I 've been purchasing Camelbak packs going on 16 years and now have at least one designated to each activity I do; running, MTB, Cycling, Hiking, and working outside. I would say I still love the fit and durability of each different style I have( the one I use for working outside is the first Rogue I purchased in 2008), and I 'm really happy Camelbak finally upgraded the bite valve design, but the added magnetic clip placement still needs a more permanent home to affix to on the shoulder strap or chest strap, or something. When the only place to affix it to is somewhere along the adjustable side of the chest strap it's just never in a constant place to mindlessly clip it back in. Otherwise, I 'm still a loyal and satisfied user.

I purchased this last spring for my motorcycle trip from Spring Branch, TX up to the Arctic Circle in Alaska and back. It performed flawlessly for the whole 31 days and 11, 525 miles on the back of my MoskoMoto panniers. Such a good bag, 100 oz of water is 4x my large yeti and the bag still has so much room I fit in an additional shoulder bag, snacks, some accessories and some green, and still had the half of the largest pouch not taken up by the water pouch. Bag is comfortable and stylish. Reservoir for water is incredibly well thought out and comes apart easily and in enough places that making sure the pack is dry after use is a breeze. Nice quality straps, small footprint and breathable materials means your back isn ’ t burning up. Trying to get back to consistent running and going longer distances. I previously had another brand ’s vest that I only used collapsible water bottles in the front pockets and never used a bladder. Always had comfort issues with it though and overall felt like I could never it to fit comfortably. For this vest though, I have run three 10 mile+ runs and find this one very comfortable. I was easily able to adjust this to fit correctly. I find the bladder easy to use and has been good to use with Tailwind Nutrition as my fuel of choice. I like the available storage as well and enjoy having a space for my phone. There is also so much more storage that I could utilize and have barely scratched the surface of. I did carry sunglasses with me on a run and was nice to have them with me even though I didn ’ t ultimately use them. Definitely happy with this purchase and look forward to more long runs with it.

I took this pack on a trip to California where I had to pack light, but needed to bring my work laptop and knew I 'd be doing some hiking. It was the perfect pack for the job! It was great for travel and fit everything I needed for a plane ride and easily transitioned to a hike once I got to my destination. It really has the perfect amount of pockets- I love the front `` shove it '' pocket and the interior mesh pocket to keep thing organized. It also has a small pocket on the inside for its rain cover( which is included!) which came in handy while I was on my trip! My favorite feature of the pack is the included water bladder with magnetic connection points that keeps the hydration hose secured to the backpack strap. I 've never had a pack/bladder with this and I 'm obsessed. This pack has very intentional and thoughtful features and I 'm stoked to have it in my gear arsenal. Completed the Everest Base Camp Trek a few weeks ago. Out of 8 people in our group there were 5 of us wearing Osprey packs. I had the Scarab 30 and loved it. We hiked in sun and rain, hot and cold, through wood and over rock fields. This pack was on my back every day every step of the way. The bladder was full with an extra bottle of water on the side at the waist belt and the bag was full with essentials for weather swap outs and everything i needed to get from A to B and survive without my big duffel. It never chafed my shoulders or waist, felt great on my back and did n't sweat me up by allowing air to flow around it. It was exactly the right choice. The design of the bladder makes it very easy to fill and shove back in its home. the only thing i would change or add would be a cover over the drinking port. We were dropping our packs in a lot of places, on trails in Tea houses, coffee houses and different temples, everywhere and the drinking port always ended up on the ground. Would of been nice to have some sort of cover.

Great for the price. I 'm a hydration pack fanatic because I use them several times a week. This one is quite good. The good: Really well made and durable materials. It is a really versatile hydration pack that can be used for hiking, cycling, etc. It has some internal pockets in the main compartment that really distributes your stuff and the weight well and keeps the pack well balanced. The back pads are nice and plush. The straps are stout. The external stuff pockets on the side/front are very useful. I like how the waist straps tuck away if you are not using them. Trekking pole straps/compression straps are nice. The pack is really streamlined, fits snug against the body, and is very stable for activity. The stuff that can be improved: The hydration bladder and bite valve are not the best, but they do function decent and for the price it is not a big deal. It would be nice to have some sort of velcro on the large external stuff pocket just to secure your stuff a little.

I liked my old one so much that I 'm replacing it with the same pack after a mouse chewed it up looking for a granola bar that was left in it during the off season. There is a surprisingly large amount of space. I can carry both a small first aid kit for me( including a SAM splint) and the bike( extra tube, tools, and CO2 cartridges) in this pack. I combine this pack with a water bottle on the bike for longer rides, and I have n't found myself lacking water on a ride yet( sub 20 mile mtb rides.) Really comfortable on rides, and feels secure.

[ This pack was a long day hike upgrade for me and I chose it for 2 reasons. First was the Airspeed suspension which definitely keeps your back cool. Second was longer torso length. Along with all of the compression straps this a very comfortable and balanced pack. The stuff it pocket was an afterthought but is actually very handy. Extremely pleased with this purchase!

