Performed great and even saw the guides using them too. ... They can get a little hot, the the palm side has a lot of ventilation which is great. ... Great gloves for sun

[ I live in Southern California which means I spend a lot of time driving and my hands get a lot of sun. I bought these to wear when I drive and I love them! I was worried gloves might be hot, but they actually keep my skin really cool. The fabric is light and feels silky on the skin. I will be using these on hikes as well.

[ I previously wore out a pair of Outdoor Research sun gloves that left fingers exposed. I was pretty happy with them but I thought it would be better to have full coverage of my hands. Not a significant difference in how warm the gloves feel with the fingers covered- although that does mean I have to remove them to use my cell phone ‘s touchscreen. These gloves work well for blocking sun- I have taken them on multiple trips outdoors including a week on the PCT. The reinforced palm helps somewhat with preventing chafing from hiking poles. Not perfectly though and the fabric is not super durable so don ’ t abrade it! Also — gloves do not provide a super snug fit so I can ’ t seem to wear these and tie my shoelaces for instance.

[ Bought for a tour that required glove wear on the mountain. Performed great and even saw the guides using them too. Great for when you need minimal coverage.

They fit perfect. They do n't make your hand sweat and they keep the sun off your hands and they protect your hands from the tracking poles. Excellent

These are my new favorite belay gloves! I take them up on the wall when I 'm doing multipitch climbs and also to the sport crag. They are versatile and generally awesome! I did get some holes in them after some usage, so be aware the durability is an issue, but I really have n't found a glove that's both dextrous and durable. Belay gloves put up with some serious abuse, so I 'm not really sure what's reasonable to expect.
5
Mike
I got these to replace a worn out pair of BEAL gloves that I 've had for ten years. These have performed great so far. I can move easily between climbing and belaying and ensure I do n't trash my hands before a climb! They fit a bit smaller than expected across the palm but are flexible enough to work well for me!

use these for wildland fire. good fit, holding up very well this season. comfortable for digging, burning, and running the saw.

Mollie L
Very pleased with these gloves!! I had read a review previously that he used them on fire assignments and was hooked, bought them a few weeks ago and took them out to OR on a fire and they did great! But BONUS I 've also put them to the test at tree climbing this week and they 've done really well! Only gripe is that they 've stretched a little bit, to where the extra space in the fingers gets stuck in carabiners from time to time. Easy to mitigate though, and the leather holds up super well to fire, ash, dirt, sap, ropes, and all:) plus do love that extra loop on the fingers to hang them in a way on my hip that keeps misc dirt from falling in.

I 've been using these for cold weather biking. They are warm, slightly wind resistant and there is no seam along the inside of the thumb and palm so there's no pressure point when gripping handlebars. Unexpected but great feature. Just right. Also good for general use in cold, but not frigid temperatures. Great contoured fit.

This glove felt a full size smaller than the same size in the sensor stormtracker and sensor 150 merino liner. Overall it seemed to be a nice glove for active use. There was more insulation on the palm than I was expecting. I would likely be comfortable using these for aerobic cross country skiing down to 20F but run a bit warmer than average.

[ The fit is a bit small, depending on what you plan on doing with them. I bought these in a women's small. I have small hands; my palm circumference is an even 7 '' and the length of my hand is just less than 7 ''. I 've never previously found a women's small to be at all tight, in fact, sometimes I have to order extra smalls, but these gloves are just a tad bit on the small side. They fit perfectly when my hand is curled, as if you 're holding onto your ski poles or something else, but when I try to stretch my hand as open as possible, it feels just a bit tight in the length. So if you plan on standing around with your hand opened wide and pressed down flat, you should size up. The other issue is the gauntlet sleeve is a little tight/small in circumference-- it's just a bit hard to pull on over a parka sleeve, especiallly if one glove is already on. Also, if you want really fine dexterity, these are too thick for that. I found that while the touchscreen fingers do work fine on my phone and tablet, the difficulty comes in in accuracy, due to the thickness of the gloves. I also found it a little difficult to use a sensitive two button mouse without accidental clicks. However, those things aside, the gloves are very comfy/cozy. The inside lining is soft and I have n't yet noticed sweaty palms. They kept me warm and dry working outside in cold and rainy weather, which is what I bought them for. I would have preferred if the palms had been reinforced with another layer of leather, but so far they seem to be holding up to chopping and stacking wood and other miscellaneous odd jobs around a cabin in the woods when it's cold and rainy. I would imagine these would be good for snowsports as well as winter motorcycling, but again, if you 're looking for really fine touchscreen dexterity, I 'd find a thinner glove that maybe is n't as warm/thick.

