[ I am in love with this hiking shoe. I have been looking for something that is great for summer, but will be a heavy hitter in the fall and spring and I think I found it. This shoe is very high quality, there are lots of extra details added to make it more rugged and dependable in the outdoors. I found them to be very lightweight, extremely comfortable, and I could hike in them all day with no issues. There was no break- in period, they were good to go from the first time I laced them up. There is a nice extra bit on the ankle which provides some stability, while being soft and not too rigid. It also keeps out debris. The traction is beefy and strong, I had no issues when heading up or down the mountain. I love the chunky look of the shoe, it is very modern and I am very pleased with the design. My feet locked in and I felt very confident and stable while hiking. They fit rue to size and have nice room in the toe box, did not feel cramped at all. I ca n't wait to use these all summer long, I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a hiking sneaker.

The Zegama trail is just an amazing shoe and should 've been an ACG product from the start, I 'm just glad this new version is. I loved the Zegama I and the Zegama trails are a beautiful rendition. Comfort wise, the shoe is amazing. Starting with the upper, the shoe is breathable and the added ankle cuff just hugs perfectly and feels very secure. With socks, I did not notice any hot spots or blisters happening but I can see that occurring if you 're wearing no show( which I assume most trail runners/ hikers will not) with this shoe. The toe box feels wider but not to the point of needing to size down. I noticed that the extra width just makes the shoe more comfortable over uneven terrain. It allows your foot to really spread and remain planted. The midsole feels squishy but is not unstable. If you 've worn any of the recent running shoes by Nike that utilizes Zoom X technology then you know that pillow/ comfort feeling, its surprising at first to have such a springy/pillowy shoe but you get used to it quick. That experience is no different with this trail runner. What really impressed me with the Zegama is the vibram outsole. It just gives you so much traction, it's almost a nuisance to wear on regular concrete. It is n't raining in my city now but I 'm excited to try these out then. Overall, this is a great shoe. Buy with confidence and use them on the trails! 10/10.

Hiked trails, mountains, roads, rivers, explored tidepools you name it. all around a great shoe. I would recommend pairing these with a good insole if you plan to use them for long periods of time as the bottom of the sole( outside the shoe) is very rigid and durable, but at times the stiffness and hardness can be felt on the bottom of your foot.

I had just received my trail glove 8s and absolutely love them! I have owned every generation since Trail Glove 4, which were my favorites. After Gen 5, it seemed Merrell scrapped the wider toe box of the Trail Glove which severely reduced comfort; the Gen 6 and 7s were tighter on the sides, not to mention ugly. These return to the wider toe box, improved arch support, and it seems they reinforced the sides to prevent tearing( which was a problem with the gen 4s and 5s). Not to mention they look nicer than the previous two Gens. I 'm giving these five stars, however time will tell if they are durable. But for now, I 'm satisfied and highly recommend.

This is my second pair. As I get older, I find my feet need more help than they did in the past. I have been walking g 5- 6 miles per day and have recently discovered the barefoot style of shoes. These Trail gloves, while perhaps not as flexible in the sole as some other brands, really feel good on my feet. Plenty of room in the toe box and zero drop adhere to the barefoot style. Also the stack height is just right for me as it protects from sharp rocks. One of my absolute favorite features of these shoes is the burrito tongue. It ’s genius! Typical tongues on other shoes tend to roll to the outside of my feet and become off center, making the. Uncomfortable. Trail Glove 8s do not! Nor do the Vapor Glove 7s. These are a winner for me!

Thank God you got the burrito tongue back. I 've been nursing a couple of TG- 4's in hopes these would come back. I 've had spine fusion and the burrito tongue makes it so much easier to put shoes on. Back flexibility becomes an issue. The denser sole helps a great deal for long days on my feet. Merrell barefoot shoes are all I wear. Keep these.

I think the ppl are ready to pay 150- 200 for a more durable design but then again they have shoes for that very reason. These are sneakers and should be treated as such! These are an awesome sneaker. I love a slip on shoe and these allow you to have a slip on style shoe but still feel nice and snug with their lacing system. The padding around the ankle and heel is SO soft and comfortable. It feels like a tempur- pedic pillow for your foot/ankle. These are great for a trail but also just for normal walks or going around town. My only recommendation for improvement would be that the end of the laces/string bounces around a bit while you are walking. I have just been tucking them back under the laces to fix this but would be nice if there was something on the shoe that could do this for me. Either way, awesome shoe!

