The old ones zippered securely shut and had a clip to attach to your belt or pack when traveling and not needing to wear the sunglasses. It has adjustable nosepads which I know can be a deal breaker for some but for those of us with flat bridges aka Asians, they are practically a necessity for any glasses to fit comfortably. [ Bought a month ago for freshwater sailing and fishing. They look great on my large noggin. Had my eyes on different sunglasses but these looked best in person by far. One downfall is when cleaning part of the lens can pop out of place. Haven ’ t had issues when wearing though.

[ I purchased these for a trip that I would need glacier glasses. I found an online article comparing choices and I chose to try these due to the removable sides, the weight of the glasses, their multi- use design( water& snow sports) and mid range price point. Note that the all black version does NOT come with the side shields. I discovered this after I first tried the black. But I ’ m actually much happier with the look of the smoke frames with mirror lenses. The smoke is not as stark a look. I ’ m a female with medium to large female head and these fit well and look good on me. They may be big for women with smaller heads. They are so light that I barely feel them. Which is important when I ’ ll be wearing for extended periods on the water. Even with a hat on, they felt comfortable on my ears. I ’ ve never spent so much money on sunglasses before, but I can definitely feel the quality. The trip I needed them for got canceled but I decided to keep them because I like them so much and they are so versatile.

The Keola fits awesome! It has adjustable nosepads which I know can be a deal breaker for some but for those of us with flat bridges aka Asians, they are practically a necessity for any glasses to fit comfortably. I also configured my pair in the shiny green with the Hawai' i Lava lens. The contrast of green frame and red lenses really make the pair very distinctive! Even my wife loves it! Throw in the fact they weigh near nothing, these are my new favorite pair& these allow me to retire my old Ka'ala pair.
