I have eaten every single Mountain House products over the years. Most are great, one or two are not to my liking, but there are three that truly stand out for me and this is one of them! No, I am not sharing the other two and have them depleted in stock:) I love this meal- it has the right consistency and the dumplings in it are amazing for a freeze dried meal. Flavor is good and not overly salty. I highly recommend this one for sure.

I have bought from several different companies and realized I should try some before buying more. I am stocking up for emergencies/ Hurricanes. One brands protein pack is vegan. Lentils and beans. The taste was good but you have to boil for 25 minutes. That takes a lot of propane if your power is out. Your chicken and rice has a lot of chicken and a large portion. You only add boiling water to the pouch wait 10 minutes and it's ready to eat. I did add a little extra seasoning. And great for my girlfriend that has nut allergy.

The chicken fajita bowl is absolutely delicious. It tastes just like it should. No weird textures or anything. It ’s 2 servings but my husband and I put it on tortillas and it made 3 “ tacos ” total. We both had 1 and 1/2 and were full. So it can make 3 meals if you really need it to however that cuts your calorie intake for each one. Only thing I noticed bad about this is dry chicken but come one it ’s dehydrated so it ’s expected. None the less it ’s very good.

I have been using Mountain House products exclusively for years and am always very pleased with the quality of food, ease of use, and caloric benefits while out in the backcountry. This was my first time using the Pro Pak series and I was yet again pleased with the meals I purchased. My only regret was not buying more! Highly recommend the beef stroganoff, chicken casserole, and breakfast scramble. I was reluctant at first going with freeze dried eggs but it was a very satisfying meal and a great start to the day.

Mountain house is my go to on the road. Airline pilot in and out of hotels and I never leave the house without my electric kettle and one pack of mountain house per night. Mexican Style Adobo Rice and Chicken is one of my favorites. If cooked properly, the chicken can be a as succulent as made from home. Mexican style rice mixed with veggies add a nice and healthy blend of flavors. It all gets better too when the slight heat from the spices come through.

I tried this one out while ate work last week. It was good, however I 'm not as much into spicy food. I do like regular chicken buffalo wings, but ONLY buffalo wings, not the tenders. So, I think that was the only drawback on my end, and that's a personal preference, not a knock against the product. The product was exactly what it claimed to be. My manager quizzed me on what I was eating, and even HE had to admit that it was a good product to be free from a lot of chemicals and last as long as it does!

Very good taste! Pretty excited when I saw this new flavor and immediately ordered some. The taste is excellent, if you like hot sauce on anything you ’ ll like this. The first time we fixed it we use the exact amount of water called for on the package. In my opinion it was a little too much, the second time we didn ’ t use quite as much water and the sauce thickened up quite well. Every time we ’ ve eaten this the macaroni noodles reconstitute perfectly. I was very excited to add this flavor to our supply. I would definitely recommend it if you like buffalo chicken wings it ’s just a great taste.

I love this tasty treat. The only issue I had was the chunks of chicken were so large that the center of the chicken chunks remained a little hard from lack of water penetration. I suspect this is only a matter of finding the perfect cooking procedure. Flavor is very good!

Since I was a kid and in the military, I always looked for ways to make Mac and Cheese taste better. I recently purchased the new Buffalo Style Chicken Mac and Cheese to see if they had found the answer to my situation. Mountain House has done it again. I am happy to report that they have. I was already a fan of buffalo hot wings to now adding that flavor to Mac and Cheese is pure genius. The new mac and cheese tasted fantastic. I have purchased and used Mountain House food for many situations including hiking, camping and emergencies such as power outages caused by weather. This is my go to food because it has good storage life, lightweight and convenient to prepare. I find the taste and texture to be as good as it gets when fresh foods are not as reliable or available. I ’ ve taken on long and high adventure camping such a being flown into a lake in Alaska and left for a week or more and the weight of a weeks amount of food limits other alternatives. Also easy to have available for quick trips where the food source may be uncertain. I keep some on hand for potential emergencies such as being with out electricity after a devastating storm. It gives me good peace of mind and one less thing to worry about for day trips hiking or hunkered down for bad weather. I also like the taste of all entries I ’ ve used including the Alfredo and I believe Mountain House to have the most consistent product with a huge variety. I ’ m glad Mountain House has been has committed to consistency, variety and high quality. I highly recommend for outdoor camping, hiking etc and also for its nice long shelf life so as to not having to worry about waiting for an emergency whereby potentially you can not get to a store or the store is out. This is a five star standard product by which others are compared to. And there ’s lots of products that would like to be a competitor. Highly recommend for all the above reasons.
