Very consistent soft hitting putter. I ’ ve had it for a few weeks and I ’ ve made some long clutch putts I usually miss honestly. The head is on the smaller side so I think the aim small miss small is the key here. Inspires a lot of confidence 10ft and in. I bought this as an upgrade from a hand me down that the ghost of my grandfather led me to in a late night vision one night. Sort of like the Christmas Carole, but for golf. Anyways, the assistant took one look at me and knew that this putter was the choice for me. Not just because of my small wallet, or tall frame, but because of the aura points I was exuding. Historically I can ’ t sink a putt farther than four feet to save my life, but gripping this putter made me feel like I could hit it in from the tee box. The weight feels great on the swing and I find I ’ m consistently noticing the ball traveling the speeds and direction I want. Part of that is because I will it to obey my commands with the telekinesis, but that only developed as a result of buying this putter. All my golf friends foam at the mouth when I pull it out too, so if you want to show off for a reasonable price, buy this one I guess…9. 78/10

This is a classic, slightly larger, Ping PP58 `` Pingman '' grip that everyone knows. I stumbled upon a used Ping Anser putter, and snatched it up before someone else did. It had a replacement `` standard '' Ping grip on it, and it felt like putting with a pencil! LOL... Golf Galaxy easily swapped out the grips for me while I waited.

I was looking at all the available counter balanced putters, and this is the one I kept coming back to. In my unscientific side by side with the Taylormade, Tommy Armour, Scotty Cameron, etc. this is the one that I made the most putts with and felt most confident with. Performed excellent on the course, too- I was a noticeably better putter while using it, one or two putting almost all 18. Feels great, works great. If you try it and it works well for you, there is zero reason to buy anything more expensive unless you want to pay an extra couple hundred to have a different logo etched into your club.

Counter balance helps keep the puter on line. I would usually pull short putts and this has solved that problem. The long grip with the hands seperated keeps the face square and online through the stroke. It took a minute to work the distance but now long putts put me in the Gim me range.

I found an 80's era Ping B60 on eBay recently. It has the original, slim, OEM Ping putter grip, amazingly still intact! Problem- with my `` meat hook '' hands, I could n't hold onto it, if you know what I mean... Golf Galaxy has the midsize PP58 Ping grips( plain and full cord), and they are amazing! Very comfortable, very durable, and you do n't get that feeling like the putter was meant for a 10yr old boy, LOL... The techs knew of the Ping B60, etc... and quickly and easily, swapped the grips for me while I waited. This new PP58 with full cord is fantastic! I can grip it easily, and it provides a lot more `` feel '' to the putting stroke, much like my prized Odyssey White Hot does. In a nutshell: If you have a Ping putter( or like me, collect older Ping putters...) the new PP58 grips are the best you can buy! You wo n't be disappointed, believe me!

I have an old Ping putter that I love using and the grip was worn so much that the shaft was coming through the top of the grip and cutting my glove when I leaned on the putter. Good entry point into center shaft putters. I ’ ve putted the best I ever have a month after getting this putter. I ’ d recommend getting a ping blackout or cord grip for more control. Everything feels more aligned, the only complaint I have is the face. It ’ ll take you a week or so to get used to the sweet spot, comes off the face slow if you hit the ball with the bottom lip.

I 've been dabbling with blade putters for the longest time. I 've tinkered with the Scottsdale lineup in different stores and really enjoyed the center shafted Tyne C model. This was definitely a better feel than my Scotty and my putts felt like they were going straighter than ever before! The only thing that is tricky is the distance control from 40- 50 ft out. I had zero issue w/ my Scotty on this but I 'll take the trade off for accuracy and learn the distance control soon.

Real greens have many different slopes and grain and this putter was too light for me to get a good feel. I have been using my odyssey putter for the past 20 years and was not putting great. I just thought I a was a bad putter. This putter is basically automatic. I also own a Spider Tour X that cost me an arm and a leg more than this Ping Scottsdale Anser 2D and I have to say it is a dead heat as to which one I like better. In hindsight, I would have saved the money for something else and just gone with the Ping. The insert on this is magical, and feel is off the charts. Basically, feels like a softer milled face putter, and the balance and weight is superior to the many other putters I have tried. As always, the design and materlals used by Ping are top notch-- shaft made in Japan( likely by Nippon or Fujikura), head is made in Vietnam, and it's all assembled in the good ole US of A. Ping designs and materials are unmatched. You get more than what you pay for! Who needs a$ 400+ putter when you can snag this at under$ 250?!
