I purchased a pair for me and I am going to get a pair for my son as he likes them too. These are much nicer for me then the React Flyknit. These have a wider base for my big feet. Love the no- lace idea- laces are a pain! Great for walking, training, standing. Yep, my new favorite.

Having just tried the Free x Metcon, and asking for a return, I got these as I should have first since I have been eyeing them for a long time. Let me tell you that these are the perfect workout shoe. Excellent support, the strap is awesome instead of goofy laces at the gym. The soul on these things is super stable, grippy, and supportive. The upper is breathable, supportive, strong and durable. I love this shoe! I am definitely buying a second pair as soon as I decide on a color. I have the grey currently and its great and goes with everything.

Bought these as they were a really good deal at the Factory Store. Love the color and the design of this shoe. They are easy on and off. The strap keeps your foot in place. Tried to use them for work. On my feet 8 hours a day. I ended getting blisters on both heels. I feel If used as intended you may not get blisters. Still really cool shoes though.

I bought these shoes about 7 months ago, and I feel like I can accurately review them now. First thing right off the bat for anyone is probably the strap. This is more convenient than you may realize. Going to HIIT classes, there is n't much time to worry about retying your shoes. Having the strap, I typically do n't feel as though it loosens throughout the class, but even if it does... re- strapping is so quick! The feel of the shoe is very light, as I feel all Nike's are which is why I prefer them. The support is what you can still expect from a Metcon. During deadlifts, squats, etc, I feel like I can easily push through my heels while feeling stable and balanced. Compared to the Metcon 4s that I had, I do feel like these provide just enough cushion though for agility movements such as short runs, switch lunges, burpees, etc. The flexibility of the shoe is also a nice feature. Planks, lunges, etc, the shoes bend very easily. I felt that the Metcon 4 was very stiff in this aspect. Overall, it's a great training shoe overall and works well for HIIT and Boot Camp classes where you might experience everything I mentioned and more. I just would n't go buying these for lengthy runs. Nothing concerns me more than seeing reviews where people are buying a training shoe for walking or running. It's not designed for that!

Exactly what I needed. I train in these five hours a week with a mix of HIIT circuit and weight lifting. They ’ re comfortable to slip on, supportive in the heel for those low squats, and built to take a beating. The reinforced toe and grippy sole are perfect for burpees and mountain climbers. The toe box is a bit wider than I ’ m used to, but it provides a nice wide base to explode through and never feels unstable. Plus they look awesome. Got them in the tan and black- I feel like I ’ m ready to attack every time I close the strap.

On leg day while performing my very first squat I could feel the extra support and cushion in the heel. ... Very modern and almost futuristic but not overly streamlined, I love the style

[ I knew when I opened the box that these would become my go- to shoe. I just started working out again full time and I needed a shoe that could keep up with me. Out of the box the shoes were super light and very attractive. The fabric on the exterior was not mesh, though it appeared that it was. It was actually coated in a rubber that makes cleaning the shoe super easy. Good thing, too, because these shoes are white…which means they ’ ll go with almost EVERY gym outfit I own. When I put the shoes on they felt very comfortable with plenty of support throughout my entire foot. The shoe style was cute too, made a little wider than my foot it was giving skater vibes. As I worked out, however, I suppose my feet started to swell and they became kind of uncomfortable. No worries, though, because the shoelaces could be loosened and it gave me plenty of room again. I actually liked it better with the laces loosened to be honest because it meant I could slip the shoes off and back on again with ease. Likely I will need to break these shoes in before they are completely comfortable to wear throughout my hour and a half workout. I performed several days worth of gym workouts in these shoes, but I could most feel the design intent in the shoe on leg day. On leg day while performing my very first squat I could feel the extra support and cushion in the heel. As I pressed through the lift I could feel the shoe giving me the right support right where I needed it. That performance continued throughout my entire workout giving me confidence that I could keep form due to the stability the flat bottom of the shoe provided. So, does the shoe do what it says it does? I would say yes. Even on the days that I did arm and shoulder routines I could tell the shoe was working to keep me balanced and supported, helping me keep my form through my entire workout. I liked the design intent in this shoe more than any other thing about the shoe. Its about time someone offered up a shoe that wasn ’ t labelled “ training ” but is, instead, geared for lifting( not just running). If I could change anything it would be the narrow toe. I have a foot that is just a little wider than an average toe width but narrower than a wide. I ’ m only speaking for myself, though. The fact is, if you have an average width foot these shoes are probably absolutely DREAMY to wear.

[ I really love these Nike Metcon 10 Women's Workout Shoes! Opening the box, my first impression was that they look really cool. Very modern and almost futuristic but not overly streamlined, I love the style lines. The shape of the toe box is nice and wide and the bottom of the shoe is wide along the entire foot. I ’ m not really a runner but I love training so I wore these for an at home workout the first time using them. They are about 1/2 size too small( I ordered true to my regular size so I ’ d size up 1/2 size). Despite them being a little small, I was able to get through the workout pretty comfortably. I haven ’ t had shoes that feel this stable during a workout before. They grip well, have a huge stable base and allow me to focus on my core for stablity rather than trying to not slide around in my shoes. I want to swap out for a half size larger and these will be my go- to for every workout. Love them!!!

