Got these in low top. These are great! Coming off a pair of Moab 2 lows for hiking I feel these are a definite upgrade in looks and comfort. I think Merrell hit the nail on the head with the styling, I actually am tempted just to wear these as a daily without hiking in them, I do n't want to get them dirty! They look fantastic with jeans. Also note that these leather ones are more comfortable than the Speed 2 Goretex version... I tried on that pair and the cut outs for the ankle were higher and rubbed my ankle. There is no rubbing on these, however they are slightly heavier than the Speed 2 goretex. I imagine because this uses leather.

5 DEG
Took them up to Loon Mountain in Lincoln, New Hampshire- Walked all day never an issue

5 Mark S. Hoefs
I have purchased Merrell hiking shoes and boots for years and have never been disappointed. This is the first time I purchased this type of shoe and am extremely happy with the performance thus far. They fit well are light weight and made with quality materials. Time will tell how they perform overall.

5 JY720
After a horrible experience with the migrating foam in the footbed of a previous leather- upper Merrell, this was a gamble... but so far it's been great. Incredible cushioning, great fit. A few unexplainable hard spots on the uppers noticeable only on steep side- hills. Now on to the desert sand.

4 Nessy
Good runner. I knew it would be a little tight before I purchased it because I have wide feet. No concerns.

I had a pair last winter and enjoyed them so much, when I saw an online sale, I bought a pair for next winter. I train dogs to move livestock and take care of livestock all year long. Warm feet in the winter months are important to me. It does n't get ridiculously cold in eastern Washington but we can see single digits on occasion... some winters lots of snow. They do n't seem quite as slippery on ice as well. These boots get the job done.

5 Glen
The fit and appearance are superior! Love the looks and perfect for hiking, disc golf… and going out afterwards.

5 HVAC Pro
Bought these as a work shoe as I work in hvac and am anywhere from rooftops to crawl spaces, outdoors in the woods to city sidewalks. They are very comfortable and keep my feet dry in the rain and breathe enough so I don ’ t sweat like crazy in the hot attics. The sole has enough grip to keep me from slipping on wet banks. I feel like I have some extra spring in my step with the thick cushiony heel on these boots. My only complaint is the elastic cord for the lace eyelets. On the left boot the cord is cut too long inside the shoe and if my foot is pressed up against anything on the outside it hurts. Other than that I ’ m very pleased.

5 Rich
I have been wearing Merrells for several years now because of their fit and durability. This is my first purchase of this particular boot, the Moab Speed 2 Leather Mid Waterproof. It is the most comfortable boot I have ever worn, right out of the box. I love the fit, cushioning, stability and looks.

I got these for work, I work in landscape. I really love the style of these, I get lots of compliments on them. I got the tan leather color which I love. originally went half size bigger like website suggested but it was to big so I went with my true size a 10. I ’ ve worn them the last week so far so good took a day to break them in they were tiny bit stiff but so far I enjoy them. Wore them during the rain as well and was impressed with the waterproofing feet stayed nice and dry.

5 cszpur
I took these on my rafting trip down the GRAND CANYON. I brought them for the side hikes from the river. Which are usually washes with some water crossings. These shoes did so well! They have incredible traction for climbing over big rocks in dry washes, or on slick ledges. The traction is incredible! They were comfortable right off the go and my custom orthotics fit in then since they have a removable foot bed. I loved these boots on the trip! Completely waterproof over the foot but if water gets up to the mid part where the laces are water does come in. I am going to look for a goretex hiking gater for that.

5 ashley__kasper
I purchased these boots for winter hiking in the Sierra Nevada. I originally ordered an 8. 5, but the boot felt a bit tight and ordered a half size larger. These boots are warm and waterproof, which was exactly what I was looking for. The snow levels were n't very high, so the boot height was perfect. I think pair with gaiters, they would suffice in deeper snow. My micro spikes fit well with this design of the boot, as well. Not only are they cute, but they are comfortable out of the box, as well.

They are very comfortable from the start and run true to size. I have worn them quite a bit, although I have not tested them on the trails yet. They offer lots of support throughout the boot to include ankle support. The traction is superior to a lot of other brands. I would recommend these to anyone looking for this style of boot.

