I have a couple pairs of the classic moc Red Wing shoes( 30yr old Irish Setter 8in, and a 6in Heritage) and with a very high arch I have always preferred the moc construction in shoes. I bought these and added the highest arch orthotics Red Wing makes, and bought a pair of the same orthotics for my 6in moc's. I walk 4- 8 miles a day, a mixture of pavement and trail, always in one pair of Red Wing's during cool and cold weather. I got the Weekender as my everyday shoe, figuring I 'd still use the 2 moc's for walking and hiking. But it's so comfortable it's the shoe that I wear 90% of the time( in cool and cold weather). In fact, it's so comfortable I often leave them on in the house, when normally all my life my shoes come off as soon as I 'm in the door. The only drawbacks so far are that because the sole is softer than the classic moc shoes it's wearing pretty fast. I get ca. 2 yrs out of the sole on my 6in moc, the Weekender may not make a year( ca. 1500 miles). I worry a bit about the leather eyelets lifetime instead of the metal grommets in the classic mocs. But for a shoe this comfortable I 'll be happy to replace the whole shoe every 4 or 5 years.

After a horrible experience with the migrating foam in the footbed of a previous leather- upper Merrell, this was a gamble... but so far it's been great. Incredible cushioning, great fit. A few unexplainable hard spots on the uppers noticeable only on steep side- hills. Now on to the desert sand.

Got these in low top. These are great! Coming off a pair of Moab 2 lows for hiking I feel these are a definite upgrade in looks and comfort. I think Merrell hit the nail on the head with the styling, I actually am tempted just to wear these as a daily without hiking in them, I do n't want to get them dirty! They look fantastic with jeans. Also note that these leather ones are more comfortable than the Speed 2 Goretex version... I tried on that pair and the cut outs for the ankle were higher and rubbed my ankle. There is no rubbing on these, however they are slightly heavier than the Speed 2 goretex. I imagine because this uses leather.

I purchased these boots a year ago, the affordable price and the comfortable looks made me want to give them a try. I wore them for a year at a job where I did n't have to stand all day, and recently switched to a job where standing for 12 hours was part of the job. I had to purchase shoes from the workplace there because they require new shoes due to food service related material, and they were sneakers, which after 12 hours, I was very fatigued and terrible foot pain. So I thought, lets try my old Wolverines again. Totally different! No fatigue, no pain! So I 'm here ordering a new pair of the same boots because the job is in food service. I have fairly narrow feet and these fit perfectly and are very comfortable. You ca n't even tell they have a steel toe. My only complaint is the top lace grommet. It has a different type of hook so it is a little difficult to get the lace in it when it is pulled out. I still rate this as Excellent though.

I bought factory 2nds from a buddy and I could n't tell you the difference between those and the 1st. A little cleaning and conditioning and it looked brand spanking new. I got these in a 7D. For some odd reason, they fit very similar to my pair of Beckmans which are a 7. 5D. Both are a touch loose at the toes. Maybe I 'm a 6. 5 in Redwings. No problem though, I threw in a pair of insoles for my Iron Rangers and they fit like a glove now. If you have a store near you, I highly suggest going in person to get sized. The leather is of fantastic quality. Great overall look and feel. I highly recommend this iconic boot! My next purchase are the Roughnecks.

Once broken in, there is simply not a better overall boot on the market for both style and quality. They do run big, so try them on before you buy. Never have I ever thought I would need a pair of Sorel winter boots living in the Deep South. However, life just happens, and here I am, in middle of Wisconsin experiencing negative Fahrenheit temperature. I did n't know that was possible, but it was, apparently. I got this pair right before winter storm came in Wisconsin, so I got to experience how great these are against cold/snow/wet ground. Pros:- Really, really warm. I went outside to go grab some food/groceries, and my feet were warm. It was funny experience because I could n't feel my thighs but I could feel my feet/toes.- Is very waterproof. I like walking in the snow. Did n't have much chance to see snow in regular basis, so I had lots of fun with it this winter. When I came back inside, only my feet stayed dry.- Basically does its job. It's waterproof winter boots. It is waterproof and for winter weather. Design/size:- I usually wear size 8 for tennis shoes. I have high and wide instep, so even though I did n't plan on wearing thick socks, I got 8. 5. They fit nicely. Not too tight where I need to put bandaids on my heel but not too big where I trip over my feet either. Very comfy as well. Walked miles wearing these and my feet were n't in pain. But I advise going with your normal foot size, though. Unless you have high/wide instep like me or wear THICK socks.- They are... cute. Very cute. Got lots of compliments from my friends and my mom. Keep in mind that my mom is very direct with her opinions. When she says they are cute, they are cute.

The boots are very comfortable after wearing them over a couple weeks. I knew this would be the case based on my other RedWing work boots. I ended up with a size 8 shoe even though I usually wear a size 7 because of the insole that the salesperson recommended. My feet were very tight for a little while until the shoes were broken in. I love the look of the boots for wearing around the office because I hate wearing high heels. The only down side is they squeak very loud whenever I walk on a smooth hard surface, such as tile. Other than that, I recommend investing in these boots.

While I did n't purchase my boots from here I did buy them from an authorized retailer online. These and other Carhartt boots I 've bought are the most comfortable boots I 've ever worn. I wear them over 10 hours a day and they treat my feet very well. I will say I do have to have the wide boot even though my feet do n't seem much wider than anyone else's.

[ I bought these a couple months ago and have used them for shorter hikes( ~2 hours) several times. They are a good weight, but still sturdy and they provide support without feeling too stiff or uncomfortable after a while on the trail.

[ I have found these boots to be extremely comfortable and very supportive. I normally add my own insoles to all boots but didn ’ t need to with these. They are true to size and very well made. The traction on the sole is spaced well. It does not collect excessive mud/etc. I would highly recommend these boots over other popular brands I have had before them.

[ I 've worn these only on suburban roads and treadmill so far because of the extreme weather we 've been having but so far( approximately 20 miles total) they have been outstanding. The fit is amazing. I have room in the toe box and the height is just right on my ankle. I ca n't wait to hike on trails this spring.

I tried on multiple other brands and settled on the Keen hiking boots, due to the recommendion of the sales associate, was waring a pair of Keen boots, hiked nearly 10 miles in 2 days scouting for the up coming season and these boots performed flawlessly. I was disappointed that these boots were not offered in wide so I did not pursue purchasing them. Then I saw they were in stock at a Dicks SP by the house and thought I should at least go down and try them on. I am so glad I did as the normal size fit and they have become more comfortable the more I have worn them.
