needs of your activity, such as waterproofing for wet conditions.
When selecting a lightweight compression sack, look for features such as adjustable straps for better compression, a roll-top closure for easy access, and water-resistant materials for added protection. Additionally, consider the weight of the sack itself, as a truly lightweight option will enhance your overall packing efficiency.