[ These shoes are so comfortable! I wore them to work, to an elementary school function, and then on a run and they still felt comfy by the end of the day! I only wish I had ordered a half size to a size larger because they fit extremely true to size and I like a little more wiggle room for being active. The coolest feature is the little pouch on the top of the tongue that allows you to tuck the laces in so they don ’ t come untied or flop around- that ’s genius! The quality of the shoe is excellent. They have a unique shape and design that is super cool. Aside from them having gotten a little dirty in my wearing them( they are white), the materials have held up flawlessly. The shoe strings are strong and the shoe material itself is durable and breathable. For every day wear, they are wonderful and fit true to size; they are also a great shoe for being active if you order a half to a whole size larger!

[ I absolutely love the fit and feel of these shoes. They feel very supportive and structured without overdoing it. The design is fun, the subtle lines are different from any other shoes I have, but still just a simple white/gray pattern. The fabric is sturdy and seems like it will hold up to a lot of wear- it ’s stiffer than my other Metcon shoes. A fun thing I didn ’ t realize at first is how the tongue can stretch over and hide the laces. I don ’ t know why I ’ d need to do that personally, but I really like it. At first, the stiffness of the shoe was a turn- off, but as I ’ ve worked out in them several times and worn them around a couple of times, it ’s perfectly comfortable now. The ankle seems to have less support than other Metcon shoes I own, but I actually find this a positive- the others felt like too much stiffness/protection in the ankle. Overall, I would definitely recommend these for lifting and conditioning- type workouts. I also wore them on an indoor bike, and they worked for that as well.

[ As an avid gym go- er, these have been great for my morning lift sessions. So far I ’ ve been loving the stability and structure of these shoes as I have very weak ankles from years of wear and tear of playing sports. The fabric is very sturdy and seems like it will hold up to a lot of wear. Really love the clean lines and design of these shoes. Something cool about these shoes is that you can tuck the laces into the top part of the tongue however not sure it ’s a make or break feature lol These shoes have some stiffness to them upon first few wears but have become more comfortable. Don ’ t recommend for cardio or running with the lack of bounce but Overall, I would definitely recommend this shoe for gym lift sessions, casual wear around town running errands.

[ These shoes are excellent quality. The fabric feels very durable, which is a must have when it comes to work out shoes. I ordered my normal size and they fit perfectly. I lift weights frequently and the firmness of these shoes helps me to feel both balanced and supported. I love the design, it goes well with literally anything that I wear. The inside is made of a soft foam and is very comfortable I had no problem wearing them all day.

[ At first glance when taking the Metcon 9's out of the box I thought for sure they were going to be too big. I was extremely happy once I put them on that I was wrong because I loved the color, design, and weight of the shoe. The shoe looks wider than necessary when you look at it( or maybe I 'm just used to more narrow looking shoes), but once it is on you realize that the shoe hugs your food just right and allows space for your foot to expand while moving. If you are more into the natural fit then this is the shoe for you. The heel is a lot more stiff than I 'm used to for Nike, but to be honest, I like it a lot better that way. The shoe holds on to your heel for next to no movement. The grip on the shoe is next level as well, I 'm in the mountains, we hike a lot on unsteady terrain. The soles on these shoes gripped everything just right. The fabric breathes, but will also get wet very easily, I would n't wear these on a rainy day or on a rainy excursion. Love the velcro flap on the tongue to hold the shoe laces in place! That's a nice touch I had yet to see in any sneaker design.

It runs a half sz. too small. I ’ ve never had an issue with Nike sizing. All my shoes are true to size, but these. They ran a half sz too small in the toe box. Returning to purchase a bigger size. Other than that, shoes feel good and look good.

I love the style of the new metcon 7 ’s. I was not a fan of the 6 ’s, they made your feet look wide. I initially fell in love with the metcon ’s because of the style of the 5 ’s and 6 ’s. I ’ ve been impressed with the Nike Women ’s Metcon 7. They ’ re incredibly comfortable during weight training, with a stable yet cushioned feel that makes a big difference during longer sessions. I also have plantar fasciitis, and these provide great support and help reduce discomfort while lifting. On top of that, they look amazing — sleek, stylish, and easy to pair with gym outfits. Definitely a solid choice for both performance and style.

I loved the Metcon 4s, I liked the 5s, I was not a fan the 6s. The 7s are my favorites overall. They are nice and flat, so perfectly stable for lifting. They also have enough cushioning for comfort while walking or short treadmill runs. Sizing: Seens to be a bit different from previous versions — I typically wear a size 9 in most Nike shoes. But, I wore a size 9. 5 in Metcon 4 and a size 9 in Metcon 7.

