It can be layered over tops to wear through an entire workout to stay warm or easily taken off once you warm up. I love that it looks nice enough to wear after a workout too while running errands. I 've barely had this a month and it's already a favorite. If you see other review from me, you 'll get that I 'm obsessed with the TENCEL selections, this is no exception. I have no shortage of Carhartt jackets of varying weights. The cut of this is very flattering, these pants weight is perfect for spring and summer nights, or chilly days. It's still breathable, yet a nice layer to keep the chill off. I got black and thought I would regret it due to how other collect dog fur and random fuzz, but the smoothness of this fabric attracts less lint/hair and when it does get in there, it's far easier to brush off. The stiffness of other Carhartt jackets does not exist with this one, that stiffness serves its purpose, so just know that before buying. This is durable, but not as heavy duty it's perfect for general work and for going out. The flexibility is phenomenal and. I greatly appreciate that the sleeves allow for larger arms or layering without being balloons, I would n't be able to wear a sweater under it, but long sleeves and flannels fit perfectly without bunching. Seriously, they knocked it out of the park with this jacket from looks to fit to function. I 'm very tempted to grab the green as well and will watch for more colors.

I 'm not into the look of puffer jackets, but needed a warm goose down and landed on this design which I like better than the traditional design. The fit is great, not too loose not too tight. But, I debated keeping it for a while. I will be using this while speed skating on the outdoor oval in Lake Placid. However, it's been very cold here in North Texas and I 've been ice skating a lot, where the rinks are kept extremely cold. This jacket is like wearing a hug. It is super cozy warm. Great jacket, lightweight and very warm. I use it for snowboarding as an under layer for my shell and casually around town. Seems to be shedding a few feathers, but not too much concern at this point. The BEST part about this is it does not hold odors like polyester. I can wear this jacket for weeks without concern. Similar Patagonia jackets you wear once and they are basically ruined. Personally, I think the `` light '' version is better for technical wear, while the `` regular '' is cuter and more fashion- forward.

I am an adventure supervisor at a therapeutic boarding school in Northwest Montana, and I use this jacket to lead hiking, biking, and climbing trips in cool temperatures. I also took this jacket camping with me in Glacier National Park when the temperatures got down into the teens, so I was able to compare its warmth to some of my other jackets. Although it loses some of its warmth without a hood, it kept me surprisingly warm in those low temps. Overall, however, I found that the biggest positive to this jacket is the durable material! The stretchdown feels more resistant to nicks and tearing, and I can see this jacket lasting a long time. It's also a plus for me that the down is RDS certified-- yay for animal welfare! I would not bring this as my only puffy jacket when backpacking because I would need the extra warmth that a hood brings. However, this layer would be really great for climbing in moderately cool temperatures because of how durable the material would be on the rock, or as a bonus layer to stuff in a pack for a little extra warmth. I gave this jacket four stars, mostly because of the fit. I am 5' 5 '', 120lbs, and I ordered a small because I normally like to layer underneath my puffy jackets. However, a small is too big on me even with layers underneath, and it also has a boxy fit around the shoulders. I would order an XS next time for sure!

[ As far as the jacket goes I love it so far. Great fit. I ’ m 5 ’ 10, 215 pounds very active. I fit in a large perfect. Fits the shoulders and arms well which is where most jackets fail me. Body fits nice but is not too tight. In regards to customer service, I had to exchange for a different size. The customer chat was initially very unhelpful and unpleasant but ended up processing the exchange.

This is my second Ghost Whisperer jacket. My first one is about six years old and is still in great shape, save for a couple places where the stitching is coming undone( I might talk to warranty about that...). I also have a StretchDown jacket, but I prefer the Ghost Whisperer, as it provides better protection against the wind. I can layer the Ghost Whisperer with a light merino wool sweater and be plenty warm in temperatures well below freezing. It's also perfect for traveling since it's so light and warm. I love that I can stuff it into its own pocket and use it as a pillow on the airplane. It was a no- brainer to take it with on a three week trip to Ireland and France in the early shoulder season. I would buy again in a heartbeat.

I have used the Ghost Whisper Jacket for about 2 years underneath a different coat which is The North Face Summit 3 The coat fits me a little snug with a shirt over a T shirt but it works fine with just a t shirt which has held up with 2 years of use fine. I get Cold easily and do not walk fast due to diabetic neuropathy. Mainly the use of jacket is for around town or if a building is too cold. On hikes just today I used it underneath the North Face Summit 3 when it was 55 degrees along with a T shirt since I stand a lot when I am on hikes.. I had no problems with snugness Some of the time I just stood and looked at nature which would make a person more sensitive to cold. Concerning the Mountain Hardware 2 series I can not make a comparison. Overall the Mountain Hardware Ghost Whisper Jacket has worked fine underneath my North Face size small jacket. Since I am a a size small person the Mountain Hardware Ghost Jacket is a size small. I am five foot 7 inches and weigh 170 to 175 pounds. I highly recommend the Mountain Hardware Ghost 2 series Jacket.
