However I did get a chance to test them for some summer riding in OR and they were quite comfy and stable going down the mountain. [ Let me start by saying that these were my favorite sunglasses in the 90s, and when I had LASIK surgery I was very stoked to find out that Oakley had reissued them. The Good: They seem to be even sturdier than the originals. The new Prism lenses are very clear and sharp. The overall profile of the sunglasses is similar to the original Frogskins. Oakley offers replacement lenses for these sunglasses. The Bad: They are not exactly the same in either shape or in size as the originals. The reissues are bigger both horizontally and vertically. This is why Oakley now offers what they call `` Asian Profile '' Frogskins. The `` Asian Profile '' is actually much closer to the original size of Frogskins from the 90s. On the whole, they seem to be very solidly built and the style is close enough to the original that I am satisfied with the fit. They are very expensive, but the build quality is quite high, and when you factor in the replacement leses that are offered, I feel they are worth the money.

I sat on or broke a few pairs back in the day so I was stoked when they re- released them and realized that unlike the original versions, there are no metal/screw hinges so the arms pop off if you sit on them and go right back together. Couple that with endless color combos and lenses that are easily interchangeable plus being light, comfy and easy on the eyes and you 're stoked... the optics are dope. no brainer.

The darker lens aren ’ t as dark as my typical sunglasses, but this results in being able to wear them when overcast. [ Bought a month ago for freshwater sailing and fishing. They look great on my large noggin. Had my eyes on different sunglasses but these looked best in person by far. One downfall is when cleaning part of the lens can pop out of place. Haven ’ t had issues when wearing though.

[ These are sporty but can also be dressed up. Love the coverage and the Sapphire lens has great clarity. This lens has a grey base, so colors are neutral and they 're comfortable for driving.

I opted for the deep water polarization and I ’ m really impressed by the amount of contrast they provided. Makes a big difference while fishing and the are great for driving too.