Ordered my usual 7. 5 size and it ’s a perfect fit. I was wary of purchasing due recent contradicting negative reviews but took the chance anyway and so glad I did. I have average width feet( I can wear 270 ’s but they ’ re a tiny bit too narrow for me) and these were just right. I have been using running shoes for CrossFit for years and the switch to these has been incredible! [ The Nike Metcon 10 sneakers fit true to size, and are immediately comfortable. They ’ re great for everyday wear or going to the gym. I love the thoughtful design touches, such as the pocket on the tongue of the shoe to tuck the laces into. This keeps the laces from flapping around, while also creating a sleek look. Depending on the dress code, you could easily wear these all day at the office and then straight to the gym. They are sturdy and comfortable, but also easy to slip in and out of when putting them on/taking them off. They are breathable, and the bright design will help you to be seen by cars if you ’ re out at night without being too overwhelmingly bright to wear casually. My biggest complaint is that they are a bit squeaky on the floor. While I wouldn ’ t choose them for a long run, they are great for walking, cross- training, and every day use.
5
Nikesince85
[ The Nike Metcon 10 first look was sleek and futuristic. The shoe feels as if Nike used quality materials to manufacture a training shoe to last, I did like the extra support on the top tip of the shoe, especially for ground level training. The inside of the shoe is soft and solid. A really cool feature would be the hideaway on the tongue of the shoe to hide the laces, it should be on all shoes. I ’ ve had the shoes for a few days and as I continue to break the shoes in, I feel they will get even more comfortable. The heel ’s structure is solid and fits very well against the heel and the design is great. Lastly I have to mention the shoes look and feel solid, surprisingly the shoe is actually light. I highly recommend this training shoe.

[ This has been a great training shoe. I use them for only weight training because the flatness of the shoe works well for that. With that said, I have an arched foot so I could n't see myself wearing them for casual or daily wear, but they could easily be used for that because the style and color way of them is really nice.

[ The Metcon line is one of the few Nike lines I had not had the pleasure to try and have been dying to. It did not disappoint. I love the fit and feel. I got a half size higher than my size but it worked out fine since I use orthotics. I always felt secure and stable. Very confidence inspiring. The designed changed a bit from the 9s in the mid stability piece but I think it makes it look less intimidating to wear. You can use them casually without them looking odd. Fabric feels durable and but definitely not premium. It gets the job done. Biggest plus: stability Biggest letdown: materials. It ’s the 10. It should have better materials

[ The metcon 10 ’s are amazing. I ’ ve had previous models of metcons so I have a bit of experience with them. I have wide feet so the toe cap of a shoe is generally the most uncomfortable part for me. The 10 ’s aren ’ t a problem for me in that area. My feet are comfortable during my run/workout sessions. I typically switch between my running shoes and my metcons for training sessions. For reference, my typical mile time is around 7: 40. With the 10 ’s, I can run and comfortably get through the rest of my session. The shoes do a really good job at alleviating impact for my feet/legs. It ’s a great all- around shoe for me. Another detail I want to highlight about the 10 ’s is the grip it provides. I feel planted/stabilized whenever I do lifts with them. It gives me extra confidence for doing lifts such as squats. The 10 ’s will be my main gym shoe now. It ’s the most universal/best shoe for my gym sessions.

I ’ ve been using the Metcon 6 for a while, and the Metcon 7 is definitely a noticeable upgrade. The fit feels more snug and secure, and overall it ’s more comfortable without losing stability for lifting. It still performs great during weight training, but now has a bit more flexibility and cushioning, which makes it better for mixed workouts and moving around the gym. The design is also cleaner and more modern the 6 was solid, but the 7 feels more refined all around and is definitely worth it.

I fell in love with the Free Metcon line when the 5 released. I didn ’ t think anything would beat the 6s, but I really LOVE the increased heel cushioning on these. They ARE narrower and snug in the toe box so I returned the first pair and re- ordered a half size up and they are PERFECT now. Super happy with the purchase and would highly recommend these.

When selecting shoes for squats, consider features such as a flat sole for stability, a firm heel for support, and a snug fit to prevent movement during lifts. Additionally, look for shoes with good grip to ensure traction on the gym floor. Breathable materials can also enhance comfort during intense workouts.
Different styles of training shoes can significantly impact squat performance. Shoes with a raised heel can help improve squat depth and form, while flat-soled shoes provide a stable base for heavier lifts. It's important to choose a style that aligns with your specific lifting technique and comfort preferences.
Training shoes for squats are typically made from a combination of synthetic materials, mesh, and rubber. Synthetic materials provide durability and support, while mesh allows for breathability. Rubber outsoles are essential for traction and stability during lifts.
Yes, certain training shoes may be better suited for different types of squats. For example, Olympic weightlifting shoes with a raised heel can be beneficial for front squats, while flat-soled shoes are often preferred for powerlifting. It's important to consider your squat style and personal comfort when choosing shoes.
The right training shoes can enhance squat technique by providing stability, support, and proper alignment. A shoe with a firm heel can help maintain an upright torso, while a flat sole promotes better weight distribution. This can lead to improved form and potentially increase lifting performance.