Keep your hands dry and warm. A little pricey, but you get what you pay for. For the ice angler, these are a bit cumbersome to try and use while fishing. The dexterity and sensitivity just is n't good enough for me to use on my jigging/rod hand. Keeps my reeling hand nice and toasty though!

These are fantastic! I 'm normally a gloves guy but I bought these for very cold conditions and they did not disappoint. The fit is excellent. They kept my hands warm for two hours on a snowmobile at- 18C( without grip heaters). I like the snug cuffs, they fit under my coat sleeve and keep the snow out. Time will tell but they seem durable and well constructed.

I 've been using these gloves 2- 3 times weekly for around 4 months now. They 're starting to show some wear on the palms, but I believe that's on me for not treating the leather first. These gloves have keep my hands warm in temps as low as- 25° with the wind chill added. Still very efficient even when my hands got sweaty in them.

These gloves( small men's size on a large woman's hand) fit really well from the start and needed almost no break- in. What with the cold and the wet weather, clearing off cars, dragging trash cans around, lugging the groceries- you name it- these gloves have held up, and kept my hands warm and dry. Not fancy looking, but as my mother used to say, `` You 're not going to a fashion show. ''

I love these gloves, they are so warm! I use them on their own hiking while splitboarding and as a liner for really cold days in the resort. The Small size fit my small hands very well... I have borderline kid size hands and they still fit me pretty well. I was able to use my phone with the gloves on my hands. Highly recommended if you want warm hands!

L
I was expecting those gloves to be good, but they absolutely exceeded my expectations. The first time I wore them, I was outside for six hours in steady rain and near- freezing temperatures. My hands were the driest part of me. Not that these are waterproof- they aren't- but the grid fleece on the backs of the hands wicks and breathes so well that my body heat dried the gloves faster than they could get wet. My hands stayed warm and dry, and the fingers were still dextrous enough that I could work outside. Love these and will be buying more, plus anything else made of Vigor Plus fleece that I can get my hands on. Big improvement in fit over the previous year's model as well.

Took these on trail and they kept my fingers warm in a cold rain. I like the fit, the feel, but glad it did not rain the next day because they did not dry fast at all. Did not expect waterproof of course, but was hoping they would be useful again without a dryer. Taking something else for days long hiking next time, but these are still nice, keeping for different scenarios, hikes closer to home.

These gloves keep your hand dried very well. I have n't used under several weather yet, so I am not sure about waterproof from rain& snow yet. I used these at 10~15 degrees C, and my hands held some sweat. These gloves alone would be good between- 10~10 degree C. You would need extra thermal gears under- 10C. I felt the size runs a little large as I break in. You could do half size down if you want tight fits.

I previously owned golding rocker chairs and they are showing their age. I have seen the exact chairs at a few different place we shop. I decided to go back to Dicks for the chairs because in my opinion they have a better selection than most. Dick ’s had numerous styles and colors to pick from. Plus of course alot of the Texans merchandise was on sell do I had to indulge myself.

I got these for my son who spends a lot of time either shoveling the snow or playing with my grandson in the snow. We have had a lot of below zero windchills, and it becomes very dangerous for frostbite without the proper gloves. He absolutely loves these! He says they are the best gloves in below zero windchills! When temps are less harsh, and he takes my grandson outside to play in the snow, he says his hands are nice and warm! I highly reconnend these gloves for outside play and below zero windchills.

I purchased these for myself at 50% off. I would recommend these at that price point, but not at$ 20. The xl size is a bit smaller than other xl gloves, and wo n't fit a liner glove for skiing. Good for cold weather activities, but not extreme conditions. If you need extreme weather all day skiing gloves, consider something else. But for sunny, dry, seasonable skiing conditions these will work for the price. I use them for southern winter lake fishing/ boating, and for the price... I 'm satisfied.

Most useful glove I own. I buy back- up pairs for there's always a fresh pair when needed. Do n't get me wrong- they do last a long time, but eventually I will abuse them and a fingertip or 2 will wear out. Then they become work gloves, and a new pair rotates in for the winter backcountry trips. My hands freeze. They 've been damaged over the years of exposure, but the wind- blocking feature of the Stormtrackers works! The dexterity and anatomical fit/articulation are amazing- THANK YOU for making this in a women's version OR! I can easily utilize all my zippers, placing skins on skis, avy transceiver functions, etc on a snowy day without having to bare my fingers to the elements. And they still breathe, so I do n't sweat( and subsequently freeze). I usually do need to switch to insulated gear for the descent, but not always. And if it's a warm uptrack day, I just put the gloves over the pole handles for a comfy, warm, low- profile grip until I need them again. Do n't worry about the zippers- no issues whatsoever with them, and you will forget they 're there. Actually keeps the wrists lower profile than with velcro. Use the little clasp feature to keep them mated when not in use. Leather palms are durable and grippy. The perfect softshell, all- around useful glove!