5 lsjdmteg
love the boot so comfortable gotem at a great price

Awesome hiking boot. Broke in after a few small hikes. Hiked Mt Whitney in them and experienced snow and water. They stayed completely dry and great traction. A bonus is they are super light.

5 Lance B
I bought the Moab Speed 2Mid Gore Tex hiking shoes two years ago. These shoes are an improvement from my original shoes. I wear them when I walk the dog or go on hikes. They are comfortable and have great stability for my feet. I will continue to buy these hiking boots as my current ones start to break down from wear.

5 TM
Love how lightweight these shoes are. Keeps you buoyant. The olive green color looks great. Check them out!

Purchased for Half Dome hike in September. I wore them for the first time this June. Did short steep 6 mile hike( Table Rock in SC). They were comfortable straight out of the box. No break in period. I stepped in a coulple of puddles and my feet stayed dry. There were wet flat rocks all along my hike and throughout the whole hike i may have slipped 2x, while I saw others slipping constantly. The toe box is very roomy, and ankles felt supported. My feet had no aches after. I 'd highly recommend.

5 Elizabeth
Great shoes- ankle support, lightweight, all weather!

5 Britney
These shoes are AMAZING! I ordered a size 7 and they fit perfectly. My feet are exactly a size 6. 5, so sizing up was a good idea. I hiked a 1. 0+ mile trail in the White River National Forest in the Elk Mountains with these shoes on. They can handle any terrain! I hiked through rough dirt, rocks, and even snow. My feet felt fine after the hike. My only complaint about the shoes is that they ’ re a little hot, but it ’s great when the weather is cold.

5 Gigi
OBSESSED is an understatement for these shoes! I absolutely love these boots, they are so comfortable. I got them for a few hiking trips I had coming up and they did not disappoint. No breaking in necessary ready to wear right out of the box. My old Merrill ’s were bulky and heavy but these are so comfortable and light. Did an 8 to 10 mile hike in them back to back no problem. Definitely recommend will not disappoint. Water proof, kept my feet dry during the rainy season hikes I did. Also the color is super cute, I got the grey ones and they matched with everything.

Nice shoes, pity you 've messed with your sizing and they do n't fit. I 've worn size 13 Merrells for over 20 years as a tour guide but I 've found in the last 5- 10 years, different models have different sizing guidelines. Some models fit some do n't, the model that I 've worn for years no longer fits either.

These shoes are very sturdy yet comfortable. Not one hot spot or blister from day one. Have n't been out in the rain with them yet but hopefully they will be waterproof as advertised. Great tread on them too. Would recommend.

5 Nette
I 'm the type to research for awhile across brands before I buy a new pair of shoes. I wanted something for my 3 week trip that had light snow and rain, yet still good for general all year long hiking. I 'm SO glad I purchased these, they were a lifesaver on my trip! Walked through snow, puddles, rough terrain with confidence. I even wore them during my 24hr travel day- they were comfortable and stylish. Makes me wan na get outside more!

5 Cport
Excellent quality. Worked a treat in winter in Japan. Understated look that doesn ’ t scream hiking shoe.

5 Cait
The color drew me to them but the style and fit made me love them! Waterproof, great cross between a sneaker and a hiking shoe, and true to size.

4 Dee Dee
I love the sneakers. Very comfortable under foot. I don ’ t have a wide foot, the sneakers are wide around the ankle part. I have to wear arch support. I usually remove the original footbed& add my arch support. With these I had to leave in the footbed& add my arch support on top. The shoe isn ’ t too long for my foot either.

I have walked the 500- plus- mile Camino de Santiago Pilgrimage four times, with another one coming up this September. The first year, I used a competitor's shoe and almost had to drop out. More blisters than I could count. Since using this shoe, I 'm blister- free. No break in needed. As soon as I finish one trek, I buy another pair. I continue to use them at home for trail running and at the gym. They must have 1, 000 miles each on them. Please do n't make any major changes as they are perfect now. Thanks,

5 Andy
This hiking 🥾 shoe 👟 is my best fitting of the ones I have. It is very breathable, and has an aggressive Vibram sole. With the bright 🌻 orange 🍊 midsole you are more visible when 🤞 crossing 🚸 the road. In the summer ⛱️ these can in many cases substitute for 6 '' boots.

