I became interested in this style of boot due to me having bad/weak ankles. considering that im very active, i needed the support. i first tried the justin and after the second time of wearing them, quickly realized they were too stiff and too heavy and went to my local supply and tried on the georgia. i 've gone through three pair of which were each resouled atleast once and now about to pull the trigger on a fourth. with each pair, once broken in, feel like a pair of house slippers. as mentioned by others, the lether on the last two pair do seem to be a bit harder than previous. overall, i 'll have to give them a two thumbs up.

These are the most comfortable and easiest to break in boots I ’ ve owned in 50+ years of cowboy boot ownership. I was a total R toe with leather sole devotee until I bought these square toe/ composite sole/ walking heel Durango boots. I wear them every day…. my R toe leather sole boots are now relegated to the back of the closet. No comparison in comfort and fit. I ’ m a Framing Carpenter by trade so I work my boots hard and these are super comfortable and have been waterproof so far as well. I suspect they may start to leak after time, it gets pretty wet here in the Pacific Northwest, but they ’ re roomy enough for me to wear my gortex socks once they do. I ’ m on my second Canadian winter with these. Very warm, very comfortable. They ’ re tall, almost up to my knee, and fit snug around my leg( though not “ tight ”) so as not to have huge gaps where snow can get in. The Vibram Ice sole works — good traction on slippery surfaces. Note, however, these boots are not light, nor are they flexible like cheap boots — there ’ ll be no trips strolling in the mall with these. These are serious boots for serious cold.

I am a mechanic and have had these boots for about two years now. got new insoles about a month ago because the original ones flattened out. my back used to hurt before i got these boots but does not anymore. i ’ ve tried ariats to danners and have never found the one boot that has ever been comfortable to wear for long periods of time until i tried these. the “ non slip ” outsole really help when there is rogue spilled coolant or oil on the ground and the slip on feature helps when you need to climb inside a car in an awkward position really quick and just need to slip off the boots so you don ’ t get the car dirty. i am buying the chelsea version of these to wear casually because these boots are just the best.

I got him half a size up from his regular shoe size with this being his first work boot, knowing that typically with boots it is wise to go a size up to to tightness in material. Love the boot so far. The composite toe is definitely lighter than the steel toe but they are comfortable right from the get go! I made the mistake of getting a half size bigger since my normal size is always a little tight with the thicker socks in the winter so theyre definitely too loose on my feet. I shouldve stuck with my regular size. Oh and the zipper on the back is pretty sweet too. Definitely makes it very easy to slip on!

I think I may have ordered a half size too small, the toes on my right foot feel a little crowded. It could also be that I am used to square toe boots, but all around they seem like a solid set of boots. The tread is good, the stitching seems tough, and the zipper on the back is a nice touch for making the boots easier to get on and off. It 'll be interesting to see how that holds up to flexing though. So far so good!

As you can see, I have lymphedema and ca n't wear a standard boot. I also have a rather high instep meaning I ca n't wear most shoes of this style. I took a chance and tried them on.
