The Wedding Ring trolled with a Berkley Red Wiggler Gulp worm for a tail is a killer. Troll it behind a christmas tree or lake troll rig about three feet and I promise you will catch trout when no one else is. You can also tip it with a couple of salmon eggs. We do n't get on the water without them.

I live in the Pacific Northwest and I 've found the Mack's wedding Ring series of lures to be some of the most consistent lures for catching trout in both our streams spinning and in our mountain lakes while trolling. I 've caught 14 ''- 28 '' trout and steelhead using this lure alone or with nightcrawlers or eggs on the hook. They 're on of my Go- To lures.

Frequently Asked Questions For Macks Lure Wedding Rings

Wedding ring lures are designed to attract a variety of fish species by mimicking the movement and appearance of prey. Their unique spinning action creates vibrations in the water, which can entice fish to strike. Additionally, they often feature bright colors and reflective materials that enhance visibility, making them effective in different water conditions.

Wedding ring lures are versatile and can be used in various fishing environments, including freshwater and saltwater. They are particularly effective for targeting species such as trout, bass, and panfish. Anglers often use them in lakes, rivers, and streams, especially during the spring and summer months when fish are more active.

Selecting the right size wedding ring lure depends on the type of fish you are targeting and the fishing conditions. Smaller lures are generally better for panfish and smaller trout, while larger sizes can attract bigger species like bass. It's also important to consider the water clarity and depth, as these factors can influence fish behavior and lure effectiveness.

Wedding ring lures are typically made from durable materials that can withstand the rigors of fishing. Common components include metal for the spinner blades, which provide flash and vibration, and high-quality plastics for the body and skirts. These materials are designed to be lightweight yet robust, ensuring they perform well in various fishing conditions.

Yes, wedding ring lures can be effective in a range of water conditions, including clear, murky, and stained waters. Their bright colors and reflective surfaces help them stand out, making them visible to fish even in low visibility scenarios. Adjusting the retrieve speed and depth can also enhance their effectiveness based on the specific conditions you encounter.

To achieve the best results with wedding ring lures, a steady retrieve is often recommended. Varying the speed can help mimic the movement of prey, which can trigger strikes from fish. Additionally, incorporating pauses or twitches during the retrieve can create an erratic action that may entice fish to bite, especially in areas where fish are actively feeding.
