[ Im not new to the Danner brand and this is one of thr better fitting examples they have produced. I especially enjoy the the amount of room in the toebox area. A lot of Danner boots/shoes in Regular Width, have become to narrow and the wide width, is simply to wide for me. Typical Danner quality here with just a day of Air travel and walking through airports to get a good break in. They are a stable low top with very little side to side rolling. I am a sz 11 and there is just a little bit of heal slip if I dont tighten the laces up tightly. Good looking shoe too, as I had several compliments in Charlotte and Ohare airports

It is fairly stiff( good support) and the rubber is substantial and hard. It is n't super light or the most cushioned shoe. Definitely not for trail running of any kind. There are better shoes for light, fast, and cushiony( see Salomon Speedcross). I wanted these for short hikes on rough terrain or as a simple walkaround shoe or working in the yard. If you do n't want full leather or something similar but a little lighter and breathable check out the Oboz Firebrand.

I find these very comfortable, fairly light, and excellent fit for those with wide feet. I have been happy with durability of the Trail so I 'm assuming that will be the case with these as well. About the only quirk is the tongue and lacing- it did take me some trial and error to get the right placement of tongue under the laces. Other reviewers have mentioned it so it's real, but in my opinion it just takes a little tweaking to find the right lace tension& tongue placement.

As someone with a lot of foot problems, finding shoes that are comfortable, supportive, and that look nice had been a challenge. After trying similar LL Bean and Timberland shoes, I finally got the Moab 3 from Merrell. After 4 years of daily use and frequent outdoors activity including outings with my son's scout troop, the upper started to crack where my foot flexes. The sole and lining was still in good condition with reasonable wear. With a rainy camping trip looming, I got the replacement pair and have been just as happy with the new shoes as I had been with the old ones. I love Merrell Moab ’s, wear them every day and have 5 pair. But as hot as this summer has been, I wanted a pair of lighter weight shoes. I started with Merrell styles, but had no luck getting a good fit for my problem feet—a neuroma and plantar fasciitis on one foot and a bunion on the other. I also tried styles from all the highly rated shoes for walking, including those with gel insoles. They all bothered my neuroma, and the gels were so bouncy they made me feel a little unsteady on my feet. So I went back to Merrell and tried the speed solo, ordered up a half size, and finally found my fit! When I took them out of the box, I thought that they looked liked they were made of plastic. If they are made of leather the quality seemed very low. Most of the plastic quality made them very stiff. I tried walking around the house in them to see if they would soften up but the sides rubbed against my ankles. I didn ’ t think that would improve so I packed them up and returned them.

[ A well constructed hiking boot. The out- of- box fit was snug, but comfortable, and should improve with use. The Vibram outsoles are a bit stiff but provide excellent traction on rocky terrain typical in Mid State PA. Overall the Kailash Trek GTX is a 5 star rated boot

This is my forth pair of these shoes. I wear them every day( whether I 'm going hiking or going to work) and they me last 4- 5 years. I like them because they 're very comfortable and the GORE- TEX keeps my feet dry. They also get a great grip on the trail and protect my feet from all manner of trail hazards. On the negative side, the sole separates from the shoe after a few years. It ’s possible to glue the sole back on, but for what these cost, the soles shouldn ’ t come unglued.

[ The boots are amazingly comfortable. I have worn them on camping trips with some water crossings, hiking, general outdoor activities, and also some around the house work. Once I figured out how to tie them to fit my foot better I could n't hardly tell I had them on. They breathe well and my feet feel fresh and dry. I also wear wool socks which add to that. That traction is there for me in everything I 've put them through. I believe I 've found my new favorite boots.

[ I used to be a loyal fan of New Balance 940s, and then they got discontinued. I bought a couple online before they all disappeared, and then I finally wore them all out. I could n't find any other shoe in New Balance, Asics, Brooks that had similar stability, arch support and cushioning. It was disconcerting. I had a total knee replacement a few years ago, so all these new foam sneakers that allow the back/heel of the shoe to rotate laterally are not good for me. I finally decided I had to come up with a new approach to finding a sneaker. I saw these sneakers and thought, hey! If this is for trail running, then it's got to be made with better stability. I gave it a shot and was so pleasantly surprised! These sneaks have good arch support and have cushion that seems resilient vs. the cheap foam in a lot of new sneakers that just compress. There is good stability to prevent your foot from rotating side to side in the heel. I walk my dog at a fast pace 2x per day every day for about 30 minutes each, so I put on miles pretty quickly. Seems to be holding up pretty well! The logo is a bit large for my taste, but that's just cosmetic. The only thing that's a little odd is the material, which seems like maybe it's less breathable in the toe box area vs. the average sneaker. However, I ca n't really tell because it's still cold out, so when it gets warmer I 'll have a better idea of that. Overall, pleasantly surprised and very happy to put them on my feet every day!

[ Well- made and comfortable with great cushioning. Easy to wear all day. True to size for me. Love everything about these shoes for various activities. I even wear them if im just going to be home. Had knee repair surgery after a broken kneecap and was looking for shoes that are easy on an altered gait. These are perfect.

I climb Camelback Mountain in Phoenix, Arizona every day. It's 5- miles, 2, 400' of granite boulders with no soft places, no dirt, only sharp- edged rocks to tear up your boots. The mountain has torn up many lesser shoes and shredded all competitors. I 've hiked with XA Pro 3D for ten years and recently switched to the Ultra 360( same shoe, better padding). Everyone I 've recommended them to has stuck with them. Nothing comes close! I highly recommend these for tough terrain.( They 'll probably do great at easy terrain too, but I do n't go there.)

Comfortable out box; went with a size larger based in reviews, might stay with normal size next time. Toe box is wider which is what I was looking for. I walk on greenway paths so asphalt. Have been looking for a Merrell that has tread more for that than trails as I have found trail tread wears out faster. Overall love it!

Merrill is always true to size& comfortable from the first wear.( Size 7 1/2 medium has a good arch& space in the front for my bunions.) Bravada 2 Charcoal is a neutral color, and lightweight for summer wear& travel.

Love my pair of Bravadas. They are super comfortable, light, and great for walking the dog, working out, and short hikes. I really like that the tongue is sewn in and doesn ’ t move around, it makes it feel like more of a slip- on. And it ’s sturdy enough around my bad ankles without being super stiff. They ’ ve lasted me about a year and a half with tons of use in the spring through fall( they aren ’ t great for wet or cold weather). My dog is also a fan and likes to steal and chew on them, but they have survived unscathed. The time has come to where the traction is wearing off though, so I ’ m eyeing a new pair.
