5 Treeznfish
This is an excellent bass bait. I have only bought the cotton candy color, as I just catch fish with it. When nothing else is working, put one of these on!

5 kybassman
I like using these baits either Texas- rigged or wacky style.

5 Raignis
If the bass are getting slow and picky, these trick worms on a Strike King shaky head jighead have been pulling them off the bottom for me. Great selection of colors.

Of all the curly tail grubs, Berkely are the best for me in the color pearl white. I use them for crappies and bluegill.

5 wader105
as expected, these Berkley 2 '' curlies are quality baits. each bait is consistent in quality in shape, size, and color and the colors are very vibrant. durability is about average but still very decent. these baits will catch all panfish species- bluegill, perch, and crappie for me. and when i do catch the occasional bass, it's usually with this berkley power bait. i recently downsized from regular bass rig to ultra lite and could n't be happier with these little curly tails- several colors/combos. lastly, i think you 'll find these 2 '' ers are a little beefier than most other small grubs and the fish seem to appreciate it, as do i.

5 walleye107
I 've used these for the first time recently, and they work great! All I 'll use from now on!

The crappie and bass gobble d this bait up! I had some tough conditions where I needed a 2 inch profile. This grub was my old faithful! It performed well in both cold and warm water and the scent lasted a long time.

5 MinorPentatonicAddict
T- rig with 1/4- 3/8 oz tungsten bullet weight and a 4/0- 5/0 off set worm hook. You can use a 1/16- 1/8 oz bullet weight if you are using spinning gear. Cast to some cover and let it set on the bottom for a stretch with occasional twitches. Hits most often occur as the worm is falling to the bottom... but I have also had hits shortly after the worm hits the bottom and is just setting there. Stitch it along the bottom by lifting and dropping your rod tip 6 '' or so. Slowly works best, but the bass will tell you what they want. Do n't be afraid to tie on a big worm when you are fishing for largemouth bass! I 've had bass< 1 lb hit this worm like a train. I keep my colors simple... black and green pumpkin are all you need. Those 2 work in all conditions. A great worm by Zoom!!

The Zoom ol monsters are my soft plastic of choice. The 10 1/2 '' worm will get the bass' attention. They are very durable and come in a good assortment of colors. My most productive have been: black shad, red shad and California 420. I love texas rigging these worms and practically fishing anywhere on the lake. From fallen timber to points to deep water structure, these are a sure bet

great worm use it texas or carolina rig big an needs a 5. 0 hook fish cant miss seeing this bait

5 Ratltraps
I have thrown the Zoom Ol' Monster worm for years and with great success, this new color called California 420 is just what the east Texas fish want, very versatile, shallow with a small 1/8 ounce weight or deep with a 1 ounce weight, my# 1 worm to go to period! I use a long offset shank 5/0 hook with these worms, great in the grass, around the grass and through the timber!

When the saucy swimmers came out, I thought, why not give them a try. I 'm glad did. Nothing is the scent something the fish seem to lock on to, they are extremely durable. I used to use strike king rage swimmers and they were decent, but if I can catch on 6- 7 fish per bait on average with the googan baits, versus 2- 3 with strike king its a no brainer. I live in Florida and electric shades is the color of choice for me. Buy them 3 packs at a time and save. Want to save more? Frequently Asked Questions For Pike Soft Bait

Pike soft baits are commonly used to target species such as northern pike, muskie, and other predatory freshwater fish. These baits mimic the movement and appearance of prey, making them effective for attracting fish that are actively hunting. Anglers often use them in various water conditions, including lakes, rivers, and reservoirs, to increase their chances of a successful catch. The versatility of pike soft baits allows for different retrieval techniques, enhancing their effectiveness in various fishing scenarios.

When selecting a quality pike soft bait, consider the material and durability, as these factors can affect the bait's performance in water. Look for realistic designs that mimic the appearance and movement of prey, which can attract pike more effectively. Additionally, pay attention to the size and weight of the bait, as these elements can influence how it behaves in different fishing conditions. Finally, color options can play a significant role in visibility and appeal to pike in various water environments.

Pike soft baits are designed specifically to mimic the movement and appearance of prey that pike typically hunt, such as smaller fish or eels. They often feature a more elongated shape and a flexible body that enhances their action in the water, making them more enticing to pike. Unlike other fishing baits, which may be designed for different species or fishing techniques, pike soft baits are tailored to attract this particular predator by imitating its natural food sources. Additionally, they may come in various colors and sizes to match local forage and water conditions.

Pike soft baits are commonly made from durable materials such as soft plastics, which provide flexibility and realistic movement in the water. These materials often include PVC or rubber compounds that can mimic the texture and appearance of natural prey. Some baits may also incorporate added scents or colors to enhance attraction for pike. The design and material choice aim to create an effective lure for anglers targeting pike in various fishing conditions.

Yes, certain colors of pike soft baits can be more effective depending on the fishing conditions. For example, brighter colors may work well in murky waters or low-light conditions, as they can attract attention. In clear water, more natural or subdued colors often mimic the appearance of local prey and can be more effective. It's beneficial to experiment with different colors to see what works best in your specific fishing environment.

To rig a pike soft bait for optimal performance, start by selecting a suitable hook size that matches the bait's length and weight. A common method is to use a jig head, which allows for a natural swimming action in the water. Ensure the hook is inserted through the head of the bait and exits at the midpoint to maintain balance. Additionally, consider using a weighted hook or adding a weight to achieve the desired depth and to enhance the bait's movement in the water.

The size of pike soft baits can influence their effectiveness in attracting fish. Larger baits may mimic bigger prey, making them suitable for targeting larger pike, while smaller baits can be more enticing to younger or less cautious fish. Additionally, the size can affect the action and movement in the water, which can be crucial for enticing strikes. Anglers often choose sizes based on the specific fishing conditions and the type of pike they are targeting.

Soft baits offer several advantages for pike fishing, primarily due to their realistic movement and flexibility in the water. They can mimic the natural swimming action of prey, making them more enticing to pike. Additionally, soft baits often come in various colors and sizes, allowing anglers to match the local forage more effectively. Their ability to be rigged in multiple ways also provides versatility in different fishing conditions.

Pike soft baits are generally most effective during the warmer months, particularly in spring and summer when pike are more active and feeding aggressively. As water temperatures rise, these baits can mimic the movement of prey, attracting pike. Additionally, early fall can also be a productive time, as pike prepare for winter and seek out food sources. Adjusting your fishing strategy based on seasonal patterns can enhance your success with these baits.
