I bought this cooler on a Friday morning since I was going camping in 90 degree weather and needed something that would keep my food cold for a few days. On Friday at 11: 00am I put 6( 7lb) bags of ice in it and loaded it up with tons of food I had prepped to feed 7 people. I got to the campsite at 3pm and the temperature was 92 degrees. I put it in the shade. Saturday it was 98 degrees. I got home Sunday( 92 degrees) evening and took all the food out and drained some of the water out and put it back in my car. I left ice in it because I wanted to see how long it would last. It has been in my car for 24 hours and there is still a good amount of ice chunks in it( see photo). I am impressed. I was worried as some of the reviews mentioned cheap handles but I feel like it is pretty sturdy and didn ’ t have any issues.

This cooler really has everything I was looking for in a performance cooler. The insulation is great. It has secure closing tabs. It has a drain plug. It has a bottle opener. It is a little on the heavy side but all of the good in this cooler can not happen without some weight. Having said that, this cooler is much lighter than many of its competitors. Some folks dig on coolers not keeping cool as long as advertised. It is important to realize that if you put ice/drinks/food in a warm cooler you are bound to have some initial melting just to bring the temperature down. Add some ice prior to using the cooler and it will last really well. No question it's a great deal for what you get.

I like the Trailmate 25. It is big but not bulky or too heavy like some coolers in this size range. It has a metal handle with a nice rubberized grip on it. While similar to other models Igloo offers, this cooler has a seal in the lid, improved rubber latches, drain plug, and heavy duty hinges on the back. It is made in USA which I appreciate and is very solid. Not sure how many total days it can retain ice, since I only use for weekend use. I hope this lasts me many years. Overall I would recommend this cooler. Minor issues that could be improved: 1. I would like the handle to `` lock '' in the upright position to reduce the cooler from swaying side to side while carrying it. 2. The notches where the rubber latches secure are hollow underneath. This allows the latches to scrape/scuff the plastic edges which could possibly wear down overtime. 3. The drain plug could be a tad lower in the cooler so it does n't have to be tipped to drain the last remaining water. 4. I added no- skid furniture pads to the bottom to reduce scratches and scuffs and increase grip for transportation.

I got the ICF60 recently and finally got a chance to use it. I set the cooler to 0F, put about 15 pounds of frozen venison in the cooler, put the cooler inside the car and headed out. Over the course of the 6 hour drive, I never heard a sound from it and I was about 2 feet from it the entire time. About an hour from my destination, I had to unplug the cooler from the cigarette lighter. When I get to my destination, the meat was still frozen and hard as a rock! I will be using the cooler on all my hunting trips in the future!

I 've had at least 3 other models of Igloo branded coolers in the past and have loved them all. We normally use a pair of trail mate journeys, so this is about the same volume as what we 're used to, but the exterior is much more compact( no wheels or extra exterior parts/compartments) and not needing the ice will help get a lot more packed in. Where we use the trailmate for going camping, this will be used for a multi- week trip with multiple nights in hotels along the way to where we 're going. We 're going to be staying about an hour from a grocery store, so having a vehicle refrigerator will help a lot with surviving more days between trips to the store. This will go in the back of our SUV each day and plug into the car for power, moving it to the hotel each night to plug in. I have a battery pack with 220Whr of capacity, but from my tests within my house it wo n't be enough to leave it running off of this in the car overnight. I like that this has a good rubber seal and it sucks tight when you try to open it, so no air leaks like a typical cooler. I 'd like to see it with a bit thicker of a wall so that it would run a bit more efficiently, though it really does n't take that much power. I 'm also glad this is n't a thermoelectric cooler, like the ones that were popular in the 1990s. The unit does n't make much noise, so it wo n't wake anyone up or keep anyone up in the hotel rooms, at least no more than my snoring. The real test for this will be in the summer here in Arizona, but so far its an amazing cooler, definitely lasts longer than my tundra haul. 5 days with original ice and its solid as a rock. The really cool thing that yeti does n't mention is it comes with a cover with the sides cut open to allow use of the handles for transport and protecting the metal finish! I wish they made covers for their tundras so it would help keep the sun off.

Outstanding! Purchased the ICF 18 a month ago and used for 8 days straight without any problem. We found our perfect temp was 34 degrees. This cooler was spot on with the temperature although the smaller compartment above the compressor was just a few degrees higher. We opted to use that area for soda cans and items that weren ’ t as sensitive to temperature. The main area kept things really cold. I used a refrigerator thermometer before our trip and felt the internal thermometer was spot on within a degree or two. For longer trips or families the 32( size wise might be better), but we are happy with our choice! The unit was powered with a portable power supply that kept our Igloo running all day while driving with power to spare! To be fair, the Igloo was in a climate controlled car nearly all the time. Hope this helps and we would highly recommend the Igloo ICF 18. It is also very quiet as someone else mentioned. The cooler( fully loaded) was also manageable for a couple of seniors to lift in and out of our car. Good job and Thank you Igloo!!!

I bought this cooler for long back county trips with clients. It provides plenty of size while still fitting nicely in the bed of a standard pickup. The depth is not too deep and the length is not too long. We debated on the 160 vs 210, but for food practicality we decided on the 160 due to the depth difference. The fact that it has wheels is a plus for me because, it makes moving it very easy. The quality is great and the inside is fully insulated. We used this for my daughter ’s birthday and the drinks& ice left inside was still chilled even after 3 days. We had 80 cans of drinks, and they all fitted inside with little space left. It does have a drainage inside for easy draining of water or fluid. It ’s easy to open, and it does have a feature on both side for carrying or you can use the trolley.
