I hope they continue to improve and I hope they continue to offer the Military MCW packaging, or at least continue to offer that form of packaging! I like it's simplicity and compactness! When I bought several food pouches it was all based on the great reviews. I bought these for camping, storms& emergency situations. I decided to try the Spaghetti& Meat Sauce, followed exact directions, wrapped towel around pouch& let sit for 16 min& much to my surprise I was amazed at how good this actually tasted! I never had freeze dried food& this was pretty good. For being a newbie on this product I highly recommend MH for your food!

Tastes great! Better than any canned spaghetti. I 've always thought these freeze dried meals want you to add too much water. I added just under 400ml of hot water from my kettle and it was perfect. The wait was n't very long either so win- win.

[ The serving size is almost too much for one person, but not quite enough for two people. Because it's so good, I almost always scarf down the whole thing myself. Most of the meals are lower in sodium than the competition and reasonably healthy for what they are. I do n't even consider other brands anymore.

MH meals are the standard, but recently decreased in size and also went up in price... not a great combo. While i will continue to purchase MH, i will say the portions of the jambalaya meal specifically were very generous! I did n't experience any of the same aftertaste issues of the previous reviewer, and was pleased with the level of spice. Not too hot, but i was well aware of off it! The individual meals also pack very flat and take up less space in your pack. All things considered, A+ camping food!

I did add a bit of peanut butter to the meal and it was fantastic!! MH should state clearly on the package that Pad Thai does not contain peanuts or peanut products. This is the first certified gluten free freeze dried meals I ’ ve found, and having celiac disease, keeping shelf stable food on hand for emergencies is very difficult.
