Purchased for a 3 night, 2 day music and camping festival to keep my food cold and safe. while I did add more ice, the ice on the bottom remained the entire time, from Thursday afternoon to Sunday when I got home. I am happy with the ice retention. It is great! I also purchased this for the size( and price) and while the cooler is large enough for one person's food, it is very heavy. I did n't use the shoulder strap but rather put it in a wagon and wheeled it to my campsite. I wish this smaller version came with wheels. The weight is why I did n't give it 5 stars. I realize it is heavy to keep the ice cold but I overestimated my ability to carry it and will likely never use the shoulder strap.

The compressor noise is quite low but is there. The one option that would be useful is a wheel that would allow one person to move the cooler easily. Outstanding! Purchased the ICF 18 a month ago and used for 8 days straight without any problem. We found our perfect temp was 34 degrees. This cooler was spot on with the temperature although the smaller compartment above the compressor was just a few degrees higher. We opted to use that area for soda cans and items that weren ’ t as sensitive to temperature. The main area kept things really cold. I used a refrigerator thermometer before our trip and felt the internal thermometer was spot on within a degree or two. For longer trips or families the 32( size wise might be better), but we are happy with our choice! The unit was powered with a portable power supply that kept our Igloo running all day while driving with power to spare! To be fair, the Igloo was in a climate controlled car nearly all the time. Hope this helps and we would highly recommend the Igloo ICF 18. It is also very quiet as someone else mentioned. This cooler really has everything I was looking for in a performance cooler. The insulation is great. It has secure closing tabs. It has a drain plug. It has a bottle opener. It is a little on the heavy side but all of the good in this cooler can not happen without some weight. Having said that, this cooler is much lighter than many of its competitors. Some folks dig on coolers not keeping cool as long as advertised. It is important to realize that if you put ice/drinks/food in a warm cooler you are bound to have some initial melting just to bring the temperature down. Add some ice prior to using the cooler and it will last really well. No question it's a great deal for what you get.

I like the Trailmate 25. It is big but not bulky or too heavy like some coolers in this size range. It has a metal handle with a nice rubberized grip on it. While similar to other models Igloo offers, this cooler has a seal in the lid, improved rubber latches, drain plug, and heavy duty hinges on the back. It is made in USA which I appreciate and is very solid. Not sure how many total days it can retain ice, since I only use for weekend use. I hope this lasts me many years. Overall I would recommend this cooler. Minor issues that could be improved: 1. I would like the handle to `` lock '' in the upright position to reduce the cooler from swaying side to side while carrying it. 2. The notches where the rubber latches secure are hollow underneath. This allows the latches to scrape/scuff the plastic edges which could possibly wear down overtime. 3. The drain plug could be a tad lower in the cooler so it does n't have to be tipped to drain the last remaining water. 4. I added no- skid furniture pads to the bottom to reduce scratches and scuffs and increase grip for transportation.

I got the ICF60 recently and finally got a chance to use it. I set the cooler to 0F, put about 15 pounds of frozen venison in the cooler, put the cooler inside the car and headed out. Over the course of the 6 hour drive, I never heard a sound from it and I was about 2 feet from it the entire time. About an hour from my destination, I had to unplug the cooler from the cigarette lighter. When I get to my destination, the meat was still frozen and hard as a rock! I will be using the cooler on all my hunting trips in the future!

I bought this cooler on a Friday morning since I was going camping in 90 degree weather and needed something that would keep my food cold for a few days. On Friday at 11: 00am I put 6( 7lb) bags of ice in it and loaded it up with tons of food I had prepped to feed 7 people. I got to the campsite at 3pm and the temperature was 92 degrees. I put it in the shade. Saturday it was 98 degrees. I got home Sunday( 92 degrees) evening and took all the food out and drained some of the water out and put it back in my car. I left ice in it because I wanted to see how long it would last. It has been in my car for 24 hours and there is still a good amount of ice chunks in it( see photo). I am impressed. I was worried as some of the reviews mentioned cheap handles but I feel like it is pretty sturdy and didn ’ t have any issues.

First and foremost, this was the cheapest cooler I could find on any site with the reviews it had so I took a chance. I go car camping a lot but I have always used other peoples coolers and never owned one myself. This one is a lot lighter than I thought which was equally good and bad, I was worried about its ability but let me tell you how unfounded my worries were. I put a large and small bag of ice( about 24 lbs) in the cooler at 2pm on Saturday and camped in 88 degree weather. I wanted to test it, and for two days it sat outside directly in the sun. We live on a lake and near the beach a small like to go to the springs. Took this to the springs and the dry pocket keeps your phone and keys dry, our food and drinks stayed cold and the ice kept the entire day. It also floats, so when floating down the river, you can literally just strap this to the raft and it ’ ll float, so much easier than having to rent another raft and hope your cooler doesn ’ t fall off it. I recieved the 36 can cooler and i was able to fit 24 cans plus ice. We have had a mild winter where i live so i decided to fill this cooler and test it by setting it outside for 5 days. I checked on it everyday. Day 2 still had ALL ice. Day 3 it started to melt. By day 5 all ice was melted but drinks were still ICE COLD. The magnetic lid creates an insulation like no other. I believe that is the feature that kept my drinks cold for so long. The zippers well, they are tough to open however it really seals out the warm air so i can live with it. The thing that makes the zipper so difficult is that it is outlined in silicone/rubber for a tight seal so it does serve a purpose. The front pouch is perfect size for plates& cutlery. I also love the thoughtfulness of adding a bottle opener. Overall, i think this is a great cooler and i cant wait to see how it works while outside, camping in the hot summers. I would recommend.

We keep two YETI Tundra 65 coolers on the porch full of refreshments, both alcoholic and non- alcoholic. We regularly host `` Pop Up Porch Parties '', or as I like to call them, `` PUPPS ''. Before we bought the YETIs we went through a ridiculous amount of ice. Now ice lasts three of four days, even during the hottest days of the years. We also have been involved in animal rescue for twenty years. In June I completed my third long mission of the year transporting dogs to new homes. Since I 'm transporting dogs across many states, I use bottled water so that their stomachs wo n't be upset by multiple sources. This involves loading a case of water into a Yeti Tundra 65 and heading on my way. At the end of a six- day trip there was still ice, and the water was still cold. YETI is the best.
