Purchased for a 3 night, 2 day music and camping festival to keep my food cold and safe. while I did add more ice, the ice on the bottom remained the entire time, from Thursday afternoon to Sunday when I got home. I am happy with the ice retention. It is great! I also purchased this for the size( and price) and while the cooler is large enough for one person's food, it is very heavy. I did n't use the shoulder strap but rather put it in a wagon and wheeled it to my campsite. I wish this smaller version came with wheels. The weight is why I did n't give it 5 stars. I realize it is heavy to keep the ice cold but I overestimated my ability to carry it and will likely never use the shoulder strap.

[ So, while I was sent the wrong one( as seen in photo and I didn ’ t get the backpack one which would ’ ve been awesome), the cooler is still really great. We live on a lake and near the beach a small like to go to the springs. Took this to the springs and the dry pocket keeps your phone and keys dry, our food and drinks stayed cold and the ice kept the entire day. It also floats, so when floating down the river, you can literally just strap this to the raft and it ’ ll float, so much easier than having to rent another raft and hope your cooler doesn ’ t fall off it. The lid has strong magnets that hold it closed even when the zipper isn ’ t open. The strap is large and nice and comfortable if you have a full cooler. There is a nice metal bottle opener attached to the side of the cooler and a large front pocket for carrying small items. Overall this cooler offers a lot and is priced very affordable when compared to other competitors. I would recommend this cooler to people who want quality and affordability.

[ Wow!! What a durable and functional cooler. The sleek exterior look is desirable and neutral. The durability of this cooler is high- end. I recieved the 36 can cooler and i was able to fit 24 cans plus ice. We have had a mild winter where i live so i decided to fill this cooler and test it by setting it outside for 5 days. I checked on it everyday. Day 2 still had ALL ice. Day 3 it started to melt. By day 5 all ice was melted but drinks were still ICE COLD. The magnetic lid creates an insulation like no other. I believe that is the feature that kept my drinks cold for so long. The zippers well, they are tough to open however it really seals out the warm air so i can live with it. The thing that makes the zipper so difficult is that it is outlined in silicone/rubber for a tight seal so it does serve a purpose. The front pouch is perfect size for plates& cutlery. I also love the thoughtfulness of adding a bottle opener. Overall, i think this is a great cooler and i cant wait to see how it works while outside, camping in the hot summers. I would recommend.

The real test for this will be in the summer here in Arizona, but so far its an amazing cooler, definitely lasts longer than my tundra haul. 5 days with original ice and its solid as a rock. The really cool thing that yeti does n't mention is it comes with a cover with the sides cut open to allow use of the handles for transport and protecting the metal finish! I wish they made covers for their tundras so it would help keep the sun off.

I have a tundra haul,( 2) 45s, and a 35. But I had to pull the trigger on this sexy piece of engineering design. It ’s definitely going to be my stay at home cooler for patio and get togethers. I attached photos next to a tundra 45. The thinner walls definitely help out a lot to reduce cooler overall size yet gain area inside. It might also tag along on some road trips since it has a small footprint and taller. It ’s built solid, but I will definitely baby it compared to my tundras. The wife even likes how it looks in the kitchen( just dont tell her the price tag...). It was shipped very securely and the black nylon cover is a very nice touch. Love the single latch and handles. Easy to hold and carry alone, but a bit heavier due to the SS. Curious if they will release more sizes and colors in the future... I ’ m sure they will since they say “ series ”. The zippers are special. It has 2 layers. One is a normal zipper, and the other is like a ziplock. when we pull the zipper we actually zip 2 zippers at the same time. That's cool but it's a little hard to pull. Maybe because it's new. Hope it gets smoother after using it more often.

[ This is my first Yeti cooler( recommended by a friend who owns multiple Yeti coolers). It lives up to it's stellar reputation and keeps things cold for days at a time during warm weather camping trips. Best to use with freezer packs( either the hard type that Yeti sells or the soft type, such as Cooler Shock). It's definitely bigger than you think because of the heavy duty insulation. Some might find the metal handle protrudes too much for them when collapsed but it does n't bother my family. I like that the rubber securing latches are actually replaceable, and you can get them from Yeti and find lots of videos to remove/replace in case you ever need to. And the drain plug is a godsend- why so many companies cheap out there is beyond me? We have n't purchased any of the accessories yet but plan to at some point. Overall it's definitely a little expensive but having been through so many cheaper coolers that eventually failed sooner than they should have, we 're counting on the YETI quality to go the distance.

Outstanding! Purchased the ICF 18 a month ago and used for 8 days straight without any problem. We found our perfect temp was 34 degrees. This cooler was spot on with the temperature although the smaller compartment above the compressor was just a few degrees higher. We opted to use that area for soda cans and items that weren ’ t as sensitive to temperature. The main area kept things really cold. I used a refrigerator thermometer before our trip and felt the internal thermometer was spot on within a degree or two. For longer trips or families the 32( size wise might be better), but we are happy with our choice! The unit was powered with a portable power supply that kept our Igloo running all day while driving with power to spare! To be fair, the Igloo was in a climate controlled car nearly all the time. Hope this helps and we would highly recommend the Igloo ICF 18. It is also very quiet as someone else mentioned. The cooler( fully loaded) was also manageable for a couple of seniors to lift in and out of our car. Good job and Thank you Igloo!!!
