Using this mouthguard for Brazilian Jiu- Jitsu, so take that as you may. Fitting the mouthguard was a bit of a trial and error. The instructions are clear, but more than likely you wo n't get it on the first try- do n't feel discouraged, this mouthguard is super easy to remold and after a few tries, you will find that this mouthguard will mold EXCELLENTLY to your teeth, as if it were completely custom! Super easy to breathe and talk, drink water, all the necessities! I would n't recommend this mouthguard for any super high contact sports like boxing or Muay Thai, where you 'll be catching hey- makers or head kicks, but this is perfect for team sports and lower impact like wrestling and of course, Jiu Jitsu!

We followed the directions as best as we could and my son could n't be happier and he says it's really comfortable. This guard fits tighter than the regular braces mouthguard. You have to boil it like a non braces mouthguard when you first get it and you have to boil it again after your teeth move and you feel like it does n't fit right. I like it better than the regular braces mouthguard even though its more work. It does n't move as much when its in because your teeth and braces are kind of stuck up in it so its easier to talk too.

This is a serious mouthguard that will give you the best protection. It is very solid and totally covers up your braces when you bite down. The bad part is it's a little hard to breath through so if you are doing a running sport you might not like it. My brother uses the other double braces guard and he can breath ok with it. I still give it 5 stars because if you need the ultimate guard then this is it.

This is the second mouth guard that I 've purchased for my son, who plays lacrosse. Having just spend thousands on braces, I wanted more protection that is offered by the$ 3 mouth guards that have to be boiled to fit. The first mouth guard I purchased offered excellent protection, but made it almost impossible for him to speak with other players and also made it difficult to breathe. I was n't surprised when he `` lost '' it, just irritated because he told me on the way to his game. I dropped him off, made a fast dash to the nearest Dick's sporting goods store and spoke with the person covering the lacrosse section of the store. He recommended the Shock Doctor Adult Ultra 2 mouth guard and it is fantastic. It provides excellent protection and makes it easy for my son to not only breathe comfortably while playing, but also to clearly communicate with his team members. I highly recommend it.
