I have no intention of using these boots for riding or cleaning stalls. I will use them for Winter Walk and forays in the forests and beaches shooting( photography) wildlife. I took them out for our first snowfall walk. They are comfortable and warn. It was 20 degrees and I wore only a dress weight alpaca sock. My feet were never cold. There was plenty room for me to wear a heavier weight sock. I did encounter some wet spots along the marsh and my feet were totally dry. I will note that these boots do not have lug soles, so they were slick walking up snow covered steep slopes. This is not a knock on these boots for me. I have Yaktrax Diamond grips and Kahtoola Micro Spikes- both fit over these beefier boot. I love the ease of slipping into with the optional pull tabs( which I didn ’ t need to use.). The last pair of “ rubber boots ” I owned were snug to pull on. The liner is great. I ’ m sure these will be what the doctor ordered for my Winter Adventures. I wear 10. 5 Wide typically. The 11 and Medium width were perfect.

Muck really knocked it out of the park with this boot. The fit is great, but the function is top shelf! If you ’ re riding in the winter and need a bit of warmth these are the only way to go. I can put my spurs on them. They slide in and out of a stirrup well. I really hope this becomes one of Muck ’s mainstay boots. It ’s really well built and well designed.

A couple of weeks ago, Muck Boot sent me a pair of boots to try out. I ’ ve worn them for everything from ag field days to foraging herbs in the woods, to the steam threshers event, to going to the grocery store. They are by far the most comfortable boots I ’ ve ever worn. My favorite thing is that the sole is soft and “ bouncy ”. I ’ m a very active person who has chronic pain. Good shoes are very important to help keep the pain as minimal as possible. These do the trick. I had a pair of Muckmaster boots and they lasted for 4 winters of daily dog walks, maintaining their waterproof quality even after the sole of one boot started to come away. My wife bought me a pair of these Arctic Sport boots and apart from the logo at first sight they appear( and fit) identical to the Muckmasters. The extra thermal protection does not change the fit. Construction quality appears to be very good with the same excellent materials. Hoping for some snow now to really test them out!

I ’ m on my second Canadian winter with these. Very warm, very comfortable. They ’ re tall, almost up to my knee, and fit snug around my leg( though not “ tight ”) so as not to have huge gaps where snow can get in. The Vibram Ice sole works — good traction on slippery surfaces. Note, however, these boots are not light, nor are they flexible like cheap boots — there ’ ll be no trips strolling in the mall with these. These are serious boots for serious cold.

Love these boots! I 've been wearing Muck Boots to muck around my horses' paddock( and stalls) ever since I first discovered them, probably more than 20 years ago. They are great boots that I only wear for short periods every day. They keep my feet dry, and mostly warm. Over the years, I 've paid attention to the fact that I need to replace them every several years despite such limited used, but now I 've been advised that one is supposed to treat them with detergent-- I kid you not-- to keep the rubber happy so it wo n't crack. So that is what I intend to do with the two pairs I just bought!( Glad I can fit into kids' boots!)
