I have been buying the breeze boot for about 20 years now. I would agree that the laces need to be a bit longer so you can double tie them. On zappos web site they advertise that the 7742 has gore tex lining and vibram soles, you might want to check on that one. Other than that the boots are really comfortable.

I 've been through many iterations of the Vasque Breeze, for hiking, search/rescue, and everyday wear. I 'm now looking for a new pair of the 7742, but I see much to my disappointment that the outer sole is no longer Vibram. The part number is the same, but the sole is n't. I wo n't bet my life on anything other than Vibram, so that's the end of the Breeze for me. RIP.

I sincerely hope that Vasque does n't discontinue the Breeze LT GTX. I 've had a pair of clunkier Vasque's and a pair of Merrell's and these outperform both hands down. I 've worn these in the winter with a thicker pair of socks and in the summer with a thinner pair of socks over the last year of having them and they hold up great in both( although not designed as a winter/snow boot). Hiking summers in Boise desert heat is hard, and these have not once given me a blister, been uncomfortable, or made me question my footing. Everything about them is phenomenal! I recommend them to all of my friends and will continue to buy more pairs. Now I just want more color options please!:)

I bought these for a photography trip to Iceland. As with all my Vasque boots, they fit right out of the box. I hiked on rocky hills and through streams and wet sand beaches and they were a dream. [ I 've only done about 20 miles in these boots so far, but am VERY happy with them! I read reviews all over the place and decided to follow the advice of ordering a half size up, I will always have to wear a thick sock with them but feel it was still the right way to go. After reading the reviews I was a little concerned about the `` strange arch support '' mentioned by many. I was worried it was going to be similar to Chacos, which I cant wear because of the large arch support, however it's not like that at all and gives more support under your heal( not sure how to best explain this(:) and I find it very comfortable. These seemed pretty stiff at first but after one 5 mile hike they loosened up and feel very similar to a tennis shoe. I do have to mention that the heal box is oddly large, this does n't seem to be an issue for me, but thought I would mention it incase it would be helpful to someone else. All in all I would say if your on the fence about these you should just go for it!

First, I ’ d like to share how amazing Vasque ’s customer service is. I initially purchased a differed boot that wasn ’ t hardy enough for the type of hiking I do- Vasque allowed me to return the boot immediately! So instead of going back to the brand I was with before( Scarpa) I decided to stick with Vasque and purchased this boot with my refund money. I am so glad I did. These boots really hold up with all the things the white mtns throw at you with little break in needed. I did need to loosely lace the boots and insert a toe box stretcher for my own needs but the boot has now confirmed to my foot. I fully submerged both feet by mistake several times. My feet were kept dry and warm. I felt my ankles were supported and my boots got more comfortable as my hike went on. I think I used the first 10 miles of the boot to break it in- and I just completed a 20 mile, 4 4000k peak hike in the whites. Zero blisters or hot points on my feet. Thank you vasque!!!

I have hypermobile joints, arthritis in my feet, bunions, and roll my ankles a lot; I ’ ve been on the hunt for the perfect shoe for years so that I could not be in pain every time I walk and this is it! Fantastic arch support( especially with a memory foam Redwing insole), great ankle support( no more rolling ankles), and the fit and construction are perfect. [ Have the Trail 2650 in wide size and needed new heavier boots. Since the Trail fit me well I tried the Panorama and am happy so far- I did 18k steps in one day without any break- in and had no issues. I find these very comfortable, fairly light, and excellent fit for those with wide feet. I have been happy with durability of the Trail so I 'm assuming that will be the case with these as well. About the only quirk is the tongue and lacing- it did take me some trial and error to get the right placement of tongue under the laces. Other reviewers have mentioned it so it's real, but in my opinion it just takes a little tweaking to find the right lace tension& tongue placement.

It is like walking on clouds. Rugged- soled clouds, but clouds, nonetheless. They offer a decent amount of side structure without cramping your foot, and have great mid- ankle support. The waterproofing is effective, but as happens with such boots, your feet can get sweaty in warmer temps, so plan accordingly. All around, this is a great boot for light- to medium- duty hiking. Plus, with the funky styling and colors, you will look much cooler than your peers with the tired- looking traditional boots. Feel free to make fun of them for their choices.

I recently bought these shoes for a hiking trip in Maine. I briefly broke them in before the trip and had no issues with them while hiking, they are super comfortable and warm! I walked 40+ miles through various rocky trails and my feet felt supported and never slipped. I highly recommend these, however, they may be a bit hot for summer or warmer climates. I do wish they offered better colors as well. I would buy again!!