` I am a 50 year old occasional hiker who has n't had a new pack since college. Just spent 3 days hiking in the Catskills with this pack on my back for 7- 8 hours a day and I love it. Plenty of space and super comfortable. I barely noticed I was even carrying a pack, had zero shoulder or back strain, and like the frame that allows for some airflow through the back area- a big plus hiking in 80+ degree weather. Never had to use the internal rainfly, but that was definitely a selling point for me. Highly recommend!

The Hikelite 18 is incredible for travel, day hikes, daily commuting via bike, and more. It fits under an airplane seat, has hydration bladder capability for day hikes, includes a chest and waist strap to secure the bag to you when biking, and it is the perfect size. Fits my Apple M2 16 ''( someone wrote it does n't fit their 14 '' laptop) with no need for sleeve as it is protected by the wire frame.... plus small photography drone+ controller+ 3 batteries in a Solo rectangular gear pack( looks like softside lunch box), Hikelite is great for day- trekking photo shoots. As an ultralight Backpacker, I leave my honest review here. First, I have to say that I was excited when I got this backpack; the fabrics and the implementation are outstanding excellent job Black Diamond. The fast backpack idea with those extra shoulder straps makes this backpack ideal. Not only is this one waterproof or almost, but it is merely one of the best backpacks I ever owned. Believe it or not, I have tried several UL backpacks in my career. The only downside I see is that the shoulder pocket with the zipper is too tiny to hold a standard- sized cell phone comfortably. If I had a bigger one, I could guarantee it would never fit inside.

I have n't used this pack but it looks great, with excellent materials, pockets and overall construction. It also seems to tick most boxes for ultra runners who may be doing multi- day events requiring a lot of mandatory gear. Some runners may question the design choice of having only one side of the vest strap capable of carrying a 500ml soft flask. Perhaps this is the preferred option for fastpacking but having capacity for two soft flasks in addition to two zippered pockets on either side like the BD Distance 15 pack would be ideal, at least for ultra runners.

[ The new updated Osprey Rook 65 Performs outstanding. It caries the load very well. While I used it on a winter day hike with only 25 lbs in it I feel it will comfortably carry about 35- 40 lbs. The new Rook series packs 50 and 65 liter are well worth the price they retail for. If you are a well seasoned hiker or a beginner you ca n't go wrong with the Osprey Rook. I imagine the Women's Renn will preform as well.

The description does n't do this bag justice. The roll closer is easy and looks clean and nice. The zipper that allows access to the main area is great; it will enable so much space for packing what you need into the bag. The laptop sleeve is really deep, so it holds the laptop stable. The ability to use the compression straps is awesome and allows the pack shape to look so much cleaner when packed with daily needs, it also keeps you feeling like your stuff is n't being moved around when you 're on the go. The harness and Hipbelt are comfortable and easy to adjust. 10/10 for this bag!

I have two other Osprey packs and love the women- specific features. I bought this Sirrus for casual hiking and walking to town for groceries and other supplies. I got the right fit after watching a Youtube that showed that the hipbelt pad in front should be centered over the pelvic bone- not above it as I had incorrectly done. The torso adjustment `` ladder '' is a nice feature. I am 5' 7 '' and measured my torso at 15. 6 '', and found the second shortest adjustment to work the best at keeping the shoulder straps from riding up. This is really a comfortable and well fitting pack for me.

[ I wasted no time using this pack on my recent hikes. It ’s super lightweight, easy to adjust, extremely roomy, comfortable to wear and the color is a unique beautiful orange/( sienna/paprika). The lumbar pad was highly effective in redistributing weight. Not major but my only gripe is that the air contact back system didn ’ t do the best job at minimizing sweat and dampness. I realize it ’s been a very hot& humid summer so I look forward to testing out that feature in cooler weather conditions during an upcoming fall hike. Happy adventures all!

[ I live in Colorado and my wife and I spend a lot of time in the backcountry. My wife and I have used several bags and this is now my wife ’s favorite for backpack camping. I took this bag out for three days and found even though it says it ’s made for a woman, I found it very comfortable and had no problems with it. The first thing I noticed is it ’s lightweight for the size. The ripstock fabric has held up very well and I haven ’ t had any tears or pulls. It ’s light but very durable. My wife said she thought it was incredibly comfortable for her. The lumber support and and the piece that goes around your waist is nice light support. We both loved the back system as it is GREAT if you sweat a lot. It had very good ventilation and helps keep you cool with the Air Spacer mesh. This bag has gear loops I attached my GPS too on the front and my wife and I both loved the mesh pockets on the hip. The pockets are easy to access and secure. Overall my wife and I both agree this is a fantastic, quality bag that is great for the backcountry. You get a lightweight bag with great features to make your long treks more enjoyable.

[ Bought this to replace a leaky bladder in my running pack made by another company. It does not leak! The zipper feature is nice; it clicks once it's fully closed. There is some structure so you can open the bladder with one hand, which makes filling it easier. It barely fits inside my pack, but it fits, phew.
