Love the slimmer sole design on Vaporfly shoes, and these are no different. My old pair( previous model) was a little snug, so I sized up by half a size( from my normal size which, interestingly, does work for the Pegasus), and these fit really well. I bought these with skepticism- Nike usually has good looking shoes, but often underdeliver with quality and functionality. These shoes get the job done. I purchased with the intention of wearing them in the weight room- no desire to run and/or jump in them. They provide excellent ankle support and a wide toe base so that you 're able to get your feet set before every lift. The firm sole provides little toe bend, which I appreciate. I would n't recommend them if you 're wanting to run, they 're heavier and on the clunky side, but think they 're well suited for a lifting or HIIT type shoe.

I appreciate the rear foot stability provided by the deep snug heel counter. I got a great fit by removing the insoles to insert my custom full length foot orthotics. A few triangles of synthetic material seem to be somewhat breathable. The forefoot is flexible and roomy, for the balls of the feet and the toes. Good ground feel and ‘ touch ’. They have a cool classic look. These days in Nike, I am either a Men ’s 11 or 11. 5 Medium. The 11. 5 is just right- with thin socks, like the Nike Spark socks.

Probably the best pair of Nikes I ever had: great look and comfortable. I only would like to point out that, despite being advertised as retro running shoe, this model easily get ripped on the upper sole if you have a wide feet and run/jog a lot( specifically 500 km per month). Great lifting/training shoe. I wasn ’ t initially sold on the design coming from the 8, but once I got them in hand it grew on me immediately. They look great, feel more stable than the 8 ’s, and have a little more toe room. One additional thing to note is that the traction pattern is way better on the 9, as my 8 ’s toe traction ripped after repeatedly doing planks. It seems like that will not happen with the 9.

Alphafly 2 has been my only running shoe, so I ’ m sorry to see it appears to be on the way out. I hope the 3 is just as good. I love the booty fit without the need to deal with a loose tongue. All have worn well unless I try to take them off without undoing the laces, or scrape them on concrete. I wear mine daily. I have narrow feet with exceptionally high arches. Fast. Currently running in Invincible 3s and Infinity Rn4s, I actually bought these just to have. As an older runner with knee arthritis, I need good cushion. I tried these out on a 6 mile treadmill run and wow- these shoes are quick!! There is great support and the sole is perfect no matter where your foot strikes.( I ’ m a mid- forefoot striker). And they are super light; they feel much lighter than my other pairs( above). Looks like I ’ ll be using these for speed work. Kudos again Nike!

Hey if you are looking for comfort and performance out of your shoe. This shoe is one of the best cushion shoes next to the Nike signal d/ms/x. Especially on the treadmill it gave me extra cushion and spring with every step. I run about 3 miles a day on treadmill so it was a wonderful experience even out the box with no break in.

Love the arch support on these and the price point. Although they ’ re not the best looking shoe to wear, this shoe is definitely made to put in work. Minor slippage on my right foot as it ’s slightly smaller than my left foot. Toe cap is not your average Nike narrow one. It is a little wider( assuming it ’s for when your toes expand while running). They fit differently, but if I were to go. 5 smaller my big toe would definitely hit.