Amazingly comfortable. They make my feet feel loved. They grip well enough that I can step on slimy rocks without slipping. Only downside is they 're a bit warm for midsummer in the sun, but I think that's just the tradeoff for them being cozy in the snow as well as surprisingly waterproof- I 've dunked them two inches deep in streams and the water sheeted right off. My only request is to please bring these back in men's wide sizes- my husband has heard me talk about how great these are but ca n't find a pair in his size!

[ When you find a pair that fits you as if it was made for you. You stick with them. Usually, brands tweak things over the years so when you need a new paired, you ’ re screwed! These are a classic. The first pair I bought myself in 2014, side by side with their replacement that just arrived today. Pulled them out of the box and it was like meeting an old friend that hasn ’ t changed a bit. The fit and feel, perfection. Now, I literally hiked the soles off of the old pair. The toes cracked. Laces frayed but original. Should I have replaced them awhile ago- I did with the charcoal version. But kept these in my closet as a remembrance of my first pair of hikers that took me through the PCT AT. I want to start by saying that I have been a loyal follower and buyer of Salomon boots for as long as I can remember. For at least the past ten years, I have worn them every single day. I replace my boots annually—not because they wear out or break down, but simply because I love the feel of new boots. In fact, I still have all of my previous pairs, except my very first ones( which I should have kept as well). Each pair continues to serve me in different ways. When I first purchase a new pair, they become my work boots, while the older ones transition into hiking boots, allowing them time to break in naturally. After about six months, I begin using the newer boots for hiking, always carrying an extra pair in my pack in case I need to swap them out—usually due to an issue like water getting inside. Let me emphasize that under normal conditions, these boots do not get wet inside. However, if fully submerged underwater—which I have done on several occasions—they will absorb moisture. When this happens, I hang the wet boot on the outside of my pack to dry while I continue my journey. I can confidently say that Salomon makes outstanding boots. They have been an essential part of my adventures, and I highly recommend them. Great boots, great company, and great experiences with Salomon!

[ I have hiked 1000's of miles on Asolo boots over the years and had many models. This one runs a tad bigger ue I have always been a 10 in the boot line so I would say it fits more like a 10. 5 but comfortable. Very rigid sole, which I look for in a boot and slightly on the heavier side, which does n't bother me. I did see where someone complained about a stitching clustster were the toungue is sewn together amd that was rather uncomfortable as it sat directly beneath one of the lace locks. I took a pair of flat nose pliers to the material wad.. for lack of a better term.. lol and worked it over a bit w the pliers squeezing and turning wo tearing it! So do n't go to crazy just cruah it down and it solved that problem rather easily. Great boot. Fit is larger. Crush the extra material to soften it.

Went on 4 hikes of 2+ hours over somewhat rocky terrain with no soreness whatsoever; excellent traction both on smooth boulders and loose, sandy soil. [ I had a pair of Newton Ridge 2 last year that held up very well, except for the tread wearing down to almost nothing, and water would trickle in after they had aged a few months. Moving into the Newton Wander has felt like a big step up. Cosmetically they look much nicer, and have a sleek look. They clean up very nicely too. I work in a lot of slick, and icy terrain so my biggest selling point is traction and durability. I have slipped around here and there wearing these, so that's why I have to dock one star. When hiking, working, climbing traction is absolutely key, and these unfortunately could be better in that regard. That aside they keep my feet dry, warm, and comfortable without making my feet sweat, and even after a long day at work my feet are n't aching at the end of it. All in all I do recommend these boots, but to advise caution on overly slick surfaces.

[ I have found these boots to be extremely comfortable and very supportive. I normally add my own insoles to all boots but didn ’ t need to with these. They are true to size and very well made. I have severe plantar fasciitis and have to switch shoes on the regular. These are part of my rotation and have been great. I like the traction, support and waterproof features. I do find it a bit stiff but not enough to complain about it they need broke in. The fit is roomy not narrow like other brands and true to Keens shape with a wider area by the ball of the foot. Stability is great. The color is perfect love the green ones matches my Oregon Ducks gear.

I bought my first pair of Targhee II mid boots in 2012, and have bought at least 4 more pair over the years. These just fit my feet so well. When the Targhee III came out I tried them, but Keen had changed the last and they did n't agree with my feet. I was so thankful that Keen kept the II version. Although, color choices were no longer updated each year. When I saw the Leave no Trace collaboration color I had to have them. These are the most comfortable Targhee IIs I 've had. The cushion and arch support are great for my feet as I do n't need a high, hard arch. The boot collar is soft and molded to my ankle in short order. The tongue is padded, yet soft and pliable- not stiff and irritating. I 'm seriously thinking about ordering another pair!

This has been a great boot, my go to for wide feet. It is a very tough boot that works well for day hikes or overnights. It has great support and foot protection yet remains light and faily flexible. I have had no issues with the waterproofing either, works great. Highly recommend them.