Purchased these for my daughter for lacrosse. She has small hands and the small fit great. She has a problem with her hands getting really cold and these gloves are critical to her being able to play. The grip allows her to hold the stick and with the pocket for hand warmers she can use them without having to have them inside her glove so that they stay put and keep her hands warm.

I have used these for several storms while shoveling and snowblowing snow. They have a great shell that is definitely waterproof therefore keeping my fingers dry and warm. They are quite pricey but needed for this part of the country.

Keeps the hands perfectly warm... would definitely recommend. The only part that i think is unnecessary is the thin elastic at the end of the gloves which apparently is there to tighten the end. Does n't function much.

Seems a lot of gloves are very expensive these days. These gloves were on sale and not anywhere near the top of the price scale. But I have found them to be very comfortable and effective when out using my snowblower, where my hands typically get cold.

I love these gloves. I am a ski patroller and need a warm and functional glove. The mission gloves provide the dexterity I need to manage a taboggan, ropes, and tools. I love the leather palms for gripping ropes and the Velcro wrist straps which keep the snow out and secure the glove easily under the cuff of my jacket. These gloves replaced a pair of BD gloves I used for nearly 6 years.

White Mountains 21°F with 5- 10mph winds these gloves worked well as long as you keep active. My fingers were cool but not freezing cold( without liner gloves). My hands did not sweat like in normal gloves. People expecting toasty warm fingers might want to pair these gloves with a thin liner glove. These gloves are thicker than a liner glove but thin and light enough to fit in your jacket pocket. Sizing is perfect. In most gloves a Med is tight but fits perfectly and a Large leaves extra room in the finger tips. These gloves in Med fit almost perfect and leave room for a light weight liner glove.

[ To be honest if you think you can use those gloves on a cold weather, you can but you MUST do an activity( run or walk) to keep your hands warm in order to have the omi- heat technology to work, those gloves are not for cold weather but you can use them for hiking or temperature over 20F

I ’ ve only bought this pair because my 5 year old pair was stolen. Through probably 40+ patrol days a year and countless ski and touring days these are consistently the best moderate cold gloves I ’ ve ever had. The leather is durable and the insulation is perfect. It ’s an excellent glove. Only con: BD gloves tend to fit a bit big for the size and it isn ’ t consistent across all gloves. Best to try before you order

I use these gloves for projects where i need the dexterity of fingers. Like the spark mitts, these had a tight wrist area to keep the snow and cold out and warm and roomy finger area. Also like the leash strap on each glove so they hang off your wrist when you take them off.( No more losing them in the snow)

I mostly use these for winter backcountry skiing. Easy to get on and off. Warm enough and lots of dexterity. Very durable.
When selecting outdoor performance gloves, consider features such as insulation for warmth, waterproofing for wet conditions, and breathability to prevent moisture buildup. Additionally, look for gloves with a good grip and dexterity, which are essential for handling equipment or performing tasks outdoors. Adjustable cuffs can also help keep out cold air and snow.
Outdoor performance gloves are typically made from a variety of materials designed for durability and comfort. Common materials include synthetic fabrics for water resistance, leather for grip and durability, and fleece for added warmth. Some gloves may also incorporate advanced technologies like Gore-Tex for enhanced waterproofing and breathability.
Outdoor performance gloves are designed to handle a range of weather conditions, but their effectiveness can vary based on the specific features they offer. For instance, gloves with waterproof materials are ideal for wet or snowy conditions, while those with lighter insulation may be better suited for milder temperatures. It's important to choose gloves that match the specific climate and activities you plan to engage in.
Choosing the right size for outdoor performance gloves is crucial for comfort and functionality. Measure your hand circumference and refer to the sizing chart provided by the manufacturer to find your ideal fit. A snug fit allows for better dexterity, while too loose of a fit can lead to reduced warmth and control.
Outdoor performance gloves are versatile and can be used for a variety of activities, including skiing, snowboarding, hiking, and winter sports. Their design often prioritizes dexterity and warmth, making them suitable for tasks that require both grip and protection from the elements. Depending on the specific features, some gloves may also be suitable for casual outdoor use in colder weather.
Outdoor performance gloves are specifically designed for active use in challenging conditions, offering features like enhanced grip, breathability, and weather resistance that regular winter gloves may lack. They often incorporate advanced materials and technologies to provide better insulation and moisture management. This makes them more suitable for sports and outdoor activities where dexterity and performance are key.
