Okay I definitely struck gold when I chose these Nikes for my next run the way they hug your feet is simply perfect design they are so lightweight I have nothing on when wearing them. They also promote comforting heel security for some reason I guess just the way they hug so well. You can throw them on faster than a flip- flop and they stick to your foot harder than glue. I ’ ve used this shoe on grass, dirt, pavement, and track, and it performs great on all. I ’ ve used this shoe since July, so I would estimate 100- 200 miles, and there isn ’ t too much wear. The fit of the shoe is great, love the snug feel. Not crazy amount of traction, but the hole in the bottom( where the plate is) can get some mobility out of the rocker. The DNA flash is very soft in the heel, and lessens further forward, giving soft landing and fast release. This shoe can be used of really any distance in speed. Only complaint I ’ ve had is the ankle bump it has, it gave me soreness one time, but never happened again, so it shouldn ’ t be a problem.

Amazing shoe, fast and bouncy but not squishy. Relatively stable considering this is a racing shoe. I prefer them to my Saucony Endorphin Pro 4 because I recover faster after a hard workout in the Hyperion Elite 4. Elite 4 is comparably more stable than the Endorphin Pro 4. Excellent upper and ventilation. DNA Flash 2 foam does not stiffen up in the cold. I appreciate the design of the laces and how it makes it harder for them to get undone. Fit is perfect on my slightly wide feet. These shoes do n't get proper justice from some online reviewers and I do n't agree with that. I am really happy I gave them a try and they are permanently in my rotation now until I wear them down.

This is the `` goldilocks '' between the Novablast 3 and 4 and my favorite version of the three. Best version of the tongue. It's gusseted, a bit stretchy, preforated, and a touch of padding at the top to help prevent lace bite. The upper is a bit more breathable, and traps a bit less heat. The best version of the midsole. It's a bit less firm than the 4, better energy return than the 3, and they got rid of the excessive protruding heel from the 4. It's surprisingly flexible for a high- stack midsole, so you can use this for runs, jogging or walking. Very versatile, quite stable and I like the `` track club '' color way.

I ’ ve had Novablast 3 ’s, 4 ’s, and now this 5. Love the styling of the track club edition. I originally ordered my typical 9 1/2 but it was humongous and returned it for a size 9. Even the size 9 is plenty big. One other oddity and maybe it ’s just my specific shoe but the tongue seems exceptionally short. So much that on my first run I was getting some uncomfortable lace bite and after a few miles swapped out to my Superblast 2 ’s. I might have to relegate these to walk only shoes.

I bought these to race a 10k, and they killed it today in my time trial. They are my first “ plated ” racers, so it was a new feel for me, but as someone who has owned many pairs of Brooks, it was also very familiar. They are comfortable and lightweight, with a surprising amount of support for a non “ support ” shoe( I normally buy GTS). Not being a stranger to On Cloud shoes, I bought these from the sale table( my size is hardly ever on a sale table at Dicks!). They fit perfect, color was not my first choice but could not resist the price. Like my other On Clouds, they are perfect fit, but you do run 1/2 size too small. They are very light, fit like slippers and walk and run very well as they cushion your feet. Like other On Clouds, be careful not to scrape or use them for harsh conditions as they will tear or a hole can happen. They are meant for light to medium wearing conditions and do very well at that.

I have the altra gators and( not just this shoe but others) the laces do n't go far enough towards to toes so you ca n't use the lace hook on the gator. I 'm 17 stone and needed shoes that could handle my weight, I googled running shoes for large males and brooks came up, since then I 've always used brooks shoes for my running and walking, I started with trace 2's and walked/speed walked for 11 months on roads and football fields/rugby fields 3 miles a day then when they wore out I graduated to glycerine GTS which is when I started running/jogging again and I continued using them for another year 3 miles a day and also in the gym on the treadmill and on the stairmaster so then I needed to get a new pair so I chose glycerin again which I have to say are the best overall shoes for exercising on all different levels I 'm very happy with the first and second pair of glycerins and continue to wear them for gym work and as a very comfortable shoe for my 12 hour shifts as a care giver. I recently bought a pair of ghost max 2 shoes and I love them but they have much stiffer/harder feel all round and a larger roll forward type sole shape, I 've had to break them then in for the last month as they are much more robust than the glycerins which are straight out of the box run ready! I 'm enjoying the ghost max but be warned that they are so, so different than the trace and glycerin, it's completely changed my running style with the ghost max.... Conclusion.. They are higher and more supportive and stronger all round and slightly heavier too but the finish is top quality, the DNA foam is exceptional quality and comfort the colours are as usual amazing, The tounge padding is good but moves around a lot, the laces are good, the air cooling is great as usual, I 'll always buy brooks as they always make shoes that the customers want and need to exacting standards and for a 17 stone 245 pound heavy built weight training/running fanatic they suit me and my exercise obsessions very well...