This is the fourth pair of Moab 3 Mids that I 've bought. I normally wear an 8, but I first went with an 8. 5. Too small, I sent them back, ordered a 9. Too small, sent them back. Ordered a 9. 5, better. I wore them for a short while and they hurt my big toes( I unfortunately inherited my grandmother's ultra- sensitive big toes), and the 9. 5s pushed on them. Ordered a 10, better still, but they still hurt my toes. If you do n't have Nana's toes, these shoes are great!!! They 're cushiony and do well as my work shoes, standing on concrete for 5 hours a night. If only the toe box were higher, like Birkenstocks.

5 Kate Bake
We went to OR last month, where we did some light hiking. These boots were great; they were true to size and so very comfortable. I would definitely recommend them.

5 Sherry
I took my Moab 3s out for a 9- mile training walk and they were perfect! I will be using them to hike in Slovenia so I had to find the right pair to get me through that. I passed a guy who said I love your boots- I have a pair just like them! I think that says a lot!

5 Terri
I love these shoes! I got size 8 which is half a size larger than I usually get. They began to feel slightly loose as I have broken them in, but they still feel great since I can tighten the laces. My toes had bruises from previous shoes and feel great in these shoes.

5 Kcdjh
Love this shoe! Wore it four days hiking in Zion. Didn ’ t even need to break them in, just wore them straight out of the box for nine hours the first day. No blisters, no sore feet, great support, and my feet weren ’ t aching by the end of the day like some other shoes I have used in the past. I like the way you don ’ t feel the rocks or uneven surfaces beneath your feet; so comfortable. I highly recommend this shoe!!

I really like them so far, I do like the fit. I have a hybrid bike I will wear them on bike rides also on the rail trail on short hikes. So far so good.

Best hiking footwear I ’ ve had and now on second pair. Ive hiked the Andes, Annapurna Circuit Himalyas, Lake Superior Hiking Trail, 15 Fourteeners in Colorado, Mournes Mtns& Muckish Ireland, Camel Back Arizona and most recent the Karwendel Moutain Range Germany. Too many to mention.. Fantastic footwear and I wouldnt be on any trail unless my Moabs were on my feet.

Waterproof hiking shoes help so much in high altitude highs with snow and mud and also with stream crossings!

5 Rich
I bought these shoes for a trip to Rocky Mountain National Park. I wore these on three different trails, and I was completely happy with them! They were comfortable right out of the box. Some of the trails still had snow banks that were melting, and these shoes kept my feet dry, and kept me going. The only thing I would have done different is order a 1/2 size bigger to accommodate my foot shifting forward going while going back down the trail, but that's my fault. I think these shoes are great!

Very nice lightweight( Merrell calls light- hiking) shoe with a lug sole that compares with a moderate or full hiking shoe. Sole not as stiff as heavier duty hikers but does the job well for me in moderate to difficult trails.

Solid support. I replaced my 20 year old Merrills that are still in good shape and still have the original laces.

I hike in a local park with my lab about 6 miles 4- 5 days a week. Merrels are my go to. These are very comfortable and sturdy shoes. We recently had 8 '' of snow and took them out for a hike. My feet stayed warm and dry through the whole 6 miles. Great hikers!

Very comfortable and supportive on moderate- rugged trails. Great value. Can ’ t speak to longevity yet but did great on a week of high mileage hiking.

5 N.A.
Comfy like shoes on the inside- steady lightweight boot on the outside. I wear these for Disc Golf a few times a week. These keep me dry from the dew soaked grass in the AM, the rain, the mud, the creek I through into, etc. The grip and stability are excellent on the scrambles and more hilly courses, yet does n't drag me down on the Tee pad.

Works very in support of the walking part of my aerobic exercise program. These shoes are the foundation for interval walking, switching between moderate and vigorous.
