The Nike Ava Edge performed amazingly every chance it got. I would be on a paved or rocky trail and feel like I was walking on pillows. [ This is my first pair of actual bike shoes to be honest. Usually wear flat skate type shoes or trainers. I rode in these shoes twice and I can honestly say that there is a significant difference( maybe because I have n't worn bike specific shoes before). I love the shank in the sole, I feel like i have much better control and balance when hitting the bumpy rooted descents and techy spots. The soles are great for gripping flat pedals. I rode in wet conditions on one ride and never had an issue with slipping. I 'm running CB Stamp 1 pedals. I also found it easier to find my foot position quickly again if I need to take foot off and come back to. They fit true to size based on my recent experiences with shoe buying. Love the BOA laces. I was looking for a flat pedal shoe with BOA laces which appear hard to find. I found 3 different shoes and this pair was about$ 25-$ 50 cheaper, but with the same features. I think these are better looking as well in my opinion. I am extremely happy with them. Overall I 'm pretty pumped to have bought this shoe after 2 rides. [ The shoe was good but to me they ran a little bigger than my classic air force 1s( Normally size 8m and I felt like I could have worn a 7. 5m in these). They have a sturdy sole and super soft suede material on the uppers. The design is amazing as material seems to be suede( so no toe box creasing!) The nike check is embroidered onto the shoe which is a nice touch with that silver stitching. The braided laces were a nice surprise as it ’s normally flat ones. The contrast of having the white midsole sandwiched between the black upper and outsole makes the shoe look super stylish! The suede fabric is super soft along with the braided laces was a nice compliment to the shoe. I wouldn ’ t change anything about the shoe but maybe the sizing as I feel it runs about a half size bigger. Overall I love the suede and the fact that the toe box won ’ t crease and the embroidery of the nike check is super cool.

Even better, I traditionally haven ’ t been able to play in lows as I usually ended up with ankle injuries but NB has figured out the stability I need.
