I was looking for a small cooler for little day trips and things and of course the sticker shock of the yetis was enough to make your head spin.$ 200 and they are n't even made stateside. Took a stroll down the igloo aisle because it was more of my budget and was surprised to see that they were actually made in USA! The cooler itself is great, it's small and easy to bring with you, but big enough that you can still load a decent amount of stuff in it and whether you use ice or the igloo freezer blocks, it does a great job of keeping things cold for a reasonable amount of time. 10 out of 10, would definitely recommend this cooler for small day trips or if you need a lunch box. If you are like a construction worker or a truck driver or something it's perfect for that sort of thing.

I have used this cooler a few times now. It seems sturdy, and has kept ice well. Good for a budget cooler. I would n't give it 5 stars because the lid seems to be lacking insulation. However, it does n't seem to hurt it's performance very much.

Outstanding! Purchased the ICF 18 a month ago and used for 8 days straight without any problem. We found our perfect temp was 34 degrees. This cooler was spot on with the temperature although the smaller compartment above the compressor was just a few degrees higher. We opted to use that area for soda cans and items that weren ’ t as sensitive to temperature. The main area kept things really cold. I used a refrigerator thermometer before our trip and felt the internal thermometer was spot on within a degree or two. For longer trips or families the 32( size wise might be better), but we are happy with our choice! The unit was powered with a portable power supply that kept our Igloo running all day while driving with power to spare! To be fair, the Igloo was in a climate controlled car nearly all the time. Hope this helps and we would highly recommend the Igloo ICF 18. It is also very quiet as someone else mentioned. The cooler( fully loaded) was also manageable for a couple of seniors to lift in and out of our car. Good job and Thank you Igloo!!!

If you love cold drinks driving to hot states in the summer or any time this is a great cooler that will do the job. This is highly recommended as opposed to thermoelectric coolers if you need to travel with medication that must be at a certain temperature. The only drawback is that all compressor coolers are heaver by design. The bail handle seems strong enough by design to handle to full weight of the cooler. Where the bail handle attaches to both sides of the cooler body, this is why I gave this cooler 4 stars. It seems to be loose fitting and flimsy at the ends. The handles will just fall down to the sides when let go. The cooling and holding temperature work as designed and the compressor will stay off for about an hour to cool again at the set temp.( 42' F). I recommend the cooler, wish the price was less, great overall satisfaction.

Our first camping trip this spring for 5 days. The label says 6 days. Temps were high in low 70's, lows in the 40's. And we came home with ice. Great job. I froze about 15 pounds of meat in ziplocks, and placed in plastic cereal boxed shaped containers. and put two gallons of frozen ice jugs. With about 24 cans and condiments. We came home with a golf ball sized ice cube in the gallon jugs, and cold meat! One more gallon of ice and it would have made 6 days, no doubt. We bought the Yeti 65 as a family of 4 for weekend camping trips. It ’s great for storing frozen/refrigerated goods. Shortly after we bought it, we had tornados come through and knocked power out for a little over 24 hours. We immediately threw our freezer foods in the cooler without pre- cooling first. I was shocked that all of our frozen foods were still very much frozen after 24 hours without having the cooler down to temp. 10/10 recommend.

This is our first Yeti cooler and we 're very happy with how it performed this past weekend. Here in the AZ desert highs were in the 90's with plenty of sunshine. It was easy to pack. The contents and the 2 bags of ice stayed cold from 3am Friday morning through Saturday night. We were in and out of the cooler pulling ice for drinks. As expected, the ice melted but the water was still quite cold to the touch Sunday morning. We 'll be investing in a smaller chest to keep ice in for beverages to minimize raising the temp in the food cooler. Is heavier than expected, definitely `` solid ''!

I researched for about 2 weeks after my “ USA made ” lifetime cooler broke after a few years of lite duty. After all the reviews and research I decided on a orca cooler and guess what? I didn ’ t make a mistake I would put this on yeti level with a better warranty and being made right here in the states. My cooler came with a big scratch on top but it looks like something shipping did.
