My wife and I got kayaks for early Christmas presents so after looking online and checking reviews I bought two of these paddles. Our kayaks are sit in and fairly wide, if you have similar kayaks you will want a longer paddle.

[ The Franklin Sports Pickleball Pilot Series fiberglass paddle with MaxGrit is a solid option for intermediate players looking to refine control without sacrificing too much power. As an experienced player, I appreciated the paddle ’s consistent sweet spot and the reliable pop off the fiberglass face. The MaxGrit surface truly enhances spin potential, especially on third- shot drops and roll volleys, offering more command during soft play. Its lightweight feel improves maneuverability at the net, making quick hands battles easier to win. However, advanced players may notice a slight lack of stability against heavy hitters due to the paddle's lighter core. The handle is comfortable and has just the right amount of tackiness for extended play without slipping. Overall, it ’s a well- balanced paddle that performs admirably for its price point and would serve recreational to advancing players particularly well.@ missvenusreviews# instagram# ig# instapic# pickleball# fitness# photo

calens1_9546
[ This pickleball paddle is pretty decent! Keep in mind that I ’ m a beginner pickleball player that took it up for the first time this summer, so my perspective will be from someone just getting used to pickleball in general. The initial first glance quality of this paddle is pretty high- it ’s beautiful in terms of aesthetics, the grip material on the handle is smooth but still grippy, and the paddle itself is a light sandpaper smooth. It ’s not too heavy that it ’s difficult to hold for long periods of time or too light that it ’s incapable of having some power behind the hits. It feels like the “ just right ” for a beginner player like me that ’s on the smaller side of muscles. I can ’ t speak to whether this is formal professional quality, but as a beginner I ’ m quite pleased with it.
5
jennysarah_3615
[ We are recreational weekend pickle ball players and found this paddle to be perfect for a quick match- living in the hot humid state of FL your grip sometimes gets a little loose playing if you can ’ t get an inside court, but it has a great grip even with the extra sweat by the end of the match. The paddle face itself has a slight texture compared to other smoother paddles we have played with, which is nice for making precise shots.

I purchased this as a gift for my teenage son. He enjoys playing table tennis with his dad and friends, but does n't play competitively or anything like that. I asked him to review it, this is what he had to say- compared to a `` regular '' paddle, it has a lot more grip so you do n't have to flick your wrist too much to produce spin and you do n't have to swing as hard to produce more speed. He wanted to rate it 4 1/2 stars, so I rounded up. He thought the price tag was steep, but we had nothing to compare it to, so we are unsure if the price is commiserate with the quality of the paddle.

Overall the 505 has been an excellent paddle for me, I have used this paddle for two years as this is my second one. The paddle has great balance and control and the long handle allows two handed. Backhands, it also has a wonderful grip. I have played with many other popular paddles from different companies and this paddle by far has the best overall qualities of control and power.
5
Sam
I 've played with the 505 for about a year. The 505 does many things very well including pop, consistency, leverage, and control. Having played with many of the top brands the thing that sets the 505 apart is its large and consistent sweet- spot. This effects your entire game but for me it tremendously helped with the 3rd/5th/7th shot drops. I believe this is a great paddle for everyone but especially the 3. 5- 4. 0 player trying to progress forward to 4. 5. The paddle produces average spin which I think is actually a positive for this level of player, forcing them to focus on form and consistency over creating MAD spin. I coach and play at 5. 0. Thanks, GAMMA, for another great paddle!

A well-designed paddle handle can enhance grip and control during play, allowing for better maneuverability and precision. Features such as ergonomic shapes and textured surfaces can reduce slippage and improve comfort, especially during long matches. Additionally, the right handle can help absorb shock, minimizing strain on the wrist and arm.
The length of a paddle handle can significantly influence your reach and swing mechanics. Longer handles typically provide more leverage, which can enhance power and control for certain shots. Conversely, shorter handles may offer increased maneuverability and quicker reactions, making them suitable for players who prefer a more agile style of play.
Paddle handles are often made from materials like wood, composite, or plastic, each offering different benefits. Wooden handles tend to provide a traditional feel and good shock absorption, while composite materials can offer a lighter weight and increased durability. The choice of material can affect grip, comfort, and overall performance during play.
Yes, paddle handle designs can vary to accommodate different playing styles. For example, players who favor power may prefer thicker, more robust handles for better grip and control, while those who focus on finesse might choose slimmer handles for agility. Understanding your playing style can help you select a handle that enhances your performance on the court.
When selecting a paddle handle for outdoor versus indoor play, consider factors like grip texture and material durability. Outdoor paddles may benefit from weather-resistant materials and a grip that performs well in varying conditions. In contrast, indoor paddles can prioritize lightweight designs and comfort for extended play in controlled environments.