The waterproofing is great for the slushy winters we get here in the Midwest. I typically wear a 2E shoe, so I was pleasantly surprised when this fit well as a 10. 5M. Took about a week to break in, and once broken in, feels great. The traction is awesome, no worries about slipping on the ice. The shoe makes it easier than a boot to take on and off, but I 'd use a boot to shovel the driveway or walk through heavy/deep snow. This is good for walking on icy roads and driveways. I 'm a big fan of Keen's pragmatic sense of style. The toe cap means I do n't have fear of stubbing my toe. Also, it's a great feature when you kick the tire wells of your car to get the disgusting snow that accumulates that after driving for a while and you wonder if removing this snow actually makes a difference performance wise.( But once it drops it feels satisfying like you actually fixed the car.)

Love my mid Targhees that I wear hiking and backpacking so I thought that I ’ d give the low Targhee a try for ease of entry everyday use. Same fit as mid. Just happy that I found a shoe that my wide, high instep, high arch feet are comfortable wearing. These are my go to shoes. I just hope that Keen doe not ever discontinue. Reviews say that they run small. They do by 1/2 size. Whole size if wearing heavy hiking socks.

As soon as I received Merrell's email about these several weeks ago, I was intrigued. I really liked their look and style; plus being waterproof was also a benefit. As soon as I saw that they had gone on Merrell's Holiday discount, I grabbed a pair at a great price. I 've been wearing Moabs for years and they have all been exceptional. I did notice that the footbed under the ball of my foot seemed to be a bit thinner than my other Moabs. However, it might simply be that these Moab 3 Luxe have a more aggressive tread. Either way, after a day or so the footbed cradled to my foot, and I 've been delighted. I still do need to get used to the newer thinner slightly flatter laces, and do wish they were a few inches longer.

This shoe is a reinvention of the Moab Smooth from a few years ago that was probably the best boot made by this company. In this new version there have been some upgrades in terms of styling, but as with the original one of the best features is that it's much more water resistant than the traditional boot with the brushed or `` suede '' style material. None of their boots are truly waterproof but this one probably comes the closest so it's my favorite and I 've bought several pairs already.

I ’ ve been breaking in the GTX and find it is exactly what I was looking for in a walking shoe. The zip closure is convenient and allows you to loosen or tighten the shoes “ on the fly ” when you need to make an adjustment. I like these a lot: They have a nice wide/not too wide footprint. They have good ankle support. They have great traction. They are very comfortable. The waterproofing worked well( as it should because they are new). My only complaint is that padding on the ankles makes them pretty wide at the ankle and that tends to catch debris and funnel it down into the shoe... so they are not my pick for places where there is a lot of trail debris.... or perhaps I should have used gaiters. But they are perfect for wet, slippery, or dry trail conditions and casual wear. To me, the picture makes them look like they have green trim: They are shades of grey, not green-- I was pleasantly surprised by that, and I think they are a good- looking pair of shoes.

Good boots. Light weight, good fit for me. I often have difficulty getting a just right fit. The Targhee has been a good boot for me in the past. The Apex version continues that tradition for me. Also have had a couple pairs of low top Zionics. I like them but the Apex fits me a bit better. A shade more toe box room. I would n't mind even a tad more. I will likely replace the Zionics with low top Apex shoes at some point. At 69 my feet are more particular than they once were and Keens keep me comfortably on the trail. Primarily woods trails, big hills and small mountain use. Use these as an everyday shoe also.

This is my second pair of this shoe. Although the soft, synthetic, lightweight material on the top of the shoe does n't wear quite as well as I would have liked, and the shoes look a bit worn after a year, they are quite comfortable. My purchase of another pair demonstrates that I am very happy with them.

I purchased these boots a year ago, the affordable price and the comfortable looks made me want to give them a try. I wore them for a year at a job where I did n't have to stand all day, and recently switched to a job where standing for 12 hours was part of the job. I had to purchase shoes from the workplace there because they require new shoes due to food service related material, and they were sneakers, which after 12 hours, I was very fatigued and terrible foot pain. So I thought, lets try my old Wolverines again. Totally different! No fatigue, no pain! So I 'm here ordering a new pair of the same boots because the job is in food service. Even though they are still in good shape!

I have fairly narrow feet and these fit perfectly and are very comfortable. You ca n't even tell they have a steel toe. My only complaint is the top lace grommet. It has a different type of hook so it is a little difficult to get the lace in it when it is pulled out. I still rate this as Excellent though.

Took my Merrells to a winter trip to Amsterdam, Netherlands, when it was raining heavily, was windy, and cold. The sneakers showed it best performance- one week walking a lot in the city, my feet were dry, warm, comfy( and my knees were comfy too- love the sneaker's bouncy soil!), and never slipped, even on wet cobble stones. Love and recommend the shoes!

I ’ m a size 12 through and through, but these in the same size were tight. The toe box is smaller than normal. Also you need to take into account feet swelling and perhaps thicker socks. I wore these for the first time all day hiking around Grand Cyn Village. I was surprised there was no uncomfortable rubbing or stiffness which is very common with new hiking shoes. I was very impressed!
