The Rain cover was a game changer. ... I haven ’ t put it to the test in the field yet, but so far this Osprey pack rain cover is what I was

[ Worked well during my hike when it was snowing. Kept the bag dry

[ The Rain cover was a game changer. I put it on my backpack mostly for extra security and to keep my backpack clean while it was tossed in plane and bus luggage holds. Amazingly the cover is still intact and my backpack is still clean.

[ I have n't used it yet, full disclosure, since it did n't rain much during our climbing trip. However, I did cover my new Osprey Zealot 45L climbing pack to make sure this cover fits. The cover packs up really nicely in it's own pouch; the pouch, in turn, is sewn onto the raincover, so you won 'd lose it, which is a nice touch. There was a little looseness, which is n't a big deal. In fact, I think I might be able to drape a 50- 70m climbing rope outside and still squeeze it in the cover, if I really was in a pinch, so that is a plus. Overall, solid and I hope I never have to use it( but certainly great to have, just in case!).

[ I bought this particular rain cover because of the color. It matches my gray backpack even though it is an older model. The new version is a bright yellow, which I did not care for.

Part Time Packer
[ I purchased this cover for as a replacement for the old one that I used on my 1997 Osprey Xenith Pro( XL). It ’s way better than the original! It fits better, covers more of the pack, and packs up smaller when not being used. If you need one for your pack, it runs true to size and the elastic allows it to fit snuggly no matter what you ’ re carrying.

[ I bought this about a month ago for a wilderness fishing trip with my boys. Spent 4 nights in the bush, 3 days of rain, one tornado near miss. Slept in my ENO hammock under this rain fly and never got wet. My boys slept in high tech tents and while the tents kept the rain out from above some gear did get wet from water intrusion from below. Excellent performance in rain and high wind. Highly recommended.

[ I bought two for my son and grandson. The kept them dry in a pounding Adirondack rain storm while on a canoe trip. Goes up easily and the Velcro keepers on the corners and peaks are handy for containing the cordage. Extended out over the end of two generic hammocks and kept them dry.

[ The rainfly was easy to set up. It started raining while I was setting it up, and my hammock stayed dry. It rained through the night as well, but I did n't even notice until I woke up in the morning. I used tautline hitches instead of the built- in `` LineLoc adjustors '' to tighten the guylines because I did n't realize what those adjustors were.

[ Used this for my hammock on a bike packing trip. I really enjoyed the ability to determine the height of the rain fly depending on the conditions. It was nice to bring it closer to me on cooler night!

Bought to go camping. Worked perfect for the few sprinkles we got, easy to put up, could have used an extra batch of steaks for tie downs but for next time.

[ I keep a hammock and this rain fly in my fishing pack. I ended up getting caught in a down pour and decided to just spend the night two weeks ago since the fishing was so great at this high mountain lake. The winds were over 30 mph and I was completely dry. Kind of cold because I didn ’ t have a sleeping bag but it worked!

This is a great, ultra lightweight tent! Lots of headroom inside( for what it is) and I particularly appreciate the vertical space offered in the tent corners. Many tents immediately slope inward leaving little room in the corners, but this one offers a bit of vertical room before the tent wall slopes in.

Super piece of engineering. So light, and feels cosy inside. Really 2 people max, but really well made.
